Dr. Bruce Elliot Cohen

I am SO GLAD I made an appointment with Dr. Cohen. His bedside manner is terrific! He listened well, took his time, and it was obvious that he was interested in seeing that I understood everything about my toe. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who needs his type of expertise.

Dr. Irwin did my first surgery for a minor tendon tear. I was given poor post surgery instruction. Dr. Cohen did my second surgery for a more extensive tendon repair. He too gave poor post surgery instructions. My foot became deformed and I am a gimp. He stated I needed reconstructive surgery, but I wouldn't dare let him do it. I went elsewhere and have had two surgeries with poor results. I am about to have a 5th surgery. I have been in a cam walker or a cast for the past 4.5 years all because of these two doctors. My left hip has gone bad now and I need a replacement.

All of the staff and Dr. Cohen were extremely awesome!!! I never had any issues and surgery went wonderful!! The gentleman who did my cast was also super friendly and fun! Loved them all! ????

In my opinion, Dr. Cohen has an incredible reputation with both doctors and patients for his surgical skill and knowledge. In addition to his skill and years of surgical experience, he is exceptional with patient communication and care. I never once felt confused about any aspect of my severe bunion procedure or what to expect and when. He is confident and encouraging which makes for a great surgical experience and outcome. My experience was wonderful! Dr. Cohen was very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly to me, in a way that was easy for me to understand. I have been a patient of Dr. Cohen for the past 14 years after breaking my ankle in three places requiring surgery. He always spends time reviewing my chart to discuss my injury induced osteoarthritis symptoms and strategies for management. He is always professional and super knowledgeable.

Took the time to review and explain thoroughly.

I went to see Dr Cohen to see what could be done to alleviate foot pain from a years old injury. After discussing the available options, I decided on surgery. About three months after the procedure, the healing has progressed as he foretold and the pain is significantly reduced.

Foot has been turning for 5 years. After surgery by Dr. Cohen I am walking back to normal!!

Dr. Cohen is a gifted physician in every way. He surgically repaired my torn metatarsal pad. The procedure gave me my active lifestyle back. You can't put a price on that. His entire staff were great to work with.

Dr. Cohen listens and clearly explains medical conditions. You do not feel “rushed”. I appreciate very much that he offered a simple nonsurgical treatment to me that is WORKING! I highly recommend him.

Dr. Cohen operated on both of my feet (right foot in 2013 and my left foot in 2020). He is an excellent surgeon and doctor. I will highly recommend him and his staff (which is also excellent) to anyone seeking their services.

It’s really good to know the cause of the foot pain I’ve experienced these past few years. I had blamed my ankle fusion but that was not the problem. I have an old stress fracture in that foot that was not totally healed. If necessary there is a simple surgical solution. I should have seen Dr Cohen sooner!

Dr Cohen operated on my foot snd put a screw in the broken bone. He had operated on me before. That is why I went back. He is a great surgeon and Doctor. I highly recommend him. He is very kind, courteous and caring.

I went to an orthopedist in Fort Mill who was not knowledgeable and only recommended an mri which my insurance doesn’t cover. After seeing Dr. Cohen, he said it is most likely a minor injury and a mri would be last resort. Dr. Cohen is great, thorough and detailed.

From the first visit I was highly impressed with all the care I received and beyond. I highly recommend Dr Cowen to anyone.

I was seen on time and the staff was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable!

Compared my current xrays to 2017 for changes in my foot, answered my questions and provided recommendations in a friendly manner

Dr.Bruce Cohen performed a total ankle replacement for me three years ago. I was experiencing constant arthritic pain from a motorcycle mishap many years before that kept me up at night and the time had come to do something about it. My entire visit to Dr. Cohen’s office was nothing less than a wonderful experience. Everyone was professional, courteous and kind. My primary care physician recommended Dr. Cohen and I am so grateful. Dr. Cohen is everything one hopes for when seeing a specialist. He asks the right questions and listens to your responses, he exudes confidence and compassion and I am grateful to be under his care to solve my medical issues. Excellent doctor! The best! He is always friendly, courteous and concerned, but most importantly, knowledgeable. He knew how to approach the injury to my ankle when other doctors told me there was no hope for recovery. I trust him completely.

I arrived early to my appointment. I was greeted by very friendly receptionist. I waited maybe 2 minutes before I was taken back to a room. I cannot say enough how professional and friendly everyone was. I felt comfortable with Dr Cohen and felt like he took the time to listen and came up with a plan to relieve my pain. My visit could not have been better. Valet parking was great, A lady met us as we got off the elevator offered us coffee or water and pointed us in the right direction. Wait time was 5 min. x rays were taken quickly and Dr. Cohen reviewed them with me. I was not rushed at all, my questions were answered and diagnosis was given within an hour. My opinion : I received excellent care , the staff were courteous and professional. The waiting room and exam room were spotless, I have worked in the medical field 50 years and cannot say anything negative about this practice, Smart thinking and excellent PR with all the extra's , sure made my visit special and I will highly recommend to all my friends. Wonderful and caring. He is one of the best orthopedic surgeons around. Tries hard to treat conservatively first. Surgery is the last resort. A fabulous and highly competent ortho surgeon with a great personality -who knew you could actually have that?

I have been a patient of Dr. Cohen since 2008 and he has always been knowledgeable and yet understanding. He listens and answers all of my questions. He has performed a few surgeries on my feet and all have had great outcomes. I would and have recommended Dr. Cohen to others with foot and ankle problems.
