I have been a patient of Dr.Barry J.Cohen since 2002. He has performed multiple procedures on me over the 20 years span, I am overjoyed with all the results. NEVER had any complications or infections. Barry has treated me like family, and for that I am forever grateful. My experience with Dr. Cohen was incredible! During my first consult, he made me feel very comfortable, answered all my questions, and made me feel confident about having this procedure. On the day of the surgery, I was welcomed with open arms and had so much support by not just the doctor, but also the nurses and anesthesiologist that I immediately felt comfortable. Dr. Cohen even came to speak with me before the procedure and reviewed everything with me and marked my body in preparation. Also he made sure I understood not just the surgery portion but also aftercare. This was extremely helpful afterwards! During recovery, I was surprised that I didn’t have much pain for such a big surgery. On my follow up, Dr. Cohen once again answered all my questions and ensured that I was recovering extremely well. I got my nose done with Dr. Cohen, and my results are so beautiful and natural looking. I got a Rhinoplasty with Dr. Cohen in 2018. Surgery actually went well - no complications. I was happy with my nose. It actually wasn't until 2021 when I started to notice a bump on the side of my nose. I traveled all the way from Bos to MD to have him look at it twice. Both appointments lasted 5 min - he was in and out and didn't even look up my nose after traveling on plane to get there. I told him I was going to get a 2nd opinion which he didn't seem thrilled about. When I went to get a 2nd opinion I found out I had a HOLE in my septum and the back of my septum was missing. At this point I was reaching out to Dr Cohens office and I had to follow up on my OWN emails to get them to respond and set up some time. When I met with him, his advice was "do nothing - it's the best thing you could do". I met with a new Dr and their advice was to get the hole patched ASAP or my nose would collapse in the future. During surgery, my new Dr found cartilage floating around in my nose. Nightmare!

Dr. Cohen is an incredible surgeon and physician. Not only is his work great but he is truly always available to his patients no matter what time of day or night. Highly recommend him.

I broke my nose in 2019. I had it repaired in early 2020 by a different surgeon. In 2021 I saw Dr. Cohen as he was highly recommended. I was having difficulty breathing and also has a very undesirable aesthetic result. Dr. Cohen immediately diagnosed the problem and scheduled me for surgery the next month. He was able to place spreader grafts to open the area that had internally collapsed. He also put an implant to fix the bad result from the other surgeon giving me a much nicer nose. Lesson Learned :Do YOUR HOMEWORK, your nose is your breathing and the first thing someone notices when looking at your face. Dr. Cohen was recoginzed by the prestigious US News and World Reports as one of the top 50 rhinoplasty surgeons in America and I can see why. I am extremely happy. He also has a super nice and efficient office staff and medical staff. Highly Recommend ......

Dr. Cohen is a brilliant plastic surgeon who performed reconstructive surgery on my client who suffered painful and debilitating injuries from a dog attack. Dr. Cohen gave him his ear back (which the dog had torn off and swallowed) and closed a 3 inch by 12 inch hole in my client's leg where the dog ripped off part of his thigh. My teenage daughter worked to be able and afford rhinoplasty. She chose Dr. Cohen because she heard of his artistic, good work and excellent bedside manner. At the consult she immediately felt at ease and all her fears were eased up. All she felt was excitement. Dr. C helped her find the perfect look that will allow her new nose to be a part of who she had always been and helped her schedule the perfect time given her imminent leave for college. Day before surgery Dr. C texted to ask if we had any questions. Day of surgery the staff made her feel at ease, Dr. C came to take her to the OR, not before making me feel like she was being guarded every step of the way. An hour later I got a text with initial photo letting me know all was ok. Dr C took me to see her and with help of the nurse Mazi, got her to her feet. I would not recommend this dr. He was rushed and it was uncomfortable with no results. Dr. Cohen's bedside manner was one of the worst I have come across in my 60 years.

March 2020, my dermatologist diagnosed early-stage Melanoma cancer on my right shin; 3 attempts to get it all not successful & a skin graft necessary by a reconstructive surgeon. I'd had face/neck/eyelift by Dr. Cohen: 1st in 2011, 2nd time 8 years later. I was extremely happy w/ my results. Where do I start? When I first met Dr. Cohen, ten years ago, he was wonderful kind and patient. He did such a good job then, I returned 8 years later. From the minute I walked into his office, I was greeted by a kind friendly staff. My first consult, I went with a list of questions and concerns, and he answered all of them and gave me great advice. Doctor Cohen is amazing.! About 8 years ago I got a lower face and neck lift by different plastic surgeon. A week after the surgery my face looked the same as before . The surgeon redid the surgery and it was so painful that I clenched my jaw and ended up with TMJ. I had to go to a dental specialist and get braces! It was a nightmare ,to make the a long story short there was no difference in my face from Before & After those two face lifts. I said never again. Doctor Cohen said he could make me look 10 to 15 years younger under local and it would be less painful and I would get much better results. He didn't lie ! Doctor Cohen is confident, honest, tells it like it is no sugar coating, plus he has charisma. I trust him fully. He did a wonderful job, I got a lower face and neck left and yes I do look a lot younger and the recovery was minimal I was driving 3 days later. Surgery was 12/15 for Me. I had a great experience from Beginning to end starting with the consult. I booked Same day and his assistants Monique kept in Contact With me and eased My mind On any questions I had. Dr. Cohen knew his Work and did a A1 job on my TT, MR, hernia repair and lipo flanks And breast reduction / lift. The day of surgery he made me and my husband feel So comfortable and Let him know I was in good hands. I was Very pleased with his Work and I would recommend him 100x more. Run don't walk from this doctor. I have never written a negative review of a doctor before. I am a nurse & understand the workings of medical care. I have never in my 63 years been treated so poorly. It has been 2 months since I had the procedures. I previously had fillers & botox at another dr. office, so am familiar with it. Previously I had spoken with a different doctor about tear trough filler but was told it could be tricky. So I wanted to discuss the procedure. I also wanted botox in forehead & filler in marionette lines. Dr. Cohen came in the room, looked at my chart & said "oh u want botox". I explained the other concerns I had. He spoke rudely to me every time I asked a question. He knew I was a nurse. Before I could confirm what we were going to do, he roughly slapped some numbing creme on my face & left. He came back & started injecting botox, then filler. He never looked at my face from the front, only stood on the side. Put filler in but never checked how it looked. Was very rough & told me I was "tough". He then started injecting beneath my eyes. I assumed this was the filler I talked about. He told me it was PDO threads. I did not know anything about this! I had no idea what this was! He said this is what he likes to use. It was painful. I was in shock that he was doing this. He said the one side was bleeding & would be a shiner. Gave me some gauze & ice & left room. No discharge instructions. Came back awhile later & peaked in room from doorway. Said use some echinacea if it bruises too badly. Never checked how anything looked. The entire procedure was so rushed & rough. Total time form the time I entered the procedure room until I was back in my car was 25 miuites including waiting at the desk to pay. My right eye bruised very badly & was very sore. I had to research the threads for follow up instructions. It took 7 weeks for swelling & bruising to go down.The bruising was so severe that it could not be covered with heavy concealer. It has been 2 months & my right eye still has a pocket of fluid underneath. I see no results from the filler. It was the worst experience I have had with a physician. DO NOT allow him to do this to you. There are so many better doctors.

Barry cohen destroyed my face then plied me with an a lot of treatments that were not relevant to the disaster he created. I have never had an experience that was negative enough to warrant writing a review, however my experience with Dr. Cohen was very bad. I went in to see the doctor for a consultation for an eye lift. Dr. Cohen suggested multiple surgeries and told me I needed much more than an eye lift. At first I was shocked and offended by Dr. Cohen's suggestions. To make matters worse, I could hear him mocking me to his staff as he left the room. I left his office feeling deflated. Instead of going to Dr. Cohen I found a wonderful surgeon in Chevy Chase and had my procedure done last week. I couldn't have been happier with the wonderful bedside manner of the surgeon. He did not recommend that I re do my face the way that Dr. Cohen did and I feel great. I can't wait to get my bandages off to see the results. Dr. Cohen needs to be taught a lesson in manners and it appears I am not the only one who had a bad experience, his reviews reflect his lack of empathy.

I went in for a consultation and was immediately uncomfortable with Dr. Cohen. He was rushed throughout the appointment and barely answered my questions. Surgery is too risky to not have a doctor listen to their patients concerns. I should have done more research prior to the consultation, he has a lot of complaints from previous patients.

Dr. Cohen performed Rhinoplasty on me yesterday. I was well informed about the procedure before I scheduled. Dr. Cohen answered all my questions and was very patient. I had the surgery 24 hours ago and have no pain whatsoever If you are considering a surgical procedure, you are in good hands with Dr. Cohen and his staff. Monique took care of my needs and answered all my questions. I spoke with her quite a bit about the appointment. She also helped me with navigating Care Credit. I had help at every step of the way during this procedure.

I visited Dr. Cohen's office to get fillers. He was extremely rushed and did not take the time to listen to what I wanted. After three weeks I noticed that the poor job he did looked deflated. I asked the office manager if I could come back in and have it fixed. I never got a call back. This was not a good experience.

Don't waste your time, the office is rushed and my filler results were subpar.

I went in for filler in February with a Groupon and was unhappy with the results, they lasted for only a month. I was also not happy that the appointment was very rushed, I would not go back to this office. After the COVID restrictions are lifted I would go to see someone else.

I was referred to Dr. Cohen by a friend to have my breast replacement surgery and was extremely happy I went with Dr. Cohen. He was very friendly and listened to what I wanted but kept me still looking very natural. I was very pleased with how available he was as well as for his staff. I am completely in love with my breast augmentation procedure and so happy I am at the size I wanted to be at. I have been referring all of my friends to him and will be going back to him for my funny tuck procedure hopefully in the future once this pandemic goes away.

Dr. Cohen performed breast augmentation on me three years ago and I have been in pain ever since. I had several follow up visits and tried to get Dr. Cohen to listen to my concerns but he kept telling me that the discomfort would go away. After a year I knew better. I have had corrective surgery with another Dr and had wonderful results. For the first time in years, I do not have pain. Please go to another doctor.

Dr. Cohen performed breast augmentation on me three years ago. I had pain for a while after the surgery and when I went back to ask about the discomfort Dr. Cohen told me I was fine and it would go away. It did not. I called several times post-op and was met with rudeness from the staff and Dr. Cohen himself. I have recently had them redone with another surgeon in the area and am finally pain-free. Please do not see this surgeon.

My experience with Dr. Cohen was horrible. I went in for fillers and he bruised me so badly that I could not go back to work for two days. During the procedure I told him several times that I was experiencing pain and he barely responded. He was rushed, rude, and did not even give great results. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Cohen.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Cohen. I went in to see Dr. Cohen for filler and Botox and was rushed throughout the painful procedure. When I asked questions about price and pain Dr. Cohen was defensive and extremely rude. I was insulted when Dr. Cohen started telling me other plastic surgeries that he suggested I invest in. I went in for filler and not a commentary on my flaws. I remain shocked that a doctor like this has any patients.

I went for a breast aug and should have done my homework this dr was fine in the way he treated but was a jerk when I had some complications. I had to call his line after hrs and when I got a call back he acted like I had inconvenienced him by calling. I was having pain and my husband wanted me to check if it was normal he barely listened to us and was in a hurry all of the time. for the thousands of dollars we spent this was not the expectation.

Dr. Cohen is absolutely amazing! From consult, to surgery, to post operative care, he and his staff always give 110% He is honest with his opinions of what procedures he thinks are necessary and will not perform any operations that are unnecessary or unsafe. I have had both a breast reduction/lift and extended tummy tuck with muscle repair by Dr. Cohen. I went for over 5 post-op appointments on a weekly basis to insure I was healing properly and he always spent as much time with me as I needed to answer any/all questions and concerns. I have healed beautifully and referred him to many friends and family members who have also had wonderful experiences. Dr. Cohen is board certified and has been for almost 30 years now! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an honest, compassionate and experienced doctor!

Will never ever go to this doctor even it’s for free. I did my lipo and breast implant 10 months ago and the result is just to look disgusting. Im still paying my pochedure now having to pay another pochedure to fix the breasts. At the consultation he was nice and seeming awesome I was so trusting and happy to decide my choice. But now after been through the journey of pain and terrible left breast looking, I’m jsut so disappointed and beating myself over and over again for going to him. We tried and agreed on 210 cc at the consultation meeting but then he did 190 for some reason, we agreed on remove my chin implant he didn’t do it even they wrote a medical neccesary note for it and charged my medical flex account for it. The lipo was liek a joke because nothing look differnt when I raise my oncern he said he’d redo if I’m not happy. Now he won’t care to take care of his work not my breasts, not my lipo not chin remove or whatsoever. I am constantly depressed when I think about it. Not everyone is rich to pay twice for soemthing that’s not done right esp. thousands of dollars. This cosmetic pochedure puts me in hardship because iether I live in pain and looking terrible or pay again fix it somewhere else. VERY DISTRESSED! I went to doctor Cohen for a revision. I had a breast augmentation gone wrong nine months before. He not only fixed my problems ( which were extensive ) he was patient, explained all that would be done, how, why and when. The surgery went so smoothly, from the front desk to his nurses and assistant. Everyone was warm, kind and knowledgeable. Putting me at ease after my first bad experience was not easy but they all pulled it off beautifully. The main proof was in the result which I am so happy with! Dr. Cohen truly made me feel so comfortable and at ease during my surgery, all the way down to the very moment I was being put to sleep. He listened to & provided what I wanted regardless of what he had “envisioned” for me & that was a huge deal for me. Dr. Cohen did a great job! I was extremely nervous and he was very patient and took the time to walked me through the procedure and what I could expect post procedure. In addition, he was available after my procedure to answer my questions during my healing process. I would highly recommended Dr. Cohen to anyone interested in plastic surgery.
