Dr. Burnett saved my life with the surgery he performed. I knew I was in good hands as soon as I met him. He explained in honest detail what he was going to do. He did such a great job that my recovery time beat all expectations. He followed up his work with great post surgical care. His PAs, partners, nurses and entire staff were excellent. Every staff member knew my condition and situation. Every time I had a question, it was answered promptly and accurately. Anyone that gets Dr. Burnett for their surgeon is truly blessed.

Dr. Burnett was very knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining procedures and what needed to be done to myself and my wife. His staff was great at responding to questions and resolving issues that came up with the home health care nurses. Prior to meeting Dr. Burnett and his staff for the first time -- my cancer doctor and he had already reviewed my case to make a determination whether I was a good candidate for surgery. During the pre-surgery visit - Dr. Burnett and his staff were very thorough in what the surgery and subsequent recovery would entail -- including hand drawn diagrams of what would be done -- They did not rush through the visit and made sure that all the questions that my wife and I had were answered -- Which made the decision to go through with the surgery much easier. During post surgical office visits - Dr. Burnett would take the time to ensure he gave my wife updates on my status. I would highly recommend Dr. Burnett to anyone.

Saw Dr. Burnett first for a consult and then for surgery to remove a tumor.

Dr.Burnett was very knowledgeable and always let me know what procedures that he was going to do and always answered all my questions.

Initial consult on 2/14/22 for liver mass found in PET scan. Additional testing was recommended before proceeding with tumor removal. Ultimately liver reception occurred on 3/28/22. l understood reason for upper GI and Colonoscopy to rule out widespread cancer/to find possible primary source but felt this was brought up abruptly and so matter of factly that I felt a little blindsided. I come prepared with questions and at times felt a little rushed. That said, all my questions were answered thoroughly by either the PA (Maggie) or Dr Burnett. Because the pathology results were not cut and dry and led me to have many questions, I think a call fro Dr. Burnett vs a PA would have been more appropriate.

Dr. Burnett is an excellent doctor and surgeon. He is very knowledgeable, capable, caring, and listens to his patients. Together, we figured out the best course of action for my condition, and the surgery went as planned without a hitch. I consider myself lucky to have him as my doctor and have no qualms about recommending him to anybody.

Dr Burnett is very personable and professional. He even took a call from me on a weekend and was very pleasant and courteous.

From the moment we had the opportunity to meet Dr Burnett we felt that he was genuinely concerned about our questions, had my husband's best interest in mind, and that we were important to him. Dr Burnett is humble and sought counsel from a multitude of doctors. He spent as much time with us as we needed. We were never rushed along. He was always accessible. He's a fantastic surgeon with so much knowledge. I'm so thankful he was in charge of my husband's difficult case.

Dr. Burnett and his team did liver surgery on me. From his staff of nurses, the PA’s and especially Dr. Burnett are the most professional and caring people I’ve ever met. Dr Burnett explained everything he was going to do. Follow up care was exemplary. I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out.

My mom who is 85 needed major surgery, removal of a large tumor and possibly some internal organs. Dr. Burnett Got me in to see him quickly--He diagnosed my cancer --gave me the options--Ended up with a surgical procedure and removal of my problem--He and his staff had great follow up. I would recommend Dr Burnett .

Dr. Burnett spent the necessary time to explain options prior to surgery. After surgery he kept close watch on progress of healing. While I was recovering in the Hospital his entire team of Ben and Maggie displayed competence and compassion.

Dr. Burnett performed surgery to remove a Pancreatic Neuroendocrine tumor. In the appointments prior to surgery, Dr. Burnett was always clear and thorough in explaining the situation, next steps, and overall plan. Post-surgery, Dr. Burnett and the PAs checked in daily during the hospital stay, always keeping us informed and answering questions.

Was hospitalized last year for Necrotizing Pancreatitis at Froedert Hospital, thought they had addressed the problem & I was getting better, but this Spring started feeling worse & worse, couldn’t eat, lost 40 pounds in a month. Dr Burnett diagnosed a fistula in the colon & recommended surgery to correct it. The 6 hour surgery was certainly scary, but it was that or not surviving. Now 5 weeks later I think I have turned the corner! The abdominal pain has decreased considerably. I have gained 20 pounds & can enjoy eating again. I am looking forward to being myself again. Dr Burnett always takes the time to explain things thoroughly, including diagrams. Dr Burnett is exceptionally qualified. Dr Burnett, I trust him with my life.

I am the daughter of a surgery patient of Dr Burnett. He performed a complicated surgery on my mom and did a great job. He came in every day until she was released which was way later than expected (owing to her age and other issues). He was extremely patient and took time to fully explain everything that confused us. We always had a list of questions and he stuck with us until we were satisfied. He is calm and kind and you can tell the nurses with whom he works also respect him.

Dr. Burnett performed my Sigmoid via laparoscopy. I found Dr. Burnett to be very pleasant and personable. During my initial consultation I came prepared with a laundry list of questions. Dr. Burnett put me at ease, told me not to worry about time and answered all my questions. About a week later I was still uneasy with things and met Dr. Burnett again. I entered my second consultation with fear and anger around what I gathered to be an unnecessary surgery that would impact the quality of my life. I was completely wrong. In a very personable manner, Dr. Burnett explained why my thinking was wrong and why the treatment standards are as they are. He took the time to login into the national cancer treatment database and show me why surgery was needed by pointing to very specific language in my pathology report. I entered the consultation with rebellious mindset, but I left asking how soon we could schedule the surgery. The surgery itself went as planned.

He was extremely professional and walked me through each step that had to take place from start to finish. I met Dr. Burnett a few days after colonoscopy confirmed I had colon cancer at age 49. Dr. Burnett was able to do a laparoscopic anterior colon resection (largest incision is about 2 inches long). I was in the hospital for 3 days— no tube in my nose, no drains pinned to a hospital gown. I was able to wear pajama pants in the hospital with a button down shirt. Because of COVID precautions, Dr. Barnett met with my husband in the hospital parking area to talk with him after my surgery rather than giving the news on the phone (so awesome.) I saw Dr. Burnett every day I was in the hospital and his PA, Sofia visited me too. I was walking 3 hours after recovery room and I walked 3 miles on post op day 11. Several skilled surgeons in Greeley are trained to do colon resection. Dr Burnett, is the only one in Greeley that is specially trained to do a laparoscopic colon resection. I am cancer free with a projected 90% cure projection. Dr. Burnett is a rock star and his nurse Shelly is too!

I met Dr. Burnett fall, 2019 to discuss my surgery needs to remove several GIST tumors. Along with my oncologist we formulated a treatment plan of chemo first to shrink the tumors and then proceed with surgery. My surgery was Feb. 12. 2020. I am now recovering beautifully at home. Dr. Burnett treats the patient both physically and mentally well and never rushes you and gives complete straightforward answers. I really feel very confident in my physician and highly recommended him.

We were very impressed with Dr Burnett from the beginning when my husband was sent to the OR to have a port-a-cath put in for his cancer treatments. Dr Burnett also saw the need to have a feeding tube put in as the cancer had made it impossible for my husband to eat and was rapidly losing weight. We immediately knew we were in good hands. When my husband developed complications and was hospitalized for a few weeks’ Dr Burnett went above and beyond to get the care my husband needed to recover; it was like having your own personal doctor. We have been with Dr. Burnett for a year now and couldn’t be more happy and thankful with the care and extreme concern he has had did my father Sonja Edwards. My father was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the stomach in July of 2018 and we had a follow up visit just today September 19, 2019 and he is finally healing wonderfully. In the past year he has had his full stomach removed, had sepsis and numerous hospital stays from Dec 2018 through June 2019.
