I had a tooth removed yesterday on 2/9/23, Dr Tolley did his damn thing. I thought I was there every bit of 5 min and he got that tooth out lol. It was quick and painless. The Doctor as well as the staff made me feel really good and safe. I would recommend him to anybody. He was really awesome i can't thank him enough. He said I would be ok and have no dental pain,it's the next day and I can't even say it felt like I had anything surgically removed just a normal day. I give that man 10 stars. Thanks so much Dr.Tolley and staff. Best oral surgeon ever.

I traveled from Valdosta, Ga (my dentist recommended this office) to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I loved everything about this office. The staff was so friendly including Dr.Tolley and everyone made sure to make me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions; they even gave me a heated blanket before my procedure :)

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. they are atrocious and hurt people.

Firstly, I will say the staff is friendly and very thorough in explaining things no complaints there. I went to have two wisdom teeth removed and they wanted to remove six teeth. I have a general dentist I needed them to handle the wisdom teeth only, then they said my BP was too high so they didn’t wanna do anything till I got clearance from a doctor. Well from the start that was why I wanted to be numbed and not put under. They also didn’t wanna prescribe me anything for pain so nothing was accomplished and they got $167 out of me the most hilarious part of all is having a doctor tell you there’s only a danger when being put under they could’ve just numbed you and did the procedure and if nothing else sent you a script for ibuprofen for the pain till you could come back in.

Dr Tolley did a good job on my extraction.

I took my son for a consultation. From the first to last interaction with staff, nurses, doctor, etc., we were met with authentic kindness, non-pretentious concern, and what appears to be abundant competence and expertise. I am confident moving forward and highly recommend.

My initial consultation went great. Dr. Tolley seemed like a wonderful surgeon, and he made me feel a bit more relaxed about having my wisdom teeth extracted. Today, though, on the day of my surgery, I waited for 40 minutes just to have someone come out and notify me that my surgery could not be done because their surgeries ran late and Dr. Tolley had a court hearing in 30 minutes. She said that they could try to fit me in this afternoon but that she could not give me an exact time because they would have to work me in around consultations. I was livid, but I agreed to get rescheduled for tomorrow morning. After leaving the office, I realized that if they didn't have the decency to notify me earlier about potential scheduling conflicts, how could I trust them to be responsible in caring for my dental health? Needless to say, I just cancelled my surgery for tomorrow and have already asked my dentist for a referral to a different oral surgeon in town. Also, trying to get in touch with them over the phone is nearly impossible. I echo other reviews on here about how difficult it is to get someone to pick up the phone. There is absolutely not one thing bad I can say about Dr. Tolley and his staff they are AWESOME! I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed. I went in on a Tuesday and was told I could get my teeth pulled that Friday! His staff is very informative and kind. Everyone made me more than comfortable. I had zero pain in my healing process (I actually didn’t need any pain meds after I was shocked) and was soooooooo happy because my face had been swollen for almost 9 months with all day headaches due to wisdom tooth pain and going to different dentist that were being extremely rude, couldn’t pull my teeth, didn’t accept my insurance, or couldn’t pull my teeth for another month or months. I don't think Dr. Tolley cares for people crying in pain which is odd considering the line of work he is in. I went in with nerve pain which is excruciating. He said you don't like dentists do you? I said no. He said maybe we should wait til next week to do this and I was trying to choke back my crying to get him to take care of the problem. I have never been treated so shabbily by any so called professional in my life. The first shot didn't work, the second did, he pulled the tooth. I don't think he should be treating people. Dr. Tolley did my wisdom tooth extraction many years ago, which is why I wanted to see him for my recent issue which may have been related to the previous surgery. I visited my dentist and got a referral. However, after calling repeatedly and leaving messages, no one will call me back to let me know if the referral documents were received or schedule a consultation. It's a frustrating thing when you're in pain to feel like you're being ignored. I guess I'll be going with a different provider. Dr Tolley’s staff is so warm and personable. I can’t recommend him enough. He was very kind and had my wisdom tooth out in minutes, I have followed his post op instructions and had very little discomfort at all. A procedure I was absolutely dreading ended up being simple and painless.

Very satisfied with my Visit with Dr. Tolley and the gang. the Surgery itself seems like a pleasant dream. Highly recommend the IV full-sedation for anyone getting wisdom teeth surgery, who is nervous about the procedure. One second i was being stuck and the next minute i was awake and the being whisked away to my car. Surgery went off without a hitch, had 3 wisdom teeth removed. I was feeling pain that i wasn't sure was normal 5 days after surgery. Was given reassurance and great advice on how to handle it, with a follow up always on the cards. I cannot recommend Dr. Tolley and his staff enough. I had a non-wisdom tooth removed recently and the process, as well as the healing, was smooth sailing. I was very nervous going in because I’ve had very bad experiences with dentists before, and I was nervous about sedation. The support staff was consistently asking me if I was okay, and if I needed anything. They gave me a blanket when I was chilly and waiting for the doctor. And then Dr. Tolley came in, put me to sleep, and I woke up with no complications and virtually no pain. I recently had surgery which was my first time going under anesthesia. The young nurse who came in to assist in the surgery was very welcoming and helped to ease my anxiety. I’m not sure if it was Amanda or Madison. I would’ve given 5 stars had everyone been as pleasant as the nurse who helped me. Dr. Tolley was awesome and answered my questions. Mom's proceedure went very well. She is very pleased with Dr Tolley. His nurse, Dana, was awesome!! She took great care of my Mom. He and his staff are professionals, through and through. Highly recommend them!!

I have had nothing but positive, great interaction with Dr Tolley and his staff. My husband also had a procedure in his office and all went great. All the staff are super nice. Madison and I bonded over softball and have a good time. This is an oral surgery office..schedules could get off at times. Example...me..had an issue with the gas..my body does not like it. In a matter of seconds when nurse asked for help..both Drs and 2 more nurses in my room. They will do the same for any other patient..so I'm ok if schedule time is off..I was throwing up..you just never know..be kind, patient, and know you will be taken care of. His receptionist is extremely rude while also informing me that I can not ask certain questions during a consult for my two daughters. I understand an additional appointment may be necessary to address other issues but do not tell a mother that she can not ask questions about oral issues for her child! I hate when good doctors have poor staff!

Never answer the phone-

Since I can’t get anyone to call me back, if you’re reading this one star review and you work under Dr. Tolley: ????????I am canceling my surgery for Friday, 1/22/21. Please don’t expect me to try calling and leaving you a voicemail for a FOURTH time ???? EDIT: someone finally just called me back and she was COMPLETELY RUDE because she didn’t believe me that I actually left them 3 voicemails! I do not deserve this at all! I’ve been patient. I’ve been understanding. I’ve been nice. I’ve been WAITING. I did not deserve this attitude and her “I’m not the one who answers the phone” excuses! Here’s my review: Prior to my appointment, back in December, I was proactive and made sure they had my X-rays ready before my consultation (because it’s $170 if they need to take an X-ray themselves), the girl at the front said she couldn’t find my X-ray from my dentist! (Spoiler alert: it was sent in on November 23rd). So after going back and forth with my dentist to send it over, I finally spoke to someone at Tolley’s office who knew what they were doing and she said they’ve had my X-ray all along!! It’s a first strike so I gave them a pass and chalked it up to: that’s just the Lord testing my patience. But wait, it gets better. So I finally had my consultation on Dec 28th and I’m $100 in the hole just for the initial consolation which took TWO HOURS from the time I arrived to the time I left. TWO hours - I promise I’m not even exaggerating. I even dozed off in the waiting room. All of that time wasted just to hear what I already knew; just so he can stick a little mirror in my mouth; the whole reason why I was referred here in the first place — “yep, we can remove your wisdom teeth.” GEE, THANKS. SURE GLAD I WAITED AROUND TO HEAR YOU SAY THAT. I WAS BEGINNING TO THINK ALL THIS PAIN I AM IN WASN’T ENOUGH OF A REASON TO GET THEM REMOVED. BUT OK HERE’S MY $100!!! NICE WORK TEAM! ???? Honestly, I understand the point of a consultation, but I will never understand why it’s $100 and 2 hours of my time. I could have gotten mad and spoken up but I didn’t, I decided to give these people a 3rd chance and just focus on what’s important which is putting an end to my pain. BUT WAIT! There’s more... Fast forward to today, two days before my surgery and I can’t get a hold of ANYBODY. I never even received a confirmation of my appointment. I’d been patiently waiting for 2 1/2 weeks since the New Year for someone to call me with the estimates for my surgery that I was promised last month. Well, I got tired of waiting so I called Dr. Tolley’s office myself and I can’t get a hold of anyone! I left 3 voicemails over the course of yesterday and today. In my last voicemail I just said: “look, if you can’t call me, just email me!” Send a smoke signal or carrier pigeon! (I mean, not at this point because I already found a new surgeon). So if you haven’t picked up on this detail yet: I originally called them mid-November and they couldn’t do my surgery until Jan. 22nd. So take that into consideration if you are truly in pain - they won’t squeeze you in. AND when you do finally get into the office, notice how they’re making people share pens when filling out their paperwork... during a pandemic!!! Leave me a comment if you want to hear more about how they seemingly disregard the spread of COVID-19. Finally, the comments these employees make about each other, you can tell that they don’t even like working with each other. They say things that undermine each other and that’s a bad sign. Oh and, Dr. Tolley could work on his bedside manner. Here’s a positive: One girl was really nice: Madison. I give you 5 stars, girl. I didn’t want to bore you with how awful your coworkers are because I knew their behavior is out of your hands. I was nervous about surgery, and now I know that I had a reason to be. Mr. Tolley was nice I met him briefly at my appointment before surgery and the day of my surgery. But I had pain during my surgery, and I don't even understand why I was awake or feeling pain because I paid to be sedated during my surgery. Today makes a week after and I am still having gum, teeth, and jaw pain along with chin numbness and not to mention tooth or bone fragment left in one of the tooth sockets. I also can't sleep at night because the pain gets worse when I lay down I have to deal with pain all day and then can't sleep at night because the pain is excruciating and nothing is being done . Dr. Tolley and his staff took me in on an emergency appointment for a fractured tooth. I was in a great deal of pain, but they provided the very best care to me. On my return visit, the follow-up surgery was completed in a professional and caring manner. Both Dr. Tolley, and staff member, Amanda were not only professional, but personable and put me at ease throughout the entire procedure. I was terrified of getting my wisdom teeth out (all four at once) but everyone there was very kind to me and took really good care of me before, during and after the surgery. I had complications afterwards (nothing they caused at all) and the ladies there let me come in anytime I needed their assistance to help with managing the complications. Great experience. I had both lower wisdom teeth extracted by Dr.Tolley. I highly recommend him and his team for wisdom teeth extraction. I am healing very good and I am in little to no pain. 10/10 experience. Super fast in and out process and very professional. They take the extra steps to make you feel very comfortable and at ease.

Dr. Tolley remover my wisdom teeth back in January 2020. I used IV sedation due to my fear of needles. The staff and assisting dental students made sure I was comfortable. I was in and out in under 1 hour. I had no complications with my procedure. Would highly recommend Dr. Tolley for your oral surgery needs.

Any other surgeon would yielded better results. My injury never healed properly.

I don't recommend anyone going to this office for anything. I was overcharged for services and believe this staff is not honest about the the fees that they charge. Please find a different dentist office while you can.

Prior to surgery: Friendly staff, clean facility, nice surgeon. Explained everything I needed to know and had an easy scheduling process.

I would not go to any other OS. Dr. Tolley is awesome. A couple of years ago he had an (admin) assistant who wasn't doing her job very well but when he discovered her poor patient/customer service he immediately replaced her. Don't let one poor experience with ancillary staff ruin your opinion of the actual medical personnel. He is terrific, but he does keep you waiting a long time. The staff was very clear and warm in my experience. The doctor performance was great and professional. This has been one of the best dental experiences of my life!

No more welcome words exist for a patient to hear from his physician than "I'm finished." I was an oral surgery patient that morning 5 years ago. The compacted gum infection had reached baseball size. My decades long family dentist recoiled and instructed me to report at once on an oral surgeon colleague across town, Dentist #2 of 3 that morning, who had an identical reaction. Dentist #2 referred me to Dentist 3, Oral Surgeon Barrett Tolley. Competent, low key, fighter pilot kind of guy.

Wonderful. I have been in so much pain for several months and Dr. Tolley understood my circumstances and offered me relief within days. I really appreciate his willingness to help me.

I had a very serious head/facial injury in 2007. Dr Tolley took care of repairing my jaw & my eye socket. When he couldn't figure one of the problems with the opening of my mouth he used every avenue available to find the answer and fix the problem. I recommend Dr Tolley for any maxillofacial work needed.

We were a work in and they were extremely gracious about it, even though a Friday. Staff very nice and friendly. Staff seemed well organized and competent. Physician explained procedure well and we had an opportunity to ask any questions. Overall very good experience.

The office made the oral surgery speedy and very personable! Clear post-op instructions were given.

Never thought getting my tooth pulled would be a pleasant experience. The two concepts (tooth pulled and pleasant experience) just do not naturally go together. But Dr. Tolley and his team were just that, Absolutely Amazing and my experience was totally awesome!!!!!!!!! If you are reading this right now and you need to have your teeth pulled you will do yourself a disservice if you do not scheduled with Dr. Tolley! He is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

When asked questions... I had to answer questions to get mine answered

While sitting and waiting I heard the front desk person tell a mom who had brought her son i that their appointment had been cancelled. When she asked why, it was because three days before, they called the son’s cell phone (the wrong number, the mom said) and he didn’t answer, so they thought they should cancel. After the mom heads this, she was obviously frustrated. The girl at the desk was not apologetic at all, but just started looking up other days to schedule a new appointment 2 months from now. My appointment was pushed back 45 minutes, which i was told as i walked in, but only as an afterthought, and with no apology. When the front desk girl was asking me questions, she used a bunch of technical dentistry terms. when i explained i didn’t know what she meant, she very condescendingly explained. I apologized to her for not knowing the acronyms, but she never apologized for using them. Also, just in case they don’t tell you, like they didn’t tell me (though the desk girl assured me they did), full payment is required up front and they will not send you a bill, even though they sprang an extra x-ray procedure on me when i was checking in. The overall feel of the office staff is pretentiousness and condescension. They assume any problem is completely the patient’s fault. I’ve encountered service like this only a few times before (though never in the medical world), and usually this demeanor is a defense mechanism because they have made so many mistakes in the past. If i can’t trust the staff, i can’t trust the doctor, so i requested my file and left. i’ll find someone else to give my money to. I recently had my wisdom teeth extracted at Dr. Tolley's office. The initial consultation left me feeling very confident and comfortable with having the procedure done there. My overall experience was exactly the opposite. After waiting almost two and a half hours after my scheduled surgery time, I was given the instruction to call the office back if I needed any refills or experienced any abnormal pain after the estimated 3 days. After almost a week of unbearable, EXCRUCIATING pain, the doctor finally saw me, and sent me away after 5 minutes with the instructions "keep it more clean" and a stronger prescription. Not to mention I was never given the proper tools to keep my incisions clean. Nearing two weeks of the pain, the office denied me of an x-ray, and completely ruled out "dry socket". I was then informed that the doctor would be gone for two weeks, and would "maybe" be available to see me. Had I known this I would never had scheduled an appointment with him in that time frame. I had no other choice but to see a different doctor, and get a second opinion. The second office I saw was appalled, and immediately treated me for dry socket. The pain was resolved almost immediately, leaving the post-operative appointment at Dr. Tolley's office, pointless. I have received no phone calls from his office since, and upon cancelling my post-op appointment, was not asked for any reason why, and if I would like to reschedule. I do not doubt Dr. Tolley's surgical skills, nor would I rule him a bad doctor. However, I was treated more as a customer, and not a patient by him and his staff. After my consultation I was able to schedule an appointment the following week to get my wisdom teeth extracted. The nurses, staff, and Dr. Tolley were amazing. The next day they called to check on me. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend going to Dr. Tolley!

We love Dr. Barrett R. Tolley! He is an excellent surgeon. Dr. Tolley and his whole entire staff were always extremely professional, attentive, accommodating and very compassionate. They call and check on you...They make sure you are prepared before, during, and after surgery. My family was given updates every step of the way! He was amazing! I can't say anything negative about him and his office! Dr. Tolley took his time with us during surgery and each office visit and we knew what to expect from the beginning. I especially love how he was able to envision the outcome of my son’s surgery and stated "He is going to be alright" during our initial consultation. Dr. Tolley and his staff are amazing. They explained my oral surgery procedure in detail, thoroughly answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable pre and post op. Dr Tolley did excellent work and his dental assistants were very helpful and friendly. They even brought me a warm blanket when I was cold. I can not recommend them enough. Had a great consultation with Dr. Tolley and he was very friendly. They give you insurance details over the phone before you pay for it. I felt very comfortable when i got teeth extractions and had minimal complications. It was a good experience given that some dental offices I came across in the past were not professional.
