Inexcusably, Dr. Shah neglected to tell us our daughter's platelets were low 18 months ago. Our daughter now has a serious and worse problem with low platelets that has progressed over that time unchecked. When we reached out to ask Dr. Shah for previous records, we saw that the levels were low 18 months ago. She never caught it or told us. In a call about this matter, she was 100% focused on justifying her inattention (well, the child had no other symptoms, so it was no big deal) and expressed no concern for our daughter's current very serious condition. As our daughter's endocrinologist, we depending on Dr. Shah to be a reliable source of health care for our child. She let us down utterly, and then focused on absolving herself rather than helping. Her inattention to an abnormal test, and subsequent focus on self-justification rather than on care for our daughter's current serious situation, leave me hoping you will find a more caring and attentive doctor for your child.
