Was willing to try blood patches but honestly just does not know enough about CSF leaks to provide adequate leak care. It made a huge difference talking to an expert who instantly noted where each hole was in my dura just based on feeling (e.g. a still-present patch puncture from another Emory dr) as it is known that spinal leakers can feel their leak location (feels the same as a blood patch with epidural pressure at the site when CSF comes out and a "tugging" feeling). I don't know what doctors learn in medical school but it seems that even the well-intentioned ones operate with some level of misogyny. I was reminded of this when I read Dr. Weinberg's notes circling back to the idea that my symptoms of my brain bouncing inside my skull could just be a sensation somehow r/t dysautonomia. There is this constant barrier to care where male radiologists believe that if they can't see something, the female pt must be misunderstanding what she is feeling.
