I've been a patient of Dr. Brodish for years. I used to get repeat sinus infections until he performed a sinus surgery years ago that changed all of that. He also helped treat a nasty post-surgical (from a separate brain surgery) staph infection that lingered for weeks and no one else could resolve and frankly dismissed. He was the only provider that actually performed the tests to show it was staph. I am currently seeking his skills once more for help with sleep apnea and ill tolerated CPAP use. Sure, you have to wait but he's worth it. And honestly, in a larger city show me a doctors office you don't have to wait at. He's busy but gives his attention to YOU when you're with him. He's highly knowledgeable and skilled and I trust him with all my ear, nose and throat needs. If you want someone that will hold your hand and talk to you as long as you want, call your mom. If you want a highly qualified ENT surgeon, call Dr. Brodish.

Daddy had throat surgery about a year ago for cancer! Had to break his jaw to get to it! Surgery lasted far longer than expected! Went from Greenville to Durham, and has been at Maryland nursing home for many months! Hasn't been home in over a year and is still on ventilator! In terrible pain, as cancer has returned! Very upset about all this! Update, my dad passed May 4th in Maryland, never came back home, and couldn't see him except outside a window and couldn't talk with him the Last year of his life! Only gave 1 star because I had to , appointment was at 11:15 sat waiting till 1:15 it took him 2 minutes to remove trakeia!

My dad went in with neck cancer (quarter sized) and was scheduled for surgery removing the lymph nodes in his neck...Their next appt. was 2 months out...The cancer continued to grow larger and larger over these 2 months (grapefruit sized) until it took over. My dad passed away. If this doctor knew the surgery was important and life threatening, why was it not made a priority for immediate surgery/treatment. It's very sad and inhumane. I felt a need to share this experience to hopefully persuade others to be their own or family advocate. God bless. Every appointment has been an hour to 2 hour wait to see the dr. (4th) The staff is not very friendly ever. Some even confrontational when "they" don't return your calls. Referred over from vidant after discharge. I'm honestly Not returning for any further follow up. The most unprofessional & unorganized Dr. Office I have ever been to.

Dr. Brodish literally saved my life. I had stage 4 throat cancer and had the maximum chemotherapy and radiation treatments. My cancer returned. Dr. Brodish performed a partial laryngectomy for me. Three days later, I coughed and burst a blood vessel. I was drowning in my own blood. Dr. Brodish came to the hospital during the night and performed emergency surgery. I am alive today and I can talk and swallow now. Dr. Brodish is very personable and continues to keep me informed about my throat. I have only praise for Dr. Brodish and his staff.

I saw Dr. Brodish first about 10 years ago and he was wonderful then and still wonderful now. Some doctors are worth the wait. His office is efficient and friendly and accommodate so many of his loyal patients. I just saw him again today and I am still impressed with his excellent knowledge and expertise.

If you value your or your loved ones health, never let them go to this man. My grandma was diagnosed with throat cancer three years ago, and later lung cancer. We were told prior to her surgery that she would be able to talk and would be able to live her life without complications. Any surgery or procedure my grandma has had done by this man has gone completely wrong. He obviously has no consideration for the health or well being of his patients. He has kept my grandmother on a feeding tube for MONTHS, she weighed a solid 130/140 before her procedures, and is now 65 LBS!!!! Frail, tiny, malnourished! He has disregarded her health and nutrition, to the point where she is too weak to receive the surgery she needs to FIX HIS MISTAKES!! Her new doctors in Raleigh cannot get over how many patients of his he has completely disregarded!!! If you value your or your loved ones health, never let them go to this man. I have had several unrelated surgeries under the care of Dr. Brodish. He has always made sure I understood before and after details and was caring & informative with follow up appts. His nurses are caring and understanding. Sometimes they're busy and running a little behind but I'd rather wait for a caring,skilled and popular doctor than have one with an empty waiting room. Dr. Brodish has always been a caring , skilled doctor to me. He's been my ENT for yrs now and Id recommend him anytime. His staff is caring and understanding. I'd recommend them any day.

Dr. Brodish did the surgery to remove a malignant tumor in my throat and lymph nodes that were malignant. He saved my life. He is very professional and very good at what he does. I will be forever grateful to him.

Dr. Brodish and his wife, Dr. Barbara Goheen performed surgery on my brother and a large tumor was removed with clear margins left. I am amazed at the surgery performed and can not thanks these two surgeons enough. It is a miracle and I feel like they were God's hands for a day. I thank them for my brother's life and his well being. I am so pleased with my brother's condition and his outlook for the future. It is a miracle. Thank you for your wonderful work

Worst medical experience of my life with Dr. Brodish. I went in to ask why I was snoring, and Dr. Brodish said I had an infected sinus and a deviated septum. He recommended that I have sinus surgery and straighten my septum. He didn't tell me what is involved in this surgery, the healing process, benefits or potential risks for the surgery, the cost... literally no info except that he would recommend it. He didn't even ask if I had any questions, and I had to stop him halfway out the door in order to say I had questions about the surgery. He seemed frustrated and gave me short answers. He did not seem to care at all about me as a patient or the fact that I was clueless as to what happens in this surgery. He didn't acknowledge the end of the appointment and just walked out of the door. I asked his office manager what the cost would be, and she said I'd have to call my insurance. I asked for a ball-park estimate and she wouldn't give me one. Called my insurance and they said that without the proper codes they couldn't give me an estimate. Went back to the office manager, and she said they wouldn't know till the day of what the codes would be for the surgery, and that we wouldn't know the cost till they began the surgery. She had me sign an informed consent, and I told her that I couldn't consciously sign this when it stated that Dr. Brodish had "covered all benefits and possible risks", "post-operation healing process", "cost of the surgery", etc. etc. She responded and said that he would most likely cover all of this the day of the surgery. Even on the day of the surgery, Dr. Brodish didn't give me any of that info. The surgery center didn't have an approximate cost of the surgery. The surgery lasted ~30 minutes, and a week later I get a bill for FORTY THOUSAND dollars. Flabbergasted, I talked to the financial services center, and they were shocked that Dr. Brodish had not warned me about the cost. And this was ONLY the charges Vident billed me for the surgery center- didn't even cover Dr. Brodish's charges or the anesthesiology charges. I went for a follow-up appointment a week later for a 10 o'clock appointment, and waited from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. before finally asking what was taking so long. They said they still had 2 patients in front of me, so I simply left out of frustration. DO NOT SEE DR. BRODISH IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT HAVING A GOOD PATIENT EXPERIENCE! He will make you feel like he is inconvenienced by your concerns, and will simply operate on you and want to get you out. After surgery I developed a terrible nose bleed and he did not want to deal with it. Also refused to go to ER to see me. When my HP went sky high in his office he refused to assist me and my wife had to threaten him before he would call the rescue squad.
