Dr. Cox recently saved my dad’s life. My dad was released from the hospital prior to receiving a diagnosis and relapsed three days later. Dr. Cox followed my dad’s entire hospital stay online and advised us to keep returning him to the hospital until they figured out what was wrong. My dad was ultimately diagnosed with an adrenal insufficiency which is life threatening if not treated. Dr. Cox is extremely professional and caring and the entire family highly recommends him. Dr. Cox is an excellent, caring and wonderful doctor. However, Centra Medical Group as a whole is a nightmare. You get all the attention and care you need during your visit, but trying to communicate with your doctor after the fact is a nightmare and absolutely impossible. They are not there when you really need them or your doctor. Calls not returned; passed around to others who promise a call back, which doesn’t come and in the end, refer to to Urgent Care. This is NOT why I have a personal doctor. Love Dr. Cox. Highly unhappy with Centra as a whole.

Arrived for new patient appt that I waited 6 months for, was told it had been cancelled...no who, why , nothing. 6 more months for new appt. he may be a good Dr but his office needs work!

Dr. Cox has been an outstanding resource since we switched over from another primary care practitioner who unfortunately did not meet expectations. Dr. Cox takes the time to listen to concerns and then more importantly thinks on what he hears. I have presented to him with a series of unusual issues/diagnosis along with my spouse who also is an eagle eyed and attentive physician herself, and Dr. Cox has helped us navigate these issues and has exceeded both our expectations. So much of this level of medicine has become mechanized/routinized into filling in questionaires and checking boxes rather than actually *hearing* patients out. It is a breath of fresh air and the sort of qualities that would serve Centra well to not only retain but foster. Dr. Cox is an asset and highly recommended. Easily the most time I have had spent discussing health issues with a Primary Care/Family Medicine Doctor in my life. I Presented as a fairly difficult patient with a variety of unusual past medical issues as well as a spouse who also is an MD with Centra, and we both were very satisfied with the whole appointment and medical plan. She intends to switch to Dr. Cox as her provider as well. Would reccomend!

Dr. COX IS AMAZING. He is so informative helps you understand what's going on with your ailments. Excellent doctor. My son in law loves him. Best Dr. He has been to.

Dr. Cox is warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He first asks several questions and really listens to you explain your health concerns. He then takes the time to fully explain whats going on with your body to help you understand the diagnosis and recommended treatment.

Dr. Cox has been taking care of my husband for years. He is very qualified and thorough with him. I would recommend him to anyone.

I have never had a doctor take so much time asking questions and thoroughly examining every major system in my body during a check up 12/29/16. I did not ever feel as if he were rushing the exam and no question was left unanswered! He explained things to me about statin drugs like I have never heard! I hope he will be in this office for a very long time!
