Closed or sold out? He was great, DEA liked him too! He had to sell and retire for 3yrs! He's been gone now for a few yrs. Pain relief center owns his number and took over his patients, which they are the worse for pain management, but if your not really bad, im sure ther 2 5mg of condine aday will help. Horrible Doctor he has an assembly line going doesn't asked you how you're doing doesn't check you cuts you off when you're trying to ask him a question has prescriptions already written whether they work or not spends a total of 2-3 minutes if that make your own conclusions

my problem is that I didnt have transportation for my appointments so I had to find someone closer now they have stopped my doctor from writing p.meds.so I call where your office use to be went to this other doc.gave me something I don't know what but he wont give me anymore I need an appointment e with you asap

My husband got a bunch of drugs without having to provide a history. He overdosed and died a few weeks later. This guy needs to be shut down!

Dr.james doesnt listen be cuts you off and I. The 2 yrs i went i had 1 session with epidural and so horrific your like a number its fast and terrible so after no success from that my price would go up every month without explanations that made any sense.....and he's the BIGGEST PERVERT EVER!!!!! I was very intimidated by this person he would make sexual comments to me about my perfume and what it dod to him. He would hug me b4 i would Leave the room i even took my daughter with me a few times to see if he would act this way In front of her and she witnessed him grabbing my body parts but this place was dirty the people were RUDE.....all woman working for him only 1 that was kind was rose.... I would go to fill scripts from him and spent several hours at times because they said he was under investigation. He didn't care about any patients unless they were putting out and i repeatedly told My husband how stressed i was going to him but he was the only pain mgt dr i could find to take my l.o.p.....so i felt stuck with him im no longer there thank God and i heard he was gone now. I don't know if this is true but i truly hope he is. I. The end of my visits his eyes were blood shot and he always was in a rush. I pray he's gone anyone who says good things about this man is getting what they want and its not help. Its drugs. I also had to buy a brace i was not supposed to be billed for and i never used it and they made Me pay for it.....all i can say is if your a pretty woman with big breast he will love you!!!! My experiences with Dr Brian Chivas James was a fair bit ago ago, but I'm still just as saddened by his unethical behavior now as I was then. As far as some doctors go, many have a poor bedside manner, which is par the course. Dr Brian Chivas James`s problem is that he's an abysmal human being. As an ex patient of his I bent over backwards and helped him when his business partner locked him out of their shared practice. Was deposed by his lawyers, and they seemed appreciative. Before this: I got dented & dinged up in the Army and spent 1.5 years in a military hospital where they refurbished me the best they could. ...my condition is obvious. One day Dr James associates sent me to a lab for a routine drug screening, that particular lab has a sordid history of fraud and nefarious activities. I knew this labs history, so I asked to be screened anywhere else, I could have gone to any VA clinic for the tests at no cost to me, . They said no. I go, tests come back that there are no drugs in my system, -that's comical and impossible- I ask if they could retest this using a hair follicle test or any test. They said no. Maybe this lab thought they were doing me a favor, but it was BS. I do fully know that many patients abuse and sell their medication. But I don't do so, and absolutely had rx meds in my system, that much is 100% certain.. I asked Dr James office many times over many weeks for 30 seconds of Dr James time(On the phone or in person), considering when he needed help, I was there to help him. In fact I went out of my way to do so) I asked for the same respect. That fell on deaf ears. It turns out apparently that his office was most likely purging patients depending on their insurance. I had Tricare military and Govt insurance. I could have easily just gone to the VA to get pain meds, but the type they carried left me in Lala land. I wanted pain meds that could bring me some normalcy, not make me high as a kite. At the end of the day, I found a anesthesiologist that greatly helped my needs via RF Neurotomy. I'll never be pain free, but one needs to deal with the hand their dealt and make the best of it. To the person that claims to have been a patient of his for 16 years, I'm sure you have really good insurance, that's Dr James favorite caste of patient. My best advice to anyone looking for a pain doctor is to avoid Brian Chivas James and his practice. There are many fine doctors offices that are compassionate and run by people with honor and a moral compass. Sadly, Dr. James`s moral compass broke long ago. While I don't wish him ill, if I was boating and found DR James on a deserted Island signaling for rescue, , I'd give him all the food and water I had and left him like he left me. He cares a lot more about his patents than his patients, that's a fact. I went to Dr . James after suffering herniated discs due to a car accident. I was prescribed 15mg oxycodone 180 per month. My pain was gone, and life was seemingly improved. The following month I was bumped up to 30mg 1 every 3 hours (240 per month) which was more than enough, but at this point I was extremely naive and just followed my doctors advice. I obviously became physically dependant on these pain meds after taking them for months and months. This was something I never pondered however becausr again, in my mind I'm under a doctor's care. Well, a couple of years go by of my faithfully paying the $120 per month, and never failing any urinalysis and without warning the good Dr. James comes into the examination room and says abruptly "Your back has healed itself, and I will be taking you off of your medication effective immediately." I was mortified at the prospect of no longer having this medication that my body had now become reliant on! I pleaded with James to at the very least step me down in order to ween me off of the high doses he'd gladly prescribed for 2 years. But, to no avail He said "Here's something for diarrhea, and if you have any issues go to theemergency room!" Anyone who's taken an opioid pill for extended periods of time knows there will be hell to pay if you go cold turkey. As the "Dr." obviously also knew. I'd done absolutely nothing to warrant him just dispatching me with no regard for my well being. As I said, my account was paid in full, and I'd never failed a urinalysis. I was finishing my masters at USF Bradenton and had never even gotten a speeding ticket! This guy took the hippocratic oath, yet had nary a care for my personal well being. Thankfully I was able to find another doctor who helped me to ween down off of the oxycodone. This doctor was appauled at James behaviour and said that it was deplorable to prescribe such a high dose of opioids for such a long time, then just kick the patient to the curb with their withdrawal. Worst dr ever in and out of room under investigation by DEA

I have been going to dr James for over 16 yrs now. He was the first dr I found that really cares about your pain. He is a pain management dr. And does what he can to get your pain under control. I am in no way a " big breasted female " like people have posted, and he treats me with respect and has great bedside manners. He has helped me when no one else would. It is the government that has made it hard to prescribe pain meds for people who really need it, and its all because of the drug users who come in and try to hit him up for pain meds when they don't even need it. Believe me, he knows who you are. And he wont tolerate it. And then people want to trash him. He's always been there for me. I think he's the best! I have been going to dr James for over 16 yrs now. I was seeing dr. james for almost 5 yrs. he has the worse bedside manner of any dr ive ever seen. he cut my meds back so suddenly that I got physically sick from withdrawl. and then he kicked me out of his office for speaking words that he told me. he only gave me 2 weeks worth of meds. when I called and told his office I was sick and told it was dangerous, he never called anything in for the sickness. hes arrogant, and never asks how your doing. just wants to shoot you up with shots and charge you for everything. I don't recommend him to anyone who is truly in pain. and im disabled and have more injurys since I first start seeing him. hes red flagged on filling meds in Sarasota. Horrible Experience! I have been in pain management over 7 years and Dr. James is the worst, most unprofessional Dr ive met. If you are a woman with big breasts you will receive excellent service, if not.. go elsewhere. I take reviews VERY serious and would not drop a 1 star unless necessary. Dr. James prescribed me medicine i am allergic to and told me to stop whining and take some over the counter stomach aid with it.. well 2 months later i just left the emergency room with a "worsened" stomach condition due to the meds Dr. James prescribed me.
