Being in the Healthcare field for 30 years and in a position of provider education I can say Dr Maximo represents everything a patient could ever hope for in a physician. He truly cares about his patients overall care, well being and end results above anything else. Our paths crossed by chance and I thank God everyday for placing him in my life. My story is complex but briefly put at 49 I was the picture of health and in one day my life turned upside down. For over a year I experienced dizziness, passing out, massive weight loss, and rapidly progressing neuropathy in all 4 limbs. My neuropathy was so bad I had to use a walker and my index finger and thumb in my dominant hand permanently curled. I had been shuffled from hospital to hospital, specialist to specialist with no one being able to figure out why. I was finally diagnosed with severe copper deficiency which is EXTREMELY RARE. Working with my hematologist on that issue I began trying to get my fingers fixed because it had become debilitating. Everyday that passed I was losing more and more function and it was only a matter of time before my other hand started to be affected. Dr Maximo’s was the 4th doctor I reached out to because he was an out of network provider on my insurance plan. I honestly believed when I called I would be told he wouldn’t see me for that reason because so many other doctors had rejected me based on my insurance. I called his office on a Tuesday at 4pm and was told he was out of network but then I was asked why I needed to be seen. During my emotional and desperate explanation I was placed on hold briefly then I was asked if I could be there at 10am the next morning. I felt a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I met Dr Maximo’s the next morning and from there he has done everything in his power to help me. Two days later I had an EMG done then Monday I had my first right hand surgery followed by my left hand 7 days later. Once I had healed the results of my fingers were not corrected so he performed an index finger and thumb nerve and tendon transfer surgery. He is a master at his craft. He cares about his patients and improving their quality of life more than any of the bureaucracy of the Healthcare industry. I can not imagine where I would be had I not seen him. One final comment I’d like to make is his staff I’d equally as professional and caring as he is. From his front office to his assistant you can tell they are all “family” and work to make the patience experience the best it can be ❤️❤️.

Wonderful experience from start to finish! Dr. Maximos and his staff made me feel completely comfortable. He is an incredible surgeon and not only is my elbow better but he patiently and kindly walked me through each step. He goes above and beyond to take the time to explain everything and answer your questions. I highly recommend him!!

I had been to three doctors prior to Dr. Maximos and all told me that my symptoms were “just part of getting older”. I’m only in my early 50’s. I met with Dr. Maximos and he instantly knew what was wrong with my hands and immediately offered me a solution and worked with my schedule to facilitate getting them healed! Dr. Maximos is not only amazing at what he does but he is very personal and genuinely cares about all of his patient’s well being. His support staff is equally as professional as he is and a pleasure to work with. In the fall of 2019 I had my first appointment and was diagnosed with Dupuytren's Cantracture and surgery was recommended (right hand). I agreed to a follow-up appointment early 2020. After we were went into lock down I made an appointment and surgery was scheduled for early May. I was assured recovery normally took 2 months. Surgery was done May 1, 2020. After bandage removed I was assigned to Houston Physicans' Hospital Webster, Tx for therapy. After several months of followup appointments and therapy I made the decision to change doctors and therapist January 2021. It has been (9) months and I still have very limited use of my hand. Doctor's opinion - arthritis in the hand and wrist is the cause of the pain. Prior to surgery, I was able to make a fist and do normal activities but as of current date I cannot make a fist and have limited usage of my right hand. I now wonder if I will ever have full usage of the right hand. I regret having surgery and now understand I would have been better served by not having surgery. I am in my late 70's and was active in many outdoor activities which I am now unable or barely able to do. At this time I also fear not ever gaining 100 percent usage of the hand. In the interim, my hunting guns, kayaks, fishing equipment and bikes and I sit idle. Dr. Maximos has taken care of me for carpal tunnel and my children for sports injuries and has been amazing! Quick recovery, great staff and always the best customer service. Would definitely return

He did not address the issue I have, instead wanted to perform unnecessary tests for an issue I do not even have. After a second opinion, this guy wanted my time and money.

Dr. Maximos was very attentive and helpful. He was able to diagnose the tendonitis in my finger when other doctors were not able to help at all. He was very thorough, and knowledgeable. I will be sure to see him for any other hand issues in the future!

Dr Maximos is the best. Hands down the most caring doctor I have ever met. He is also a Master if his craft. He is very professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Maximos is a very compassionate and professional surgeon. His staff makes you feel like you are the only patient there. I was very scared to allow anyone to look at my hand and wrist. This is because of past neglect of my injuries that caused my situation to be very challenging. But Dr. Maximos calmed my fears and fixed both issues and restored my trust in the medical community. He thoroughly explained the pros and cons of each procedure. And I am on my way to a great recovery. Thank you Dr. Maximos and staff

Dr Maximos took the time to listen to me when I first came in. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I did not feel like I was being rushed and he took his time with me and really explained what was going on with me to where I was able to understand. I needed surgery and that whole experience went great. Everyone was very nice and thoughtful. It was my first surgery and they made me feel very comfortable and relaxed about having it done. The post-op visits have been great too.

Dr. Maximos and his staff were excellent! He really put me at ease with his confidence in the procedures that were to be performed as well as answering all my questions. The relief received after the surgeries was life changing! I would like to thank him for giving me my hands back. I would recommend him to anybody and will definitely seek him out in the future.

Dr. Maximos has been a great help in figuring out what the issue with my hand injury was. He tried every method available to try and correct my injury before surgery was an option. In the end he corrected the problem and I am happy with his services.

I had a broken wrist that had been undiagnosed for 43 years. After getting a couple of "no way I'm touching that" from other Drs., Dr. Maximos agreed to see what he could do. The surgery went well and after a 6 month healing time my wrist was pain free for the first time in 43 years! He is very clear and explains things very well. I went to my family doctor some time later and he took one look at the x-ray and said 'the guy that did that really knows his stuff!"

Dr. Maximos is very good at his craft. He explains the issues that you are dealing with, how he can or cannot fix them and then takes care of business. The girls at his office are very nice and very competent in their jobs. They also fill out the necessary paperwork for your work and return to work doctor in a very timely manner so that you don't have worry about calling and having to remind them. All you have to be concerned with is getting well after surgery. I would recommend him!!

I highly recommend Dr Baher Maximos and his staff for minimally invasive carpal tunnel surgery. Dr Maximos is very courteous, competent, and professional. He puts you at ease during your appointments and he takes time to explain the procedures and the expected outcome. The nurses and receptionists are very friendly and helpful. I had surgery on my right and left hand 12 days apart. To my surprise, I was able to use my hands for daily light activities soon after the dressings were removed. I am 9 and 7 weeks post-op. The scars are hardly visible and my hands have good grip strength. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my surgeries. If you have carpal tunnel this is the doctor to see! I was nervous and not sure of what to expect but I received friendly, courteous and the best medical treatment from the front desk attendant, medical assistant and Dr. Maximos! I had surgery on both my left and right hand with two months apart and both hands are healing great! Dr. Maximos takes time with you and have the best bedside manners. He is simply The Best at what he do and can be trusted as your surgeon!
