Dr. Alasad was informed and prepared on my first visit. I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Lung cancer, and he was in high spirits that it was caught early enough to be removed successfully. It was scheduled with Thoracic Surgeon Dr. David Vanhooser who performed a lower lobectomy of right lung. Surgery was successful and 10 days post-surgery i am cancer free. All I need do is regular checkups to insure nothing comes back. Diagnosis early is the key to survival in my opinion.

I have been a hematology patient of Dr. Alasad for almost a year now, and i can't say enough good things about him, his nurse, the phlebotomists and all of the other staff at SW Integris. They are great! From check-in to check out, everyone is always professional, welcoming and courteous of my time. I love that Dr. Alasad spends his time going over everything in a very understandable way, he always makes time to answer all my questions and listens to my concerns. He is very knowledgeable and I just feel like I am in great hands with him as my doctor. I highly recommend! This is our second “journey” with Dr Alasad and Michel—they were great (Fantastic, marvelous, wonderful—and what other superlatives I can add) on the first journey with my wife’s Mom and now with my wife—it’s as if we never skipped a beat. Don’t think we could ask for better care !!!

I never have any problems everyone is friendly. I like that I don’t have to wait very long. Doctor Alasad is the best.

I've been under the care of Integris Cancer Institute SW physician Dr. Bashar Alasad, M.D. for nearly two and a half years. Dr. Alasad is an immensely gifted and compassionate doctor who has seen me through some very intense and sometimes dangerous moments during the treatment of my esophageal cancer. I appreciate his direct but caring commentaries regarding the aggressive and potentially lethal affects of this form of cancer. Both me and my family hold Dr. Alasad and his staff in highest regard with the utmost respect for his professional care, not to mention his ability to give comforting words of encouragement to both me and my family. Dr. Alasad is my hematologist and is absolutely wonderful. He is direct, which is nice, and he also listens to your concerns and issues. Last year, when I a came to my routine check up for my iron levels, he noticed I was in pain and ordered blood tests and ultrasounds to find out what was wrong. His nurse Michael also made sure my insurance approved the requested blood tests before having me go to the lab. Dr. Alasad is my hematologist and is absolutely wonderful. Dr Alasad is a very methodical and analytical practitioner. If you have a blood disease or one that is related to hematology, he is the one to see. He is a very professional doctor, and cares very much for his patients.

After my 5th round of chemo I was feeling very fatigued and had developed thrush, Dr. Alasad and his staff took immediate care of me and made sure I had the meds and information to get better asap.

GOD, Dr. Alasad and cutting edge science saved my life. I had stage 4 lung cancer and after less than a year of treatment, my last 2 scans show no cancer activity at all.

I would score my visit 5/5. initially the office staff and his assistance made me feel more comfortable as I did not know what to anticipate. I got in quick to see him.. This was my first visit, he is very quiet but at same time his body language emits kindness. He did a good job explaining and working out further testing. I felt very comfortable . He even called me with the CT results pretty much soon after he received them which for me was great. The anticipation is the worst part of any medical issue. i would recommend him as well as the clinic.

My wife has been seeing dr alasad for about a year. He has been exceptional. Would highly recommend him. he shows concern for his patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Alasad since May 6 2019 when I was diagnosed with small cell carcinoma. He is very professional and got right on my treatment plan and also spoke with other doctors about my care. The nurses are all professional and caring about all their patients, I am currently on round four of my chemo treatments and have had no real problems. I will have a check-up CT scan next month and go from there. All in all the SW Oncology group is very good and would recommend them to anyone.

Great doctor.

He scheduled procedures before talking with us, without confirming the diagnosis. Too many surprises. Was not aware of any clinical trials or centers of excellence. I fired him.

Dr always gave great care

It's a nice clean place the people are very sweet and helpful. The nurses and staff are wonderful

When dealing with a cancer patient and the family the last thing I want a doctor to do is shove his shoulders...instead of answering a question with a simple yes or no. We seek you for help & motivation through this extremely dark and painful time and your demeanor and answers are both empty. I know you don't know all the answers, but this is your area of expertise. Patients can not be left in the dark when it comes to decisions & perhaps the only hope they have.
