Dr. Brian David Shafer

Been trying to schedule a return call or telehealth appointment with this guy for over two days through HMG. Diabetic with Covid needing to have directions as far as treatment. Four calls to the office over two days and several transfers. Used the Patient Portal and no response ther either. Was told today that syptoms were mild so no return call or telehealth. How could he possibly know this when he has not even spoken to us. This guy cares nothing for his patients and has no empathy. STAY AWAY

My husband went for severe back pain and Dr Shafer sent him for MRI and then no contact. We had to call for follow up appt. At that appt they made treatment decision (with someone else) and then again NO CONTACT. Why is this man a Dr if he won't treat anyone????

Dr. Shafer is one of THE best doctors I have ever had and I have several specialists. I also work in health care so I have had years of experience working with doctors. He always takes the time to listen and before he leaves the room will ask if there is “ anything else?” The reason I gave a four is because of medicine call in’s. I recently had a refill I was told had been approved already by the doctor but it took the nurse several days to call the pharmacy. I love the compassionate way they treat my grandmother everytime she goes for an appointment. If they were more on top of sending her prescriptions into her pharmacy when needed I would have rated them 5 stars.

can't get them to answer the phone, EVER! needed a prescription refilled and i was on hold for my whole lunch hour and NEVER got thru to them. their customer care is poor.

Wanted to jump into rehab before getting more tests to show back damage..said nothing wrong with back..then i wanted a ct scan or mri which showed joint damage. He only wanted a regular exray when i knew i had soft tissue damage..he told me my back was fine..final exray showed disc degeneration..bone spurs..and bulging discs..
