Bernardo Mendoza

Dr. Mendoza is a friendly person - if you happen to meet him. He and his staff at Pima Heart & Vascular were over an hour late or completely missed the appointments. I prefer a reliable partner and will change to another health provider.

I would highly recommend Dr L Mendoza. Answered all my questions did excellent surgery and follow up care. He is very friendly and through. There was a wait beyond my appointment time. Scheduling could be improved. Would give 5 stars.

If we can rate a negative star, that is what our score would be for Dr. Mendoza and his staff at Pima Heart & Vascular. We waited for over an hour in the examination room and the staff were not sensitive to this extended delay. They should space their appointments better.

My husband saw Dr. Mendoza yesterday. The visit was extremely organized. We had an 0800 appointment, before Dr. Mendoza saw my husband they had done an ultrasound to give the Dr. an idea of what he was looking at. We had all of our questions answered. We were out of the office by 0845.

I felt I had a good visit and feel very comfortable with Dr Mendoza I’m going to follow up

Very knowledgeable doctor who explained his diagnosis clearly and offered a good treatment plan.

Dad goes into hospital for diabetic foot infection. Tests are run to see how far infection is, Dr. Mendoza finally shows up and wants to run same tests. He hadnt even seen my dads file. We tell him and says he has to wait for radiologist to give him findings although we saw him look at them on the computer. Next day dad goes into surgery to amputate half his toe...and we NEVER see or hear from Mendoza again. Nurses cant do anything to wound until Dr. Mendoza gives the order. Two days later he sends other surgeon who says they will tell Mendoza what they saw. Another two days later same surgeon comes back and says doesn't like what he sees, may need to amputate more. Three days later my dad has the rest of his toe amputates by a third surgeon! NEVER saw or heard from Mendoza at all. Apparently he was too busy for his patient, maybe had he taken the time to see and clean the wound we could have avoided a second amputation.
