My husband and I recently moved to SML. We loved our N.J. dentist, thinking no one would compare, but we are thrilled with Dr. Sicher and his staff. We highly recommend Smith Mountain Lake Dental Practice!!

There is no better dentist than Dr Sicher. I was a hygienist and an assistant in my early years. I’ve know many dentists from both sides of the chair. He is compassionate and so smart. Dr.’s staff are the most loving caring people I’ve ever known. I’ve never felt as at ease as he makes me. I have complete confidence in he and all who work for him. Dr. Sicher takes the time to ensure that his patients receive the optimum in dental care. He and his staff are both professional and empathetic to the needs and goals of their patients. I have had the pleasure of taking my Mom, friend, and now I am a patient. Such a professional and caring staff. During the covid I felt very safe and they were so cautious and definitely followed the guidelines. I have to drive an hour but will continue because it is so worth it. They feel like family!

Excellent practice. We moved 1400 miles away and come back to Dr. Sicher and his practice. The staff is incredibly professional, with all being long term in the practice.

The staff is always so welcoming! I have been a patient with Dr. Sicher for about 16 years! They are the best! They have always been extremely clean. With the Covid-19 virus impacting us they have taken every precaution possible to keep patients protected!! Highly recommend them!!!

I have been a patient here for seven years. Over that period I have had numerous procedures done, from regular cleaning to caps to a recent root canal. Dr. Sicher has a very well equipped office and has done excellent work for me. I recommend this practice.

I am a new patient with Dr. Sicher, and I am very impressed with his practice and staff. Options have been explained to me very thoroughly, the hygienists are gentle and thorough, and everyone is friendly. I am very glad that I have been able to get on as a patient at Smith Mountain Lake Dental Practice.

Just had another good visit at this practice. Excellent COVID-19 procedures. All the staff is pleasant and very professional.

From the first phone call through my apt made very quickly, I was very impressed with the entire office. The wonderful woman who answers the phone set the stage for a caring place for a new patient. The Dr was informative, kind, professional and listened to my plan for my teeth. The fact that my crown will be done in one day and that he does implants all in this office is amazing. They don’t take dental insurance but we use care credit for dental care. I am totally impressed with my first visit. I will let you know how my crowns go and my future implants. My experience was very good. I have been going to Dr. Sicher for over 30 years. His staff is very professional and friendly. Best dental practice ever...total explanation for everything...great staff

As usual, everything was five star, from initial greeting to completion of dental work. All this was accomplished under adverse conditions related to the corona virus.

I visited Dr. Sicher’s office last week for my 6 month cleaning and, as always, the staff and work they do is top notch. The new safety precautions they have in place are so comforting and gave me peace of mind going in for my dental appointment. I have been a patient there for 17 years and I drive almost an hour to come here because they are the best! In the past, Dr. Sicher corrected my bite to stop me from my nighttime teeth grinding and it worked. Dr. Sicher and his office have changed with the times and I always feel like they have the most current training and information to provide the best dental care possible. I was very disappointed with this office. I thought the prices were exorbitant. My charges for an oral exam and cleaning were over $400! I was further dismayed by my" treatment" evaluation; it started out at $8300.00 and felt like I was haggling with a used car salesman. The final haggled price $2932.00. I thought the price haggling was most unprofessional. This was without fixing on my bite, without a deep scaling on one tooth, without 3 crown replacements and 6 cavities filled. I go to the dentist every 6 months for a check up and cleaning and keep up with my dental treatments and wondered how this much work could be possible, and how my teeth could be in that kind of shape. I decided to see at least one other dentist without saying a word about my dental "issues",and just go for a cleaning. Guess what? No cavities, my bite was fine, my gums were very healthy, my crowns didn't need to be replaced. How could a dentist do this to his clients? I could not recommend this office to anyone in good consious. I would give minus 5 stars but can not and leave a review. I was very disappointed with this office. Clearly, a flawless operation, using the latest state of the art equipment and techniques. Most importantly, Dr. Sicher and his outstanding staff are superbly trained, experienced, and understand the importance of in-touch customer service.

For a variety of reasons, primarily back surgeries and long recuperation's it has been several years since I've been to the dentist. I couldn't put it off any longer because one tooth began hurting. I called for an appointment with Dr. Sicher primarily because he's close to where I live. I can't describe well enough how happy I am to have established a relationship with him and his entire staff. From the moment I walked inside to this immaculately clean and aesthetically pleasing office I felt comfortable. I LOVE the way the office operates. It's like a "well oiled machine" as they say. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Their appointments are made allowing the proper time for the work being done, they take you ON time (which is important to me) and they are more thorough than any other dentist I've been to. Dr. Sicher explains in great detail the work you require and you begin your own regiment when you are ready. In my case it was several visits in January and February. From the cleaning, to xrays, extractions, fillings, and same day crowns; the staff and Dr. Sicher are concerned about you, your overall health, your pain tolerance and mostly your satisfaction with the work they do. I've previously been a coward about going to the dentist, dreading every trip. Not anymore. I trust this team completely for any procedure. The attention to detail and the patient care that I received with my dental implant was truly extraordinary! Dr. Sicher and his staff made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. Very disappointed in this office. Exorbitant pricing, over $400.00 for cleaning and evaluation. I felt the need to have a recheck at another office. None of Dr Sichers' findings were verified by other office. I would not recommend.

Dr. Sicher and his staff do everything to provide the best care in a quiet, peaceful environment that is as stress free as possible for a dentist office. The staff has excellent communication skills and treats you as if you were one of their close friends. Each one does their job efficiently, professionally and knowledgably. Your time is not wasted and you leave feeling you had the best care that could be given. I have seen many dentists in the past sixty years, and they all said I had a big problem with my bite. Then I never heard about it again. In the process to restore my teeth, Dr. Sicher worked on my bite a little bit at a time. One appointment was set to finally change my bite before the final fitting for my partial plate. That night I discovered that a good bite was a wonderful thing to possess. Equilibration? Yes, Please!!! In less than two hours Dr. Sicher and his staff completely corrected my bite. The result was tremendous. I should have had this procedure done years ago. Very knowledgeable and professional staff that you can trust. Two thumbs up!!!

State of the art equipment. The staff is very courteous and professional. Dr. Sicher is hands on with the patient. He explains a procedure being done and does it with extreme confidence.

Very expensive. We have excellent Met Life dental insurance and were billed over $1000 for services that were not covered by insurance. Our dentist in CA always provided services for a very minimal copay. Dr Sicher also does root canals and dental implants. I don't doubt he's an excellent dentist for general dentistry but I'd see a specialist for complex procedures. My wife had an awful experience with the first stage of her dental implant. Dr. Sicher seems to schedule himself tightly as it's not unusual to spend 30 minutes in the waiting room. Very expensive. I was referred to Dr Sicher for severe TMJ. My jaw was so bad I was only sipping soup and drinking though a straw. He was able, over several weeks, to get me to a place of only occasional pain and help me reach no pain. It was best money I've every spent.

Great, great dentist and staff! I'm a relatively new resident to the SML area and about 6 months ago, I had a dental emergency. Dr. Sicher saw me right away and took care of that problem. Afterwards, I had a new patient. full dental exam where he discovered my jaw was somewhat dislocated, a condition I never new existed. I'm 62 years old and have had plenty of dental work performed over the years, yet no other dentist ever told me this. I do recall finding myself grinding my teeth and Dr. Sicher said that the grinding was due to my jaw not being properly lined up, and fillings and/or crowns not even in my mouth. So just last week, he performed an "Equilibration" dental procedure on my jaw, meaning he realigned it and did some grinding of my healthy teeth that was making my bite awkward. The procedure was not painful or uncomfortable at all, but it took him about 2 hours to complete. Again, I had no idea that my jaw was out of alignment. Now all I can say is, "WOW!" My mouth and jaw feel terrific and the slight ringing that I had in my ears when I was laying down has completely gone away. Again, Dr. Sciher and his team are wonderful.
