I’ve been to 5 Allergists in 11 years due to moves. I would rate this office last in overall experience when considering front desk staff, wait times, billing, nurses (except for one) and the doctor himself. Our visits with Dr. Alshaar were a let down. The first visit was brief and during that time I felt rushed while trying to give him a background history of my daughters food allergies + eczema journey. The overall feeling was that he didn’t care to listen nor did he provide much feedback. The Hispanic nurse was great and honestly the only reason they didn’t get a 1 star review. She was warm, friendly and professional. My daughter was nervous about testing and she did a good job trying to put her mind at ease while still getting the testing done quickly and efficiently. She was the reason we went back a second time and gave Dr. Alshaar another opportunity. Unfortunately, I got the same feelings the second time around. I inquired about Dupixent and feedback was minimal and “it’s up to you”. There seemed to be little interest or genuine concern for the patient, just quick to suggest allergy shots for environmental allergies + Dupixent. He also didn’t seem confident in regards to food challenges for food allergies. This is also the first office that doesn’t give out LAMP forms. That was odd to me. They required a 2nd visit just for me to sign a form for Dupixent where my previous allergist processed everything without an office visit. To me this is a convenient way to charge patients more $$ for a quick unnecessary office visit. There is another nurse that often works front desk (white/blonde hair) who was always in a bad mood. We all have our off days, but we did two office visits and I went back several times to drop off, pick up and get school paperwork corrected and called with questions. Every interaction with her was unpleasant. Her demeanor is rude as if she’s unhappy to be working there. Lastly, billing is a NIGHTMARE! I’ve never paid so much money for allergy visits/testing. They are unorganized and shady. Their statements never reflect the payments you’ve already made and they send random charges and “balances” months later. For example on 1/27/23 I got another $202 bill saying it was from our 08/02/2022 visit (almost 6 months later). I had already paid off both visits and that was a process and then I get another random charge?! I called billing and asked them to send a breakdown of all the charges and what I received was not clear in the slightest. It is a long list of charges and adjusted credits/payments that make no sense. My insurance didn’t make any payments because we had not met our deductible, so it shouldn’t have been difficult to process. The ledger did not reflect my payment totals correctly. It seems that they are trying to get away with charging more than their contracted rates and I have reached out to my insurance to get clear information. EDITED TO ADD: I followed your recommendation and called the # below. The person who answered the phone had no understanding or knowledge of what I was referring to and proceeded to forward me to same billing department.

I never realized that there was a decent physician's office out there. I always clump them all into the same category. Mostly rushed, attitudes and inattentiveness. I was definitely impressed with this office. Dr. Alshaar is amazing and his staff could not have been any nicer or more helpful. Dr. spent a great deal of time asking and answering all of my questions so I was able to leave with a sense of accomplishment. Now if only I could find a primary doctor that can hold a flame to these guys.....

Best doctor in Spring Hill and Brooksville! Not only because he is an allergist specialty but he is truly a caring doctor who gives his best for children and adults alike. He knows his meds very well and i know he tries his best not to put you in harms way when it comes to prescribing meds unless you really need them. Thumbs up for Dr Alshaar???????????? Dr. Alshaar is an amazing, knowledgeable, caring physician. He is extremely good with both kids and adults.All his patients speak highly of him. Her has a professional very efficient friendly staff. I highly recommend Dr. Alshaar without any reservation.

Dr. Alshaar is a truly amazing doctor and treats my son like his own. He is very caring and attentive to all of our questions. He takes the time to listen and provide professional feedback. We have always found a solution and look forward to our upcoming appointments. His staff is amazing and always wear smiles ready to help. His office is clean and well kept. We have always been able to get appointments right away or reschedule without a struggle. Great allergist and office staff. Very attentive. Spent a lot of time asking and answering questions that I had. Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend to anyone.

My experience with Dr. Alshaar was superb. Dr. Alshaar is a very caring, attentive doctor (which is hard to find nowadays). His staff is amazing, they go above and beyond for their patients. If I could give this office 10 stars I would.

First time visiting an allergist. Went to the office for Asthma symptoms, and I couldn't have been happier with the attention and treatment received. Dr. Alshaar has a great personality (hard to find nowadays), and was very thorough with my examination. His nurse, or medical assistant was great as well!

A wonderful office staff and a well versed doctor make this facility a top notch office for children!

Amazing physician and staff. Wait times are practically non existent and Dr. Alshaar spent a lot of time explaining everything to me. Great bedside manner. The office staff is very efficient and courteous.

I am a Snowbird and brought an annoying sinus infection down from the North. I found Dr Alshaar on the internet. Due to a cancellation I was able to get in for an appointment the next day. From my first contact with the office , I found the entire staff to be courteous, caring and very professional . After some initial testing , Dr Alshaar was able to diagnose and treat my allergy related condition, after 2 days I am feeling much better. Thank you Dr. Alshaar and your entire staff. Dr Alshaar is truly a specialist in his field and more. He is also very down to earth kind of Doctor and cares for his patients sincerely. My family has been seeing him for years. He had practically saved my husband's life. My husband had a bad long cough spells which a couple of MD told him it was just a cold and cough. Prescribed cough meds. He did nt get well after a while and went to another doctor who also said he had sinus infection and told him to use steam and take over the counter cold meds. We decided to go to Dr Alshaar since he is so good with my daughters asthma issues. Well, after doing a thorough check and concerned, he told my husband he it was whooping cough. After being prescribed two course of strong antibiotics and follow ups, my husband's whooping cough almost immediately got better. The whooping coughs was very bad and it was heartbreaking for me to witness what my husband had to go through. Thank you Dr Alshaar. One of the best doctors and staff in the area!! They were able to get me an appointment right away. When I got to the office, I was immediately treated like a part of the family. His staff is very caring and compassionate and made me feel right at home. After only about a 5-10 minute wait, I was brought in to see Dr. Alshaar. Not only did he spend a great deal of time asking and answering my questions, he performed a thorough exam and took the time to explain my condition and my treatment options. Dr Alshaar has always been efficient and a really experienced doctor. He is the one kind of doctor who take heart to his patients. And took his time to find out what is wrong with his patient. My husband had whooping coughs and his regular MD told him it was a sinus infection and gave him antibiotics. No results & went to another doctor. Was told it was just a coughing due to allergy. In the end he saw Dr Alshaar. Dr Alshaar took efforts to observed and found out that my husband had whooping cough ( pertussis ) and immediately put him on the right antibiotics. And follow ups. If its not for Dr Alshaar., I wouldn't dare guess where my husband Wil be today. He lost 20 lbs fr this illness. And every time he coughs, he would be gasping for air. My daughter who has asthma is also under his care since we moved here 6 years ago. Thank you Dr Alshaar! For being that truly caring doctor. In this day and time., it is rare to come across really good and caring doctors..& you're one of them! Dr Alshaar has always been efficient and a really experienced doctor. My son has been seeing Dr. Alshaar for over 15 years. He is a wonderful physician and my son is very comfortable with him. He is caring and compassionate and has a fantastic bedside manner. He takes the time to explain everything to us and answers all of our questions. His staff is wonderful. They are very friendly and will go out of their way to help with anything that I ask. This is truly one of very few offices that are friendly are caring. Would recommend to anyone!

Dr. Alshaar is a good dr. but that's only if you can get the front end people to answer the phone !! I left 3 messages in 2 weeks. I had to get nasty on the last message and low and behold that when they called me. I'm furious !!
