Mr. Barry H. Federman

Over the past several years, Barry has been an excellent provider for myself as well as members of my family. He has always listened intently and prescribed, what we have found to be, helpful medications.

Barry is wonderful He genuinely cares and is very compassionate. He has helped me tremendously over the last several years. I wouldn't hesitate a second to recommend him. He gets an A+ in my book!

It’s extremely hard to find a good Dr. These days, but with a lot of searching I am extremely happy I found BarryFederman. He’s easy to talk to and he was very compassionate . If your looking for someone new, please contact Barry Federman!

Barry is an excellent practitioner. Listens and explains. Very good about getting back to me. I have been seeing her for many years and I think the bad reviews are when he worked in Amherst. That office was awful, staff , scheduling you name it I highly recommend Barry

I wish negative stars were possible. IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT YOUR WELLBEING DO NOT SEE THIS MAN. He does not care about you, he cares about money. How he practices is unethical, negligent and disgusting. It was enough I will be submitting a formal complaint with the licensing agency for him to be investigated for negligence. I lost my job, my ability to function due to this man. Highlights: -He is 10 min. late for appointments, meets with you for 5-10 min., and charges $175+ -He gave me a new medication every two weeks, it takes 1-2 months to see if an antidepressant is right -I am hypersensitive to psychiatric medication, when I had complications he told me my symptoms were pre-existing conditions, and to contact my PCP instead -I told him the side effects of the medication made me feel bipolar, homicidal and suicidal. His response was to over-prescribe me Klonopin. -He FORCED a rapid klonopin taper on me I wasn't comfortable with, that is not safe or supported by the literature.

Difficult to work with, keeps poor notes, not trauma informed.

Take the negative reviews here seriously. Avoiding details for anonymity, because I am currently disputing copays he claimed I never paid (I paid in cash and he claimed he could not give receipts). If a patient pays you EVERY single visit (never once late), why would you then say “you cannot remember if they did or didn’t pay” and expect them to be responsible? Always demand receipts or do not pay in cash.

Excellent clinician. Worked with me. But most impressed he listened to everything I said.

Just spoke to him about a crazy bill. I have always paid a $20 copay only. Now I get a bill for $135 for office visit. When I called to question it, he was rude and said, "You know what, don't pay it and don't come back." Do you want to be treated like this? Don't worry Barry, not coming back.

Most helpful doctor I’ve ever had. Didn’t feel like I wasn’t being rushed, put me on medications that would work for me and my sometimes lack of compliance (example: meds that’s would work for my anxiety but also wouldn’t send me into withdrawals if I missed a day or two). Scheduling is always easy which is huge because I work a very inconsistent schedule traveling a lot for work.

Barry is very knowledgeable about medications He was able to explain and help me understand some issues that other providers were not able to. He is nonjudgmental and supportive. I highly recommend him to anyome looking for an experienced and caring provider.

Easy to communicate with. I believe office staff was "refreshed" due to client complaints. This shows a well rounded attitude towards their practice. I have only been treated with respect here. The office is clean and well set up.

Barry calls himself a physician but he's not. He spent 5 minutes with me and charged $235. The lest ethical and least competent provider I've ever been to

Barry is an awesome provider but his staff is ATROCIOUS. I hate any interaction I have with the majority of his staff. I work in Mental Health and managed a front desk for a family practice for years and I really do not understand why half of the staff even have jobs. They are incredibly untherapeutic and to be honest just quiet rude and unhelpful. I have debated leaving Barry, who is fantastic, solely because of his office staff.
