Dr. Barry G Willens

WORST Experiance ever!!!!! waited 2 hrs to not be seen by a DR or NP; just to have vitals taken and a flu test, complained about the wait was taken back and was told they had to redo the flu test! WILL NEVER GO BACK! Left 2 sick patients for 2 hrs just sitting there!

The front staff are not very nice

Love dr. Willens! He definitely saved my life a few years ago, when a major hospital over looked my issues. I do try my best to not visit often, but when I have to, they’re always pleasant ❤️

I have been seeing him since 1993 and will continue. I trust him.

Dr Willens, PA Fatima and their staff are wonderful. They make you feel at home. My 3 generation family goes there. The staff have years of experience and they are very knowledgeable. They listen and work with you. I highly recommend this office. I would not go anywhere else.

By far the worst doctor and care I have ever received in my life. I saw the NP and not even asked if I would prefer to see the doctor. I had lab work done and received a call on Friday. By the time I got the message their office was closed for the weekend. I was told that I wok only receive a call if there was something “serious” found in my labs. Needless to say it was a LONG weekend while I waited to call there office to see what they found. When my husband called in Monday (since I work during their hours) Jennifer had a difficult time explaining the lab results. A prescription was called in incorrectly and had to be straightened out by the pharmacist. I started the antibiotics and called on my day off because I wasn’t feeling well enough to go to work. The office staff was extremely rude and unprofessional (especially Jennifer) They refused to give me documentation for my employer stating a diagnosis unless I came in and paid for another doctor visit. The NP and staff treated me like I was a teenager trying to use them in order to skip school. I’m almost 50 and the idea that I can’t have documentation for their diagnosis was ludicrous. If you are choosing a doctor … do yourself a favor and keep away from this place. It seems primarily geared toward elderly, retired and people who don’t dare ask for details or have questions. The overall atmosphere is a staff full of medical bullies that are in desperate need of money. By far the worst doctor and care I have ever received in my life. Horrible visit, the Office Manager was rude and needs to be educated on what a valid identification is, I have insurance through my employer and don't have to assign a pcp, I can use anyone I choose and will get my test papers back and will not be back. The other staff members were very nice, I would possibly return if she was no longer there. I do not do well with rude people and people who just are not educated at their own job. I have lots of friends and family in Healthcare from Oklahoma and Texas who were outraged about the treatment I received from this Office Manager.

The Dr has everyone’s concern best at heart. My only concern is that he is on his own and I worry about him. He is a very good doctor. To bad that I am moving and may not find another Dr as caring as him.. Veronica, you are wonderful. Love you all. This is Suni, by the way.

We used to go to Dr. Willens for many years he was a good Dr. at first then we started to see PA not Dr. Willens which at first it was fine but then that’s all we saw was PA never Dr. Willens I think if you pay 450 a month for insurance you should be able to see a real Doctor. We payed 25 dollars for Co-pay for PCP per visit well I don’t know what changed they started charging us 40 dollars per visit, I asked them why they told me they were now urgent care which didn’t make since because my Insurance charges 75 for urgent care. Needless to say I called my insurance they told me no Dr. Willens was listed as a PCP doctor so they should be charged me 25 dollars not 40 dollars. I went back to tell them they were changing me 15 dollars over my co-payment they got really nasty with me. So I left took my business somewhere else. BEWARE OF OVER CHANGING YOU THEY LOVE OVER TESTING TO CHARGE YOUR INSURANCE AND YOU!!!!! MAKE SURE YOU KNOW YOUR CO-PAY. I had left this office and went into a Bigger Medical chain and after feeling like just a number in those I came back. They have all the testing instruments under one roof and the Dr will actually talk to you and try to fix your issues. Dr Willens has always been very professional and compassionate and thorough with my family. He took my 83 year old mother in as new patient and took care of more concerns in 1 appointment than had been addressed with her other physicians for years.

They need to “practice” a little more. Their lack of treatment ended me up in the ER and once I came back to follow up, they changed the ER Docs medication back to what they thought I needed causing the same pain as before the ER visit. Waste of time, plus their offices don’t even have patience tables right now!

My husband takes medication for blood pressure, diabetes and a beta blocker. We were going to Willens because we don't have insurance. Dr Willens won't do refills without an another appointment. If your paying cash $80 is a lot to pay plus cost of meds. We will not be going back. He also sends his prescription s to the pharmacy next door that he also owns. So he nails you again there. my mom went there on 7/17/19 . her regular doctor was not available so we decided to go there myself and my mom seen him before long time ago. anyway she fell going up a step up she's 80 years old. right in front of the office door they have no space to walk up. very poor design. she was told they did not take her insurance I told them can't ya'll attend to her nose since she fell over here told them I would pay cash . the nurse went check and came back and said no. I loaded her in my vehicle and bought her to the emergency room at kingwood hospital they attended to her right away in a professional manner. can't same the same for dr.willens' office are his staff . I feel they was just more for the money, which I offered to pay cash . they refused her medical help .I would never! recommend anyone to go there . I would like to thank all the by standers for helping my mom.

terrible place

Beware!! This clinic is a scam. This is 3 rd times they made appointments for me to be here for my surgery but then they never done it. They keep sending me over and over again to charge incurance money and of course my co paid to them. Im really tired of it. I just want to get my surgery done and as i said this is 3 rd time im here and they sent me back even tho i supposed to have surgery appointment at 2 nd time but now soon to be 4 th times and not surgery yet. What a scam place. I will report it to insurance plan and definitely have to chose different doctor/clinic. WORST CLINIC ever. Dont believe in other reviews. This clinic is not even deserved one star, most likely from the doctor there. Awful doctor, unprofessional. My dad had appointment today at 4pm and of course we got there around 3:45pm and they got us in for check then the doctor told my dad to reschedule his surgery appointment to Friday even though the people at the front TOLD me the doctor accepted my dad appointment on Monday today. Doctor walked out of the room since i told him this is MANY times my dad was here and scheduled surgery appointment and he cant miss work anymore. Doctor walked out of the room and said wait in there without letting me know what his decision was ( i thought what he wanted my dad to do? schedule back on Friday or stay there and wait for surgery today? ). We waited 20 minutes or more then i opened the room and asked the doctor what is going on. Dr said my dad has to wait for all the dr done all patients then my dad turn. My dad had appmt at 4pm but Dr kept telling us we had appointment at 5pm. Well if appointment at 5 why Dr got us in at 4pm and told us to reschedule on Friday????????? They are just so GREEDY about money. They accepted to schedule my dad surgery on the day i call then they have more patients and wanted to rescheduled my dad??? Dr. Willins is great but the office staff is often very rude and disconnected to politeness. Dr. Willens is the only reason I haven’t taken my mom to another doctor.

I’m floored... appointment made over a week ago for injections & im not told until I’ve taken off work & I’m in the office that they no longer file insurance for labs/shots/test ... wow!!! Seems unprofessional to withhold that information for a copay! Shame after 20+ years

Highly recommended Dr. Willens he is great and i trust him 100%. He gave my mom a shot in the knee and its like a miracle, with in 4 hours of the shot she can walk without a walker and still is walking with out it, i give Dr.Willens and his staff 5 star rating!!!

One of the best doctors around. You will always feel better after leaving his office . I always tell the doctor to put me back together agian and i walk out feeling great. To me he is the the best. Ive been his patient for 19 years!

My 3rd visit here it's all been great, really like Dr.Willens and staff very helpful, knowledgeable always willing to assist and for treatments were very efficient, he helped me over come my physical muscle pain, joint pain. Every time I call they will always try to squeeze me in for a quick appointment.. Veronica the front office Manager is the best ! she always gives a 110% in her Customer service and is always willing to lend a hand and help anyone she can . Nurse Laisa is always super friendly makes me feel very comfortable when she is checking my vials and is great and giving shots.. My Son finally got his insurance through his job and of all the doctors in Houston, Texas, he found Dr. Willens' facility in New Caney. This was the biggest blessing for us. Beginning with the front office staff, they are the most considerate and friendly people who know customer service. The doctor and his professionals gave the utmost quality service with care to both my son and I. You cannot go wrong with this facility. I highly recommend this place for anyone. I found Dr. Willens after asking my boss to recommend a doctor. That was 10 years ago, and I’ve been loyal patient through through thyroid cancer and other serious issues. Dr. Willens has done a lot to make treatment more convenient It’s an old-fashioned family style practice where you’re more than just a number!

Beware! He will do tests that are not even needed so he can charge your insurance and if you are on a Schedule II prescription he does a Urine and Blood Drug Test every single month which is not required by the DEA. I have finally reached my point of no return when he charged me $55 that had to paid in CASH to sign a medical release form on top of another office visit so he could try to sell me on hormone pellets that are expensive and not covered by insurance. That is just the beginning.

No one even acknowledged I was there even though I was standing right in front of the counter, nor did they have presence of mind to ask if I had been helped. I used this office from 2015 until Feb 2018. I'll start by saying I loved John Garcia. He was a great PAC. The staff though? Needs work. Everyone has a resting b*tch face and is rude. I had no insurance and was paying the $70 office visit. It was raised to $85 this year. I cringed but still paid it. I had just been seen in the clinic by John for my medication. I needed a letter from my doctor stating my medication wouldn't effect my driving a bus, required for DOT physical. I called, they wanted me to come in, pay $85 for an office visit PLUS another fee for a letter written up. So I went to another Dr that charges $70 office visit, they happily wrote me a letter and didn't even charge me extra for it. This clinic will Nickel and dime you to death. Also, clear your day if you make an appointment here. Times mean nothing. You'll wait 30 mins or more in waiting room. Once you're in the room waiting for doctor.... I've waited 30 to 45 mins each time. My husband put a call in to the office manager requesting a call back. They have never called back, and I'm sure won't. I do not recommend this clinic. At all. Even though he is listed as a primary care physician, he bills you as an urgent care which is twice the deductible as PCP. He should not be allowed to claim being a PCP then spring on you the extra cost. I feel this is being deceitful.

I have been coming to Dr. Barry Willens for the past 12 years! I continue to come here because of his caring concern for my well being and his excellent staff!!! They may not get us in as fast as we'd like but that is sometimes unavoidable. I know that they always try their best to accommodate my needs!! These people filed against my credit. I have bank records showing I PAID on the day of my visit. My intention is now to file a suit against them for credit repair, lost time from work, etc... they won't even return my calls! This is a "business"????

Great office! I came in with knee pain, had a short wait time and got back to a room to see Dr. Willens. He ordered a X-Ray and an ultrasound that I got to have done all on the same day and follow up. After my testing i went back in the room and went over the results with Dr. Willens, he was very patient while i asked all my questions and offered to give me a knee injection to help with the pain. I got the injection and went on my way, the next day the nurse called to see how my knee was feeling and if my injection worked! This place is by far the best family doctor around and my knee is feeling back to normal with no pain at all. I highly recommend to all of my friends and family. Great office! Dr Willens is very knowledgeable and experienced with an excellent bedside manner. Never felt rushed at all. The Practitioner Caroline is also great, taking the time to explain everything thoroughly and address all my concerns. I wish I could say the same about the office staff, but some of them have Absolutely NO people skills whatsoever. Today the wait to check out was about 15 minutes. The girl I dealt with was not rude, but definitely not friendly either. No apology for the long wait.

I could not walk, dizzy, everything going in circles I thought I had an inner-ear infection or vertigo! My Doctor had no appointments n I figured I could sleep it off, then my best friend told me she was taking me to the hospital I told her let me call the Doctor in New Caney. I did and my appt was in 1 hr. I was amazed, walked in, saw NPA, had test that I would have gone elsewhere or another day and the results of all test the same day! Treated and until I could go back to work I have an appt in the a.m. That's not it they wanted me to see a specialist which will see me in a week at Dr. Willing office! This is the by far best Doctor I have ever met! He took his time and was very thorough with everything. He found the spot on my back that I have been having pain in for the last almost 18 years that no other Doctor could find. He found it with one X-ray! He showed me where my pain was without me having to pinpoint it out. All the other Doctors I've ever went to never could tell me anything other than "you need to go to a pain Dr or a Chiropractor"...with that being said all in all I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE! DR.
