Likelihood to recommend 5 In my almost 70 years I have experienced a large number psychiatrists . Some were OK, some not so great, many of them we’re good. I can honestly say without a doubt Dr. Beverly Chang is the very best I’ve ever been a patient of. She is compassionate, caring and she really listens. She treat you with respect and never talks down to you. Dr Chang is so very knowledgeable and stays up to date with the latest information in the field. She honestly makes you makes you feel like you are her only patient. She is very easy to reach and responds to communications right away. I highly recommend her. A++ Read Less

Dr Beverly Chang was my doc for a year. I have moved to New York, and I still miss her! She is welcoming and friendly creating an atmosphere of safety. Dr Chang is through, kind and has excellent knowledge of neurology. It’s a pleasure to recommend her.

I found Dr Chang at an Alzheimer’s/Dementia conference. What a huge blessing for my dad and our whole family. My dad has vascular dementia and has been declining for many years. His anger issues and delusions had been endured for years by my mom. When I attended Dr Chang’s class I was so impressed by her knowledge of different medications but was also was very conservative in her treatment ideas. We found Dr. Chang when my mother was moving into her first assisted living facility. She has been an absolute gift for my mom and our family and has helped us immensely through a couple sketchy transitions. She bent over backwards for us, helping us when we needed it most and at a time when my mother's own general physicians were failing us. She stood in when they failed to renew my mom's prescriptions and supported my mother in her journey to move to a facility where she would be safe and happy. With her guidance and testing we were able to navigate the long term care reimbursement process that we desperately needed even though her physicians "didn't have the time" to fax over the correct paperwork. Without her help, getting my mother into a safe place could have been delayed causing undue stress on her and the rest of us and putting her at risk of harming herself. Dr. Chang is sincere about helping her patients and is very personable...at least that was my experience on the several occasions I went to see her. I will continue to see her when necessary! I also have seen the therapist who does not write prescriptions for medication but who is also excellent. Office staff is friendly as well!!

Beverly Chang is a very rude Dr! As a patient, she didn't even bother to smile, nor act the least bit friendly. Unacceptable! Didn't want to hear my concerns regarding how I felt at all. She only wanted to prescribe medicine which I was opposed to. Came in to taper off my current medicine and wanted advice for that. Was having way too many side effects. No advice was given for tapering, was snapped at for simply describing my heart complications as a result of prescribed medicine. Advice: You don't get to prescribe MORE medicine that isn't wanted without listening to a clients complications first. Otherwise the patient is at risk for hospitalizations. Or refuse to assist in tapering process when patient is clearly not able to tolerate current medicine, plus any other medicine. Needless to say I stopped going to see her. What a joke. Dr. Chang is in the running for kindest person in the world. Always smiling, always helpful. She is not just a tape recorder listening to your conversation -- like many counselors. She takes a sincere personal interest in helping you. For me, she did not just encourage me to seek social engagement -- which we both agreed I need, she actually arranged for the membership chairman of a social group to contact me and invite me to a meeting. -- with my consent, of course. Over my many years of life I have had contact with several counselors and psychiatrists. She rates far and away higher than anyone I have experienced. Most psychiatrists these days do not counsel. Dr Chang is a lovely intelligent woman, easy to relate to and compassionate, I also like her particular business model
