Been to Dr. Holoyda several times. Excellent dr. Patient, understanding, does not rush you. Explains things to you. Great Dr.

I've had epilepsy for going on 8 years now and I was referred to this "doctor" about 2 years ago. Just had my last visit with him. He was rude and arrogant. He was going on about how he has had his degree since 1904 and knew what he was doing. All he wants to do is prescribe medicine every time I have a seizure. This time he had gone up on my prescription and not even a month later I had another seizure. I went back today and he wanted to add to it. When I said I thought it had something to do with my meds being raised he snapped back and said no. He then proceeded to talk to my mom and not even look at me the whole time and even had the audacity to say "If you don't want to be medicated then either get brain surgery or suffer. You know that you can die from a seizure." If you just want meds prescribed to you and be reminded that you can die from your condition then this is a great neurologist for you. This is the worst physician ever. What doctor that have his patient to get an MRI and then send results to you in the mail that they have had multiple strokes. No phone calls or follow up visit to discuss results or anything!!! This physician does not deserve 1 star.

Dr. Holoyda has taken great care of me. He listens and is attentive as is his nurse. He stays booked up and is sometimes hard to get an appointment - but the care I have received and the staff have always been kind and respectful. I would recommend this office to a friend or family. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars is due to the scheduling and even that makes me feel bad as he is but one man and can only do so much in a day- Dr. Holoyda has taken great care of me. My husband is his patient. My husband has had serious issues with restless leg syndrome. The medication our regular doctor prescribed did not help. After several years she set up an appointment with Dr. Holyda. He examined my husband and prescribed the right medication for him. First he weaned him off the old meds, and started 1/2 dosage of the new. About a month later we had a followup appointment. There was improvement. He took him totally off old meds and gave full dosage of the new. He saw him again one more time and adjusted the medication down during the daytime to help him sleep less in the daytime and more at night. We think he is fantastic. It is hard to get appointments, but I feel that is because he is in high demand. Excellent doctor. Five stars for sure.

Do not waste your time, money or insurance on this doctor's office. I went to see the doctor and he ordered a MRI on my back and neck. And then he ordered a brain scan. He sent me to his facility to have this done although I asked about going to the hospital for my scans. They didn't want to do that because they claimed that he couldn't read the results if I had them done elsewhere else which is not true. I called them back to get my MRI on a cd disk to take to another doctor and they want to charge $10 for it. This place is a total RIP off. My daughter was not impressed at all she said he was not up to date on medical advances in neurology and prescribed a medication that had been proven ineffective years ago

I am very hurt and feel very disrespected on the type of care I've received from this practice. I've spoke. With Ms.Jennifer who is a nurse there. My appointment with her was very abnormal. I advised to her my previous neurologist doctor advised and sent the doctor office my MRI results since I now live in this county/state. I can barely function at work nor able to comprehend day to day activities due to my migraines. She wrote on my FMLA that I was functional and capable of work with only 1 episode per week. However, my neurologist back in new york stated how I need a neurologist in macon Georgia every day to help me find a preventive to help my migraines. Most preventives take atleast 2 months to take affect. If I'm having migraines every day and going in and out the hospital how is one episode per week will work for my job. My job is very confused on the type of care of received and even recommended to find another neurologist who actually provides medicine and correct care for me. I spoke with Katy who agree with Jennifer and then I spoke with Lorene Powell who told me that if I found a neurologist that would support my type of episodes of 4 per week that it would be a shock and she would be amazed. However , I do not take 4 days a week off from work when I work a full time job and full time school but to only provide 1 per week is ridiculous. And to provide me medicine that takes atleast 2 months to take affect and still only provide me that type of condition now is outrageous. She said she would speak with doctor holoyada about this but honestly for a doctor to give authorization for a nurse to incorrectly update someone's medical preference is a doctor I do not trust. Scheduled at testing center. Dirty, old building, bathroom was not clean at 8am. Staff was short with me, Doctor didn't listen to my requests or questions, neither did his nurse, he took 2 minutes to look at my MRI film and told me he didn't know why I got 3-4 migraines a month, then prescribed me 1, that's right 1 pill a month to take for my migraines. Do not waste your time with this facility, staff or Doctor. I should have gone to Atlanta from the get go. Waste of money and time off work

Dr. Holoyda himself is wonderful. But for months now I have been doing the office staffs work for them. They completely forgot to file my Botox for migraines claim, after rescheduling my first appointment because they said insurance forms weren’t ready. I didn’t find out until I got a huge collection bill. Now I am having to appeal the claim and the office staff sent it to the wrong state. They have no idea what they are doing and are in no rush to fix it even though I need more treatments.

Dr. Holoyda seems knowledgeable and caring. His office manner is reassuring, He has managed my situation well. However, while the staff seem to be as capable and caring, there is something fundamentally wrong. The phone system is dismal, calls frequently go unreturned. It is rare to be able to contact an actual human being.

Did not address all issues. Pushed Botox for migraines. I did not seem to understand the my frustration with daily migraines, pawned them off as rebound headaches due to too much medication. Well I have been tapered off my other meds and still having DAILY headaches. I cannot use triptans! He repeatedly pushed Botox even though I said that I was very leary about it.
