Dr. Vaz has guided me through treatment for Giant Cell Arteritis for the past five years. I cannot imagine a better communicator. His staff is top notch. I'm thrilled to be under his care and getting close to being off of the prednisone. Thank you Dr. Vaz.

This man saved my life. I have a very rare disease and while investigating what could be wrong with me. We tried a few things and they did not work so he recommended that I get a test done and to be safe he made sure that they tested for 15 different things with the one sample. Dr. Vaz is a kind, caring and professional rheumatologist. He has always quickly responded to any of my urgent questions or rheumatologic issues.

Dr. Vaz has kept my rheumatoid arthritis under control now for seven years, always attentive to my questions and pain descriptions and always making my options clear. I cannot imagine a more cordial and competent specialist.

Called over two weeks ago to get a appointment and haven’t heard from them. Faxed the paperwork to them and no one has called back. What does it take to get an appointment with these people???? Really annoying!!

Dr. Vaz is compassionate and listens to his patients. The office staff however is completely unresponsive. Unfortunate, since I will be seeking a new provider.

Dr. Vaz is a compassionate and caring doctor. Unfortunately his office staff is TERRIBLE. They are unresponsive to patient questions and never return calls.

Dr. Vaz is a highly skilled and experienced rheumatologist. He is also kind, compassionate and has a great bedside manner. I am glad I found him to be my doctor when I moved from the midwest seven years ago.

I have been very happy seeing Dr. Vaz at Catalina Pointe Arthritis. He is a caring rheumatologist and his office is very professional. We make shared decisions regarding my care and my arthritis has greatly improved. I like being able to access my laboratory results through the office portal.

Dr. Vaz is a kind, compassionate and knowledgeable physician. He listens to what I have to say during my office visits. He takes my disease seriously and works with me to provide the best possible care. He is always on time in the office and I usually have an answer to my telephone call messages within 1-2 hours the same day.

Dr. Vas is very professional, thorough, and attentive when questioning me about my history and current symptoms. He does a complete physical exam relative to my arthritis and listens to my heart and lungs each visit. He has been my advocate in getting appointments with other specialists as needed. He is responsive when I call with problems and always gets back to me the same day I call. The staff is friendly and helpful in getting my messages to him.

This is not specifically about Dr Vaz, but about the clinic. Very frustrating place! They do NOT call you back when you leave a message for an appointment. This has happened numerous times! They also do not call you with test results. Their voicemail tells you not to leave more than one message, but if they don't call back within 5-6 WEEKS what are you to do? I do not recommend this clinic if your looking for a personalized experience.

Dr Vaz does not seem to read your history (shows allergies) nor questionnairs showing pain levels. When coming in with a pain level of 10 and a fever they took a urine culture. After three days staff called me told me I had a U T Infection and Dr stated I would have to contact my Prim Doctor to get an antibiotic. I questioned why it took 3 days for me to be informed of the infection & I had to take care of it when I could not get out of bed. Dr finally relented and called in scrip
