I got a referral to start coming here and I called in April around closing time and the lady that picked up was unprofessional, the background was loud & you can tell people were about to go home. She took my info and said someone will call you back shortly and no one ever did. I called again on 6/9 and a nicer lady took my information and said she’ll have to call me back and I didn’t get a call towards the end of day so I called them back again and they just took my info and said they’ll call me. I called them yesterday and a man picked up and I let him know my situation and I guess they have people pick up the phone, get people’s info and relay to the office manager but that the manager hasn’t been taking calls lately? Even though I called TWICE 2 weeks ago. I called my insurance to let them know this place has failed to call me back 3 times to make an appointment, there’s no other way for me to make an appt, and switched my referral elsewhere. Someone just called me today for an appointment finally but I’d rather not come if it’s taken this long, you guys dropped the ball. Can’t believe how unprofessional and annoying this ordeal was. I went today to take my psychological exam for the police academy which was on paper it took me about three hours to finish. You have to be there a little bit earlier than your appointment so that you can find a parking spot and inside the building it was kind of hot. Also you might want to leave your phone in your vehicle because they have you turn off your phone completely when starting your exams. It was about three different exam's one of them is a true or false exam and the other two exams is like a college entrance exam. They're not too long but other than that the people we're nice. I first knew Dr. Schrader back in the 70s 1977 or so and my grandparents took my brothers and myself in that situation to resist them selves and needed help with the huge generation gap between retired colonel his wife and three crazy boys that are pretty much been on their own for a long time. Dr. Schrader was awesome she was able to communicate with my grandfather retired colonel that everything was people might not agree with her methods that’s up their own personal decision this lady was great for me and my brothers and I’m telling you this is a 56-year-old man remembering back as a 13 year-old boy take it for what it’s worth the truth

Dr. Schroeder has been seeing my mother since she was 14! Very diligent and wonderful person through the years helping my family and I how ever way she can.

Dr Schroeder was very attentive and listened to me. Dr Schroeder and her staff are very caring and friendly. I’ve had many different experiences with counseling and I wouldn’t change from Dr Schroeder for anything. Excellent Doctor.

Worst experience ever! "Betty" should be "requesting therapy " for herself! Place smelled as hell!, dirty and ugly! Very unprofessional!!!

I didnt think i would be told you are there do to a "lack of God in your family life". As a "medical professional" and one of her advanced years you should know not to mix YOUR religion with your profession

For any EP/PPO folks needing an MMPI test for licensing, please visit Dr. Schroeder. A previous agency sent me here in 2013 for pre-employment testing. Working private sector these days, I have my choice of doctors to see for testing. I phoned numerous folks in Austin, New Braunfels and San Antonio but was not eager to schedule the exam for several reasons. I was thrilled to be able to get in to test with Dr. Schroeder. Her staff is comprised of extremely professional and genuinely nice people. Carol was very helpful when scheduling the visit and explained instructions clearly when it came time for the test. Dr. Schroeder is a true professional. I arrived early and she was so kind enough to allow me to start ahead of my appointment time and even started the process herself. The process took very little time from start to finish. I highly recommend Dr. Schroeder for all of my fellow EP/PPO folks. I was a patient with the Dr. years ago. It was easy for her to get mad at me if I didn't do what she wanted, even if what she wanted was wrong for me. I have had many years to contemplate her behavior and many years of counseling with other doctors and I now understand just how bad was her behavior and suggested "treatment" of me. I'm so glad I ran the other way after just a few sessions with her and with her yelling at me because I wouldn't do a group therapy visit to her personal property. There are so many competent, pleasant doctors out there, pick one of them and let Ms. Schroeder finally learn that she never was a good doctor and certainly at her advanced years, hasn't gotten better. Her Christian BS and berating of patients really needs to be investigated and she needs to retire.

Office staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Betty is one of the most attentive Dr.’s in San Antonio. She was highly recommended by a family friend and is the best in her class. I have seen other Dr’s in the area and none compare to the level of care and help I receive from her. I plan to stay with her for a good while.

I think doc Betty Schroeder is a wonderful Dr. She is help me and so many ways I can't even mention how many ways. She still helping me every week. I have gotten stronger, more confident, and now I can stand up to my family after years of abuse! She is kind she worries about me and this makes me feel wonderful!! She is willing to write my doctor's on my behalf. I've never had anybody wanting to stand up for me like she has meaning a doctor! Well I did have one other but he is retired now and he was wonderful. Dr. Betty Schroeder for work me in any time I need to talk to her or have a problem. If I feel like I'm about to break down she will take the time to listen to me or talk to me. To help me through the situation I'm going through at the time! She is just so wonderful !!! I have been to other psychologist and psychiatrist and they never compared to her! So if you need somebody to talk to I recommend dr. Betty Schroeder with very highly mark! Staff is really nice and Mrs. Schreder was nice and listened attentively. This was my first session and I'm looking forward to more sessions with her.

Most unprofessional bunch of yahoos I’ve ever seen. Absolutely terrible experience. I feel dumber having been subjected to these people’s nonsense. You ever just a print a psych degree off, consume 20,000 calories a day for 60 years, never read a book, and just set up shop? That’s this place. The secretary is just a straight up prehistoric mongaloid, place looks like the set of the Brady bunch, and “Betty Lou” is about as good at being a psych as someone named Betty Lou can be. I have not been in to see the Dr. yet but when I called to schedule an appointment the receptionist was very rude. She has no business answering phones or dealing with the public at all.

We never got to a point that helped me at all. Every appointment was rehashing what was discussed previously and she never remembers what we were discussing. Her secretary is extremely rude and unprofessional. She does not give messages or return calls.
