Excellent clinician. Dr. Richardson trained at the finest schools & his heart is absolutely ???? GOLD. He takes his time with his patients & truly investigates...leaving no stone unturned. It is so rare to find doctors like him nowadays. He does not rush his appointments & he is such a good listener. Bless him & his practice!

Short wait. Took time to ask more than perfunctory questions. Personable, professional, and thorough.

I’ve never had a more upsetting encounter with a doctor. I came from out of town because I developed unexplained chronic symptoms after being exposed to some sick people and I didn’t understand why or how that could have caused my symptoms. Also I couldn’t get in somewhere closer to me sooner. Getting to the appointment alone was a difficult journey because of my fatigue/dizziness level. He did spend a good amount of time with me (about an hour) but after everything I told him, he disregarded EVERYTHING I said, as well as my symptom severity. He told it’s likely just my depression/anxiety/ALL PSYCHOSOMATIC!?!? I’m not sure if he is just to busy to look into a case like this but regardless, it is pretty frustrating to be dismissed by someone and have them tell you there is nothing wrong with you when clearly there is. For a while, I actually questioned my sanity because I was sure that these doctors must know everything and if he keep telling me it’s mental illness, that must be the truth. I eventually took research and matters into my own hands which lead me to effective treatments and departments such as Endocrinology that was able to help me find answers as to what is wrong with me. I don’t know why that would have been so hard for a doctor to do, especially if you think a health issue is not within your specialty, then it would have been nice to be referred to someone else. And FOR ANY POTENTIAL NEW PATIENTS, don’t let them call you the day before your appointment so they can say your insurance won’t cover it. It’s absolute b.s. I spoke to my insurance and they said everything was covered and there should be no problems. It’s just an annoying “screw up” so your forced to pay out of pocket. Dr Richardson seemed like a very responsive and capable practitioner. He was direct and clear in his communications and understood my situation well and provided what we thought was a logical diagnosis. I was very comfortable with him and he came across confident and certain, which was reassuring for a first time visit.

Yesterday I had my referral consultation visit on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Dr. Brian C. Richardson was a "Breath of Fresh Air" from what I had became use to experiencing during my post stroke recovery. Being a post stroke survivor can be a bit overwhelming and mentally draining when you are trying to be PROACTIVE in your ultimate recovery. His mannerism was outstanding! He went over each of my concerns very carefully and efficiently! He listened to my daughter and I attentively. It is so welcoming to be able to relate to a doctor who is empathetic to my needs. Thank you Dr. Richardson! Yesterday I had my referral consultation visit on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. … More

I saw Dr Richardson a couple of years ago at the Berkley Medical Center . He was called in as the neurologist on call. He came into my room without a greeting and appeared frustrated and uninterested, as if it was an inconvenience for him to be there. He was there for 5 mins, if that, asked a couple of questions and left. My visit uncovered 2 brain aneurysm that were finally removed in December 2020. I still clearly remember this because his lack of compassion and care was so obviously projected - very small indeed. I saw Dr Richardson a couple of years ago at the Berkley Medical Center . Staff is INCOMPETENT!!! Booked me for a video visit as a new patient, only problem is video visits are not allowed for new patients. How did I find out; 2 hours before my appointment when they called to say they made a mistake and I’ll have to make it to their office or reschedule. Unfortunately for me I had to cancel because I live a hour and a half away so there was no way I was going to be able to make it to their office in time, and the next appointment was weeks out, I need assistance ASAP. Key Takeaways... 1. How in the world did I get booked with a video visit as a new patient if that is not allowed. 2. There was plenty of time to catch the mistake and correct it, why did they do it 2 hours before my appointment which left me no room to make adjustments. 3. The whole process (from referral to appointment) took a month to maneuver and I got nowhere because of this Doctors incompetent staff. Summary; How can they provide excellent care if they can’t even book you correctly... Way too incompetent to ensure excellent care!!! Staff is INCOMPETENT!!! Dr. Richardson is a great doctor. In 2003 I was having slight head aches which escalated overtime and other doctors were dismissive of the issue. He uncovered the issue, treated and helped me through full recovery.

INITIAL NEW PATIENT,1ST VISIT. NEVER INTRODUCED HIMSELF, RUDE, NO EYE CONTACT. BURIED HIS FACE IN MONITOR IN FRONT OF HIM. (DISADVANTAGES OF ELECTRONIC RECORDS) SEEMED IRRITATED. RUNNING WAY BEHIND. QUESTIONED MY KNOWLEDGE OF MY HUSBAND MEDICAL HISTORY WHICH I DONT APPRECIATE.

Dr. Richardson was a 10 minute consultation that cost $542 and I have PPO. I really was not impressed with him. He prescribed pills for my headaches that made me nauseous. Really didn't take the time out and ask a whole lot of questions. He seemed disengaged maybe because I was the last patient of the day. Also, I had to wait an additional 45 minutes in the lobby because he was running late. Make sure you ask how much its going to cost before you get his services. One bright note, the office staff is professional and kind. Dr. Richardson was a 10 minute consultation that cost $542 and I have PPO. I really was not impressed with him. Extremely efficient doctor who diagnosed me properly 2 years ago and when seen lately helped alleviate fears of possible issues. Takes the time to talk to you and seems like he really cares. Staff and facility also top rate.

I've been Dr. Richardson's patient, it will be be eight years in 2017. I've stayed with him this long for one reason. He's a great neurologist. He is a very good listener. And takes what you tell him is wrong very serious. He is very compassionate, respectful and informative.

I showed him my MRI and he misdiagnosed me. Instead of doing further investigation, he was adamant on saying I had a bacterial infection and prescribed medication for that. I got a second opinion and found out I had a brain tumor.

I fully agree with Peter. Last year I visited him and he said that "it was all in my head". The disease has progressed a year and now I have diagnosed MS as a result of MRIs that another neurologist ordered for me because she listened.

Dr Richardson belongs in the category of "rushed" and "dismissive" as do so many MDs. Once he's there, he's already somewhere else. Not interested in the subtleties of diagnostics, and not a good listener at all. If you just need a hammer to drive the nail in front of you, he's probably okay. If you need someone to think carefully and critically about a unique situation, he is not the MD for you. Dr Richardson belongs in the category of "rushed" and "dismissive" as do so many MDs.
