Well the dr believes in only one kind of medicine five years ago and recently a week ago. That same medicine only works for some but nothing long term as if we are getting younger day by day and well we all have different lifestyles and body types but brian doesnt think so. So good luck!!! But unfortunately it was not for my families situation Well the dr believes in only one kind of medicine five years ago and recently a week ago. In the span of about 20 minutes he said the three things a trauma surviver fears hearing 1. He said everyone experiences my debilitating symptoms 2. He said my trauma wasn't as bad as it was and 3. He said I was acting like one of my abusers. All of this was because I was considering leaving because he(by his own admission) didn't have expierences with the main mental disorder I have. Before that, he always would always shut down what I was saying claiming I never was making sense and if he didn't know how to help me would repeatedly offer me meds when I said I didn't want to change my medication regime. Awful expierence overall.

Horrible experience for my wife to go through. Sitting in a conference room with 10 other students and nurses being ridiculed for being on opioid's for most of her adult life perscridbed by doctors for chronic pain. Zero realistic help offered for a 63 year old woman.

The people that leave him bad reviews were likely patients that were refused additional Opiate treatment! Dr Johnson is a Professional Addiction DR.

This was a great practice when I was going here! Dr. Johnson is a very smart man who knows what he’s doing, and his team is wonderful.

Dr Johnson is a brilliant man. He has a unique personality, for sure, but he knows his stuff! Sometimes, he asks questions that make you think. Sometimes, when I was not hearing him, he was more direct. In those instances, I did not want to take his recommended medications for depression /anxiety. Each time, I finally did (and used talk therapy), I felt better. I did not feel the awful side effects that I read about on the internet. He uses medications that, in reality, do not cause side effects. The only negative is that the students that sit in are ever changing and he is only there for part of the appointment.

My mother is a 71 year old woman who was put on a benzo 20 years ago. She was at the highest dose you could be on for that benzo. It stopped working for her and we didn’t know what to do. Her primary dr had been prescribing them for her and he didn’t know what to do. I found Dr. Johnson’s name on a benzo withdrawal group. He switched her from Ativan to Librium and she is slowly getting better. Her primary dr is amazed. He told us that he didn’t think she would make it through withdrawals. Dr Johnson plans on tapering her off the Librium eventually. This journey is far from over but we are VERY satisfied with Dr. Johnson so far. This "doctor" doesn't even use science. Look up some of his PowerPoint presentations concerning opioid induced hyper-algesia. I am not on any pain meds so save your judgements. Oh yeah! Don't forget to buy his book!! Doesn't even deserve one star. Such a condescending jerk.

He is a ridiculous man who is condescending to the point of hilarity. He is a cliche cartoon of a doctor. To be avoided at all costs.

He saved my life countless times and is benevolent. He has gotten me through hell and back and there for me 24-7 without fail. The other bad reviews are vicious lies and wild accusations from anger because Dr. Johnson will only prescribe healthy solutions, not the drugs addicts crave and seek. As an addict, I have seen people do this to both hospital docs and outpatient docs repeatedly. It gives addicts a terrible image and stigma. Quit before the drugs consume you. He will help you QUIT!

Dr Johnson was incredibly rude and condescending, I went to see him for help with an alcohol problem and he didn’t even talk to me but already diagnosed me with multiple personality disorder through a 15 question Survey which I don’t have I’ve been diagnosed by several other doctors, and he judged me for the medication my other doctor prescribed me for my severe adhd and laughed at my depression and anxiety, worst doctor ever Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Was sent here for pain management of a 5 tear rotator cuff. Was pretty much told the pain is in my head... 3 weeks later I had to have surgery because I couldn’t move my right arm (I happen to be a paraplegic as well). No compassion whatsoever Now has me marked with a suppressive disorder on my record! I wouldn’t recommend this Dr to diagnose anyone. A total waste of my time and money . Find someone credible

Traumatic experience felt like I was interrogated while naked in front of a dozen people I didn't know. Not recommended for mild depression patients.

Dr Johnson over medicated my son and sent him home to die. He was 41 and not in bad health. Even the pharmacist questioned his decisions.
