Dr Aalbers is a gifted and compassionate Neurologist. He is very thorough and has gone above and beyond to assist our family in treating complex medical issues. His staff is very kind and patient.

We can’t sing the praises of Dr. Aalbers enough! He’s an amazing advocate for kids in Kansas City! He’s thorough, thoughtful and transparent. We are thrilled to be able to benefit from his excellence and expertise!

We found Dr. Aalbers after finding out that my son has a rare genetic condition that is extremely complicated. My son is followed by every specialist possible, so it is with extensive knowledge of many providers that I can say that Dr. Aalbers is an excellent one. We just started with him a month ago, and I have had seek his guidance several times since. He makes me feel heard, is very intelligent and willing to break things down with me, and is clearly compassionate. I am so relieved we found him.

He really listened and fought with us to find answers. Many other doctors had just written him off as having poor sleep hygiene. Dr. Aalbers looked at his past history and knew there could be something more there. Well there was and now we are taking care of it with medication. I feel better about my son's opportunity to navigate life better know that we know he truly has a sleep disorder. He's very kind with my son and respectful of him as well. He will answer questions until you are satisfied. Highly recommend.

Dr. Aalbers is a great provider. He answered all our questions and went above and beyond to provide our family with Exceptional care, from the consult to the diagnosis.

Dr. Aalbers seems to know what he is talking about. I trust that he understands my daughter's condition but he doesn't document well. He make mistakes with his documentation. I have seen numerous documentation errors in my patient portal. That's scary that he doesn't document within a day or two. He takes ten or more days then doesn't document correctly. He charted that my daughter had an abnormal EEG and she didn't. He hasn't charted her most current diagnosis. He doesn't mention anything about what we spoke about during our office visit. It's very frustrating trying to coordinate care for my child with other doctors when he tells me one thing but documents something else. It's neglect. Therefore even though I think he is an intelligent doctor, I can't trust him to care for my child because he can't remember and or document correctly about her condition.

I could not recommend another doctor more highly than I do Dr. Albers. Throughout my very complicated injury he was never anything less than upstanding, kind, and patient. He goes above and beyond to make sure the patient is well taken care of and feels comfortable. He is an outstanding neurologist and if you're considering choosing him, please do. Dr Aalbers is amazing. He's the best thing that came out of overland park regional. I don't have 1 complaint about him or this office

My son sees Dr. Aalbers, he is absolutely amazing with him and makes sure to explain everything to me so I can understand what’s going on. We love him and appreciate his hard work.

Extremely intelligent and opted to devote his specialty to the tiniest patients. As a parent of one, dealing with such stressful and uncertain issues, Dr. Aalbers was compassionate and provided explanation and assistance is developing a goal oriented plan. Highly recommend. I got to the office they took me to a room. Ab 15 latter a office person came in to the room and said dr Aalbers. Look at my history and said I was too complicated and did not want to deal with me. He did not even have the decency to come tell me himself. This was my second trip to that office in one day being promised I was going to see him. The could have called and told me so I did not have to make a second 25 min drive wasting gas to get there. I am still awaiting on an apology from him but wait Doctors can do no wrong nothing is there fault. So I am not expecting an apology bc he even had his office person tell me. Time to man up DrAalbers And take Responsibly and admit when you’re wrong and Be a good human and apologize.

I couldn’t ask for a better neurologist than Dr. Brian Albers. It’s very scary being diagnosed with having a brain AVM. I feel very well taken care of by Dr. Albers, he listens, answers questions and I never feel rushed. He is a compassionate well knowledged doctor.

I had a visit with Dr. Aalbers this regarding migraines with aura and the associated stroke risk in pregnancy. He was extremely thorough and spent time with me answering all of my questions. He was very knowledgeable about options to reduce my stroke risk in pregnancy. I was impressed! Highly recommend.

Dr. Aalbers has been my son's neurologist for 4 years now. He is a movement specialist and has helped to address issues that my son has with dystonia. He has an excellent bed side manner, but is honest. He spends plenty of time answering our questions. He has made a hugely positive impact on my son, and we feel so blessed to have found him.

Dr. Aalbers was incredible. He was able to quickly identify our daughter's condition, but didn't stop with just a diagnosis. He spent time discussing treatment options and explained things about the condition that we had never realized were connected. It was obvious that he is extremely well versed in identifying and treating neurological conditions. My daughter was moved to tears knowing that she finally found someone who understood and recognized what she has been going through. I can't recommend him enough. He is a rare find in today’s medical industry.

Dr. Albers is up to date on all of the relevant treatments for teenagers with chronic migranes.

Dr. Albers is a wonderful pediatric neurologist. He is thorough, noticing everything and follows up. He has a great memory, really shows care for each patient and family.

He is very knowledgeable with my sons condition and if there is something that he did not know the answer to, I know that he would take the time to find out! We travel several hours from Nebraska just to see him! So worth it!

Dr. Aalbers staff were professional, kind, and helpful. Dr. Aalbers nurse let me know he was running about 15 minutes late. She wanted to make sure that was OK with our schedule. Dr. Albers receptionists were adamant that our daughter get in for testing before the school year started. They helped accelerate the process, and get her in. Dr. Albers had a great bedside manner and took the time we needed to answer any and all questions.

Dr Aalbers helped save our daughter's life. He could see she was failing her first epilepsy med and he knew the statistics that she would fail the next and the next. We only saw him once, but it was because he cared enough to recommend she be seen by an epileptologist and be considered for epilepsy surgery. She had her surgery 18 months ago and has been seizure-free ever since. I will always be very thankful for Dr Aalbers knowledge and expertise.

Dr. Aalbers is one of our Angels here on earth. He has been the only Dr. out of many we have seen that really listens to parents' concerns and takes them seriously, discusses family history in detail, and looks at the whole picture. He is the only Dr. who really looked at my child's movement and saw the problems I had reported and added some to our list. He was willing to test for rare conditions that could be an underlying cause, found that condition, and eliminated it with correct meds.

I am awaiting test results for my 7 y o but am already thankful for Dr. Aalbers. He said something about a possibility of a disorder that was rare; he suggested we could wait and watch awhile. He was patient to discuss this disorder and, with a little exploration of my family history, it became evident that there was more than enough reason to go ahead and test my son. I am hoping for answers and it's possible that my older son was misdiagnosed 20 years ago and both will benefit from the results

Love, Love, Love Dr. Aalbers. He did more for our son in the first visit than all of the other doctors had before. Dr. Aalbers is our favorite doctor and we have no problem driving from Sand Springs, OK to see him.

I have been searching for seven years to find someone to help my daughter. The instant Dr. Aalbers talked to my daughter and asked a few questions, he was very confident he knew what was going on. He explained everything in detail so we understood what needed to be done. I'm so blessed to have cross paths with him. Well recommend him to everyone!
