Fantastic doctor to whom I am extremely grateful. Over the past 20 years, I have attempted to complete 10 colonoscopies including virtual and never succeeded. But Dr. Cohen and his team were able to. It was quite exciting to see pictures taken from all of the different parts of my colon. Horrible office to work with, called two weeks ago to make appointment and provided my insurance card information. The day before the appointment I called to confirm and make sure all my medical records where received . The day of my appointment, while heading into the city from Long Island I called to tell them I was running 5 minutes late. The receptionist told me that my appointment was canceled so I asked to speak with a supivispr. The supervisor apologized and said they don't take my insurance any longer. I asked her why no one had called me and she lied saying someone called me at 2:00PM yesterday. I told her I never received the call and that I called at 4:00PM to confirm no one said anything to me on the phone about a cancelation, they said everything's set and they would see me tomorrow. So basically I traveled all the way into the city for nothing and had to go back home. The secretaries and administrative supervisor was very rude and didn't care about what a incovience this was for me. They had two weeks to check my insurance so I have no idea why this was picked up last minute. She said I'm sorry it's not my problem you can't pay out of pocket and hung up on me. It doesn't matter how good this doctor is but if those are the people representing his practice it's bad for his business. No one wants to deal with rude administrative employees.
