Dr. Broadsward is not only a great Endo, but he's an awesome dude. Very caring and very thorough. I appreciate him and he's put me back on the road to great dental health.

My first root canal was painless! Dr. Nielsen is the most professional dentist I’ve seen. He explained every part of the process and made sure he answered all my questions. I didn’t even feel the injections. Just one but, barely. I had a difficult root and he showed me everything on the X-ray. I went home and was able to eat a sandwich normally. Our dentist referred us to this office because my husband needed a root canal. They took his information, said they would get back to him soon. I’m not sure what soon means to them but it’s certainly not what we expected. Four days later, they had not gotten back with him. When my husband, who was feeling very uncomfortable by this time, called this office back, they said that they had not received information from the dentist which was untrue. At this point, they said the soonest they could get him in was in two weeks. The man was in pain and his face was swollen. We found an endodontist who is highly rated and got him in the next day. Thank goodness he got relief. This office has no sense of urgency and seems very inefficient. Our dentist and they said they’ve been having trouble with this office getting back to patients and getting them in in a timely manner. I would avoid them if you have any sort of an urgent need. Dr Nielsen, the assistants and staff are simply amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and kind. No one gets excited about having a dental surgery, but they made it go so smooth and the recovery was extremely quick. Didn't cost an arm and a leg either, which is extremely helpful.

This is an update to a previous review. Short story, they are excellent dentists and the assistants are great. Had to go twice to have a root canal redone after referral to Endodontics from my regular dentist, who did a root canal that didn't work. The only reason this is a 4 star instead of a 5 star review was due to some miscommunication regarding my insurance. The office worked with me to reduce my out of pocket costs. The dentists are very skilled. Dr. Broadsword spent as much time as I needed (a lot) explaining the procedure and guiding me through the X-ray images. He is an instructor at a dental school, which shows. I wish I had gone here first for my root canal instead of allowing my own dentist to perform it. There was an additional connection that wasn't caught the first time and became infected. Endontics has microscopes and surgical experience that was beyond the abilities of my dentist. I'm writing this on behalf of my wife. She had a new crown put on by her dentist about 2 weeks ago. After a week her tooth was on fire, no one could figure it out and she was in so much pain. She went to see Endodontic Associates and they got her in the very same day, a matter of hours after her call to them in TEARS. The doctor spent a lot of time w/ her trying to figure out the cause of her pain, this was her 3rd doctor in a week and no one could tell us exactly what the problem was. After over a hour of examining and running a series of tests the doctor said he did not think she needed a root canal, (which was hard to believe) he just didn't see anything that would clinically justify it except for her pain level. He did do a minor adjustment that he thought might help. She was in so much pain though that they offered to do a root canal if she just couldn't handle it but he felt the tooth would/could calm down if she could wait it out a little longer. We were really reluctant to not do a root canal in fear of being stuck over the holidays so to help ease her worries they actually scheduled a root canal appt for her 2 days later so she had a couple days to see if the tooth got better and..... it did. Just having him actually make her a second appt if she needed it was going above and beyond and we were very grateful at his level of care for her and her pain. A couple days has passed and we now move into the day before Christmas Eve confident that his diagnosis was accurate and over time the tooth will get better and if for some reason it doesn't, then we know who to call. It would have been very easy for them to just insist on a root canal to the tune of 1300.00 but instead we got 121.00 exam fee, a minor adjustment and lots of good care and compassion and options moving forward. I just have to give a good review after the pleasant experience I had after an unfortunate circumstance. Dr. Nielsen expertly removed a broken file in my tooth from another root canal attempt that went a bit awry. It took some time, but he got it out and finished up my root canal without any issues. He took an otherwise stressful situation and turned it into a pleasant one. I highly recommend going here if you need work done. Him and everyone in the office are very nice and communicative. I never once felt uncomfortable at the office and I've had both of my root canals done here. I had a last minute/emergency root canal that was done by Dr. Nielson and was filled with anxiety leading up to the appointment. I can confidently say that Dr. Nielson made me SO at ease and comfortable before, during and after the procedure. I am no longer in pain and felt so well taken care of by him and his team. Very polite good staff took very good care of me when I had a tooth removed

I recently had a root canal at Dr. Nielsen's office, and the experience was superior to any dental visit I've had in my entire life. From start to finish, Dr. Nielsen explained the details of what he was doing, making sure to take the time to ensure that the anesthetic was in place and that there was no pain. The procedure went smoothly, and though he said to expect pain for a few days, my mouth was back to normal the very next day. The office called for a follow-up to see how I was doing. The doctor's friendly, genuine attitude and his care for his patient really showed. Very happy with the experience and I will absolutely come back again if I need another root canal(but I hope I don't!) Excellent experience. Was referred to check on a root canal at risk of having to be replaced and diagnostic was that doing that was overkill. Shows Dr Nielsen is a responsible professional and not commercially driven. He and his staff are also a real pleasure.

The experience here has been amazing! I came in and the desk person was very nice and welcoming. When it was time for the root canal, Dr. Broadsword and Cindy took X-rays, walked me through what was wrong and told me about the procedure. We were able to crack jokes and share funny experiences. Dr. Nielsen and his team are wonderful and professional on every level! He and his team are amazing and I am so grateful for the perfect care and treatment they provided. From Deanna who was so caring and able to schedule a "same-day" morning of urgent appointment, to the great endodontic assistant and billing personnel everything and everyone at this clinic is terrific. Dr. Nielsen is an exceptional clinician and completed an emergency root canal for me that was done perfectly with expertise and care while explaining each aspect of the treatment. He is a excellent endodontist who was able to turn a traumatic and painful infection into a restored and healthy tooth! I am so grateful and relieved to be pain free and look forward to the restored health of my tooth. Thank you so very much!

Do not recommend for people who have high anxiety about dental work. This Endodontist compared me to his 6 year old when I was experiencing anxiety during a root canal.

Highly recommend this practice for your dental service. Extremely caring, attentive, and wonderful care. He fixed an issue I had from a previous dentist and I could not be more pleased. Wonderful, kind staff that make you feel comfortable and welcome. This office took my fears of a root canal completely away!

Dr. Nielsen is extremely professional and very thorough in his assessment of my tooth. He was very conservative, however wanted to be crystal clear of what the problem was before deciding on my root canal. His staff is AMAZING! Dr Madden is good what he does, quick and effective. However very shady business practices ran at his office. Went in for a root canal 1,100 dollar with a 300 co pay. Before I leave I pay my balance and the was told I'm good there will no further actions required and to have a nice day. Turns out they miss led me acting like they where in my BCBS network when they where really in moda... so long story short I got a bill and they're trying to send me to collections now because all they care about is money and will lie to your face about. (If your office isn't in my network tell meeeee!) I needed an emergency procedure but wish I would have waited to go somewhere else. I get it, my money spends the same as insurance but jeez the total lack of ethics to get there is very concerning. Dr. Nielsen was so wonderful and excellent in his profession. I have a great deal of fear and he really had patience with me.He took extra time to make sure I was comfortable and calm. The entire staff are very friendly and welcoming.

I've got tricky teeth. Loooong, curved roots, not for the novice dentists out there! But let me tell you, Dr Madden made short work of my tricky teeth, and I only left half-smiling because the left side of my face was completely numb! They happily worked with me on an odd billing request, and both Dr Madden and everyone else involved were excellent communicators and down-right nice people. Plus, I now have a few spare "Be nice to me, I just had a root canal!" stickers for when I need to curry a little extra favor around the office! Just kidding. Maybe. Highly recommended! Dr. Nielsen and his Co-workers are all personable and very aware of the patients comfort and explaining their work in an easy to understand way. I only have one fake tooth in my mouth and it is my front tooth. I was 19 years old and living in Germany. It was an ordeal. I was told I had an implant and it lasted for 33 years. And then, the pain. Dr. Nielsen to the rescue. Turns out the Germans used a material that corroded in my head resulting in infection. It took some work but he got the old part out and I'm looking forward to mending and getting another permanent front tooth for the rest of my life. Another 33 years would be great.

I was incredibly anxious about having a root canal and Dr. Nielsen and his assistant Carole were amazing, kind, compassionate professionals and took wonderful care of me and addressed my concerns with understanding. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Nielsen and his staff. I was seen immediately for an emergency root canal and in tremendous pain. After the initial procedure the pain immediately started to decrease. His knowledge, communication skills and calm demeanor made the procedure very easy. The office called and checked on my progress twice and on the final procedure was quick and efficient. I strongly recommend Dr. Nielsen for anyone looking for a caring and patient Endodontist.

I needed an emergency root canal, and was having trouble getting in at a few other places that had been recommended to me. At Endodontic Associates, I was able to get in the same day I got in touch for an appointment. Every part of the experience was smooth and comfortable. The desk staff is amazing and kind, and throughout my appointments (it took two) I felt incredibly cared for and like my experience was of the highest priority to the practitioners. Excellent care, great customer service, and good communication. As far as the dentist goes, this is about as good as it gets!

Dr. Nielsen is top notch. Just to begin with, I have never taken the time to write an online review... It started when I was away at work in Seattle and I could not go to sleep because of tooth pain. I knew, based on previous experience, that I would likely need a root canal. The pain was substantial and I needed to get help. I waited until business hours and called several dental offices that were unable to get me in. I then called Endodontic Associates who asked if I had a referral. I said I did not, but based on my symptoms I needed to be seen. They fit me in that day with Dr. Nielsen for an emergency root canal. The whole staff was very professional and did a great job. Dr. Nielson answered every question I had and was very patient with my dental anxiety. Fast Forward a few months and my teeth began to hurt again... I was still in Seattle for work. However when my teeth began to hurt again of course it's not during business hours, but instead instead the middle of the weekend. I called Dr. Nielsen's cell and left a VM as to what was going on. Dr. Nielsen called me back within 20 minutes and I could hear in the background that he was out at dinner.... He literally took about 30 minutes talking to me on the phone while he was not at work to talk about what we should do moving forward. Dr. Nielsen had me come back in and made the decision that surgery would be best for me. The problem was I had to wait a few months due to work reasons in which I could not miss anymore days at work. Dr. Nielsen worked with me to figure out a way around that. During this period I spoke to him several times outside of business hours, during his personal time, regarding my concerns. In April 2017 I had surgery that went much more painless than I had anticipated. Today, over a year later, I had an appointment to see how my teeth and boneless are healing and everything looks good. "knock on wood". Aside from the medical treatment itself, I am writing this review to explain how much of a class act Dr. Nielsen is. One of the only experiences I've had where I thought that a doctor really cares. Dr. Nielsen went above and beyond his responsibilities and I am thankful for that. I had a root canal procedure done with Dr. Paul Madden and can honestly say it was my favorite root canal procedure of all time (I have had 3). He has a great demeanor and really good technique. I didn't feel a thing when he was doing the procedure and he explained everything very clearly and completely.

I was referred to Endodontic Associates by my dentist for a potential root canal. They were able to get me in the same day, but not for 6 hours. Then, the doctor looked at me for 5 minutes, said there was nothing he could do and referred me to an oral surgeon and sent me on my way. I ended up going to another dentist for a second opinion and they said the tooth was fine and could be saved. I'm glad I got a second opinion! I would not recommend Endodontic Associates at all. They didn't seem to care enough to perform a thorough diagnosis. And to add insult to injury, they sent me a $121.00 bill...for a 5 minute exam and a misdiagnosis.
