Dr. Bhanu K Sunku

Dr. Sunku's office told me he would not see my daughter because she is behind on her immunizations. She is 2 and has had 16 vaccines, she was born premature and has a neurological condition. We had to scramble to find another gastro while my daughter was screaming in pain everyday. So much for the Hippocratic Oath of do no harm.

Would NOT recommend. After years of being my son's pediatric gastro, Dr. Sunku sent an informal, impersonal, unexpected letter dropping him just because he couldn't make an appointment since he was away at college. The office said a December appointment would be fine; yet, a letter arrived days later stating that Dr. Sunku would no longer care for my son, effective immediately. Unprofessional, lacks compassion and honesty, medically undermining, and spineless. Doctoring children requires communication, concern and understanding, kindness and being forthright...qualities clearly missing in Dr. Sunku.

Dr. Sunku had an impressive knowledge of both the traditional as well as holistic approach in terms of treatment possibilities and outcomes for some pretty complicated diagnoses. He is patient, humble, and generous with his time Grateful to CareMount for carefully hiring such distinct professionals in the medical field.

Dr. Sunku is wonderful - patient, doesn't rush, takes the least invasive approach he can safely take and moves forward from there. I wish he saw adults too!! I think the negative review might be for the wrong doctor based on the location of the reviewer - the experience is totally opposite of mine and others I know who have used him. The front desk at this practice can be difficult and appointments can take time to get, but I don't blame Dr. Sunku for that...once he is with you, he is wonderf

Does not return phone calls, did not give orders or rx for recommended blood work. Took 3 months to get an order for blood work. Was confused about why he received radiology reports that he asked for. Refused to speak to me on call regarding messages from his office when he asked them to,call me. Left messages with questions, no response. His nurse informed me she asked him questions but he did not answer. Asked for rx 3 times, went to pharmacy, not there. Called office, not called in.

Very knowledgeable physician, with excellent bedside manner. You can tell that he really cares about his patients. He sat me down and listened to everything I had to say without feeling rushed. I would highly recommend him.
