This man is dangerous. He botched my surgery and tried to cover it up. I came to him because I broke my wrist. He caused a pinch nerve and when I informed him of the pain I was experiencing he caused me of seeking pain medication. After several months of the problem not goin away and thousands of dollars in PT. I sought another doctor at the Mayo Clinic. I was told by the doctor at the Mayo Clinic that Dr. Mohty is known to make errors and is not ethical. I had surgery at the Mayo and immediately felt better upon waking up. Dr. Mohty operated on my thumb about a decade ago. I'm an author and my thumb is needed to work. Not only did he fix the problem, but my thumb is perfect now. Dr. Mohty has excellent bedside manner and I recommend him highly.

I had been looking around for a hand surgeon and happened to ask my daughter how her experience was. She loved him. I had a similar experience when he did my thumb surgery. He is a one man show. Very personable. He offers you explanations and shows pictures of the the affected area. If you do not understand, he does not hesitate to explain it another way. He is a doctor who loves his craft. Easy to talk to. Would highly recommend him if you are looking for a hand surgeon.

I was very happy with the service I received from Dr. Mohty and his friendly office staff. It has been a year after my wrist surgery and it has healed nicely with no pain now. He cares about his patients and it shows. Wonderful sense of humor as well. Thank you Dr. Mohty!

Best surgeon in the valley.

Recently had Trigger Thumb Release by Dr Atef Mohty. He takes his time to explain in detail the problem and the surgical procedure to fix it. He is very professional, excellent surgeon, and a joy to talk to. Definitely recommend Dr Atef Mohty!!!

I have dupuytren’s disease and 4 years ago Dr Mohty performed surgery. He leaves the wound open so that during the healing process the hand can extend and flex. It might take a little longer to heal but I have complete use and no restrictions. It went so well that I just did my other hand 4 weeks ago. It is going very well. We feel you have constantly acted above and beyond what was expected, and we think you are wonderful. The treatment you have given Jerry has always been successful and has given him much relief from pain and discomfort over the years. Dr Mohty diagnosed my wrist fracture after a local imaging radiologist said there was no fracture. If not for Dr. Mohty's expertise and knowledge there is a chance my wrist could have been damaged even more. Dr. Mohty and Angela are the best. It's refreshing to have such great medical care. Dr. Mohty is the greatest hand doctor you could ever see! My wife had Carpal Tunnel in both hands. What a delightful experience! 90 days into a data entry position, I developed incredibly amazing pain and loss of motion in my right hand. I was able to get an appointment within a few days. The young woman in the front office was helpful and sympathetic. Dr. Mohty was very thorough in his exam and fortuantely was able to prescribe a very conservative course of treatment. Which worked beautifully within several days. He listened closely to my concerns. Made sure I understood everything he was explaining to me. Has great visual aids to "show and tell". I won't be back, but only because he did such a great job the first time. My experience with Dr. Mohty, his staff and colleagues was fabulous! Dr. Mohty is extremely knowledgeable and makes one feel very comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. My mother has had numerous procedures with him too and recommends him as well.

Dr. Mohty is ready to retire. He was not interested in my hand problem. He asked questions, then didn’t listen to the answer. He talked over my responses. He could not recommend anything to help me. The visit was a complete waste of time.

Can't speak highly enough of Dr. Mohty. I went in a few weeks ago with pain in my left ring finger. I was told there was multiple cyst that needed to be removed. Scheduled surgery and 2 weeks later I'm 100%. Also, the office and receptionist where fantastic as well! Would highly recommend!!

I met Dr. Mohty in the late 90's after my brother was seriously injured in a near-fatal car accident. While other doctors opted for amputation of the arm, Dr. Mohty pieced his arm/hand back together like a jigsaw puzzle. Today, although scarred, my brother has a full functioning arm and hand. His arm/hand are functional due to the expertise of this professional and caring doctor. Since the 90's, my mother has been a two time patient (carpal tunnel) as well as my husband (broken hand due to a crazy broomball incident!) This year, it was "my turn." I needed a basal joint arthoplasty surgery. I would trust no one else with this task. Dr. Mohty was able to give me the function and take the pain away from my dominant hand. Dr. Mohty is an excellent surgeon. I had my right hand opertated on for carpal tunnel syndrome and will have the left hand done this week. He is very professional as is his receptionist, Angela. I am very pleased with the results of my surgery.

I cannot recommend Dr. Mohty too highly. I came to him six months ago with a broken scaphoid bone that had gone untreated for months. Dr. Mohty took the time to accurately assess the damage -- he does all his X-rays himself -- as well as to get to know me as a patient. I have never had any doctor take so much time to talk with me and educate me on my injuries as well as treatment options. And this education is done in a non-condescending, friendly manner, unlike the typical stereotype of a surgeon. After discussing the options, I was given a choice of surgery or a cast. I chose the surgery. Six months post-surgery, my wrist has healed well, and I am more than satisfied with the results. Dr. Mohty is very conservative in his approach. Do not expect that he will recommend surgery for every patient. If you are headstrong, stubborn, and believe you know better than your doctors, you are better off going to someone else. The key to successful results with Dr. Mohty is to listen to and follow his advice to the letter. Dr. Mohty is excellent, one of the best! He is very personable, communicative, and pays a lot of attention to detail with his patients questions and needs. He makes sure you fully understand everything he tells you and that you have no unanswered questions. We felt extremely comfortable with him. He performed surgery on my wife's wrist and the whole process was handled extremely professionally and we are so pleased with the results!

Four weeks ago I had a trigger finger fixed and an old ganglion removed on my right hand and wrist by Dr. Mohty. He explained everything that he needed to do and even drew a picture for me! He is the best. Would recommend him to anyone with a hand problem. He takes his time with you and really explains very clearly what needs to be done. I never felt rushed and he always answered all my questions.

Dr Mohty operated on a trigger finger on my right hand 9 years ago with excellent results. I recently had two trigger fingers on my left hand that were also operated on by Dr Mohty. Once again with great results. The Doc is a master of his craft. I would not go to any other Doctor for hand issues. I highly recommend Dr Mohty.

Was very impressed with Dr Mohty as a Dr and surgeon. I thought I might of waited too long for the carpal tunnel surgery to work. But luckily my surgery went very well. I had carpal tunnel surgery in November on my right hand and will have surgery on my left hand next week. Dr. Mohty and his office scheduler, Angela were very professional and thorough in explanation of the surgery and what to expect in recovering. My hand has very little scarring and I was able to go about my usual routine after a week. No pain. I think Dr. Mohty did an excellent job. My appointments were always on time.

Fantastic experience with Dr. Mohty. He is extremely well informed and took time to cover everything to make sure I understood my condition completely. He explained several options, listed both positives and negatives for each and provided reasons why one was best for my condition. The steps he outlined were very clear and everything was done as scheduled. By following his instructions the the recovery time and outcome were even better than expected. I would recommend Dr. Mohty to anyone.

Dr. Mohty removed a tumor from my long finger and I am totally pleased with the results. Because I followed his instructions, I had no post surgical pain and no need for pain pills. He set me up with a physical therapist and to date I have regained nearly all of the previous mobility in my finger. Dr. Mohty inspires trust and confidence, truly cares for his patients and is a very dedicated professional. He is an awesome surgeon and I am sincerely grateful for what he has done for me.

My PCP recommended Dr. Mohty for a “tendon release”. My first visit was for a consultation. My wife accompanied me. We found Dr. Mohty (and his staff) very friendly. He gave me 3 options: 1) Cortisone injections, 2) do nothing, or 3) Tendon Release surgery. 5 months later, I had the Tendon Release procedure. It was done in a top-quality surgery center. He lived up to his ratings. He treats his patients as his friends. He is sociable and humorous. I highly recommend Dr. Mohty.

I recently had right hand long finger "Trigger Finger" surgery. I received my referral from my wife, Dr. Mohty had treated her in 2002 with great success. I must say he is a true professional and expert in his field. He explained my treatment, surgery, and followup thoroughly. I would highly recommend Dr. Mohty.

Dr Mohty is extremely skillful in the art and science of healing. From his courteous staff to the care he took in the diagnostic process, listening and explaining conditions and treatment options, my experience in treating what was quite painful tendinitis was literally a quick relief. I found Dr. Mohty to be honest, direct, perceptive of my needs as a patient and was grateful to be treated immediately once a diagnosis was confirmed. I confidently recommend Dr. Mohty.

This is the second time I have had Dr. Mohty operate on my thumb, I had another giant cell tumor taken out of my thumb about 7 years ago. Dr. Mohty is fun to talk to, a great surgeon, and he has a cool accent. I would not hesitate to send family members to Dr. Mohty. He is caring, extremely competent, deeply invested in his patients welfare and a perfectionist. His Officer Manager, Angela, is friendly, efficient, kind and caring. I have had 3 surgeries from Dr. Mohty on both hands and in each case, the outcome has been exceptional. I have a job that is very physical and the relief from pain is wonderful. You cannot even see where the surgical scars are. He is very personable and takes the time to listen to your concerns and explain the procedure. I had to have surgery prior to Christmas due to insurance issues and he came in to do my surgery on his scheduled time off. I was the only surgery scheduled for that day. He then came in for my follow up appointment on his holiday, just to make sure that my Christmas would be pain-free and pleasant. I have never found it necessary to take the pain relievers he prescribed. If you follow his instructions to the letter, you will not have any issues. His personal contact is to me, quite extraordinary. On the evening prior to my last surgery, he called me at home to let me know that the anesthesiologist that he normally used was not available. He did not want to use someone else and explained that he could do the surgery using numbing agents and wanted to know my thoughts. I would be awake throughout the procedure. I elected to go through with the surgery and found it to be even more insightful as to his competence. His surgical team spoke to me when he was not in the room and they were all very complimentary and called him a "genius". When he was performing the surgery, he spoke to me often, checking on my comfort and welfare. I was apprehensive prior to going in, as I had never been awake during a surgery, but when I mentioned this to Dr. Mohty, he replied, "well, I am not nervous and since I am the one doing the surgery, you have nothing to worry about." His sense of humor is delightful and certainly helped in alleviating my fears. His surgical technique is flawless, he takes the time to get to know you, he is a perfectionist and has been rated a Top Doc. This is the only Dr. I would want to work on my hands. I was impressed by was Dr. Mohty's punctuality. Since the human hand is nature's most precise instrument, I took this to be a positive indicator of his precision and thoroughness of expertise. Do I focus too much on small things? Maybe, but this is what made me comfortable. I also liked the way he explained the condition of my wrist, my options for treatment, and his expectations following the procedure. His office and exam rooms were clean and his staff is polite and very professional.

When I called his office, his front office person was cordial, knowledgeable, efficient and professional. Dr. Mohty was kind and took the time to not only diagnose my problem but showed me xrays of mine & of his own hands for comparisons. He took the time to explain what I had and my options. He does not promote surgery just for surgery sake and offers referrals to other doctors who one might choose to used. When/if I ever have to have hand surgery, he will be the surgeon I call.

Dr. Mohty is a very knowledgeable and friendly. I took his time explaining what could be wrong with the nerves. He personally took the hands x-ray to insure accuracy. Dr. Mohty recently repaired my trigger thumb. He also did surgery on my wife a year ago. He is a great doctor with great customer service.

Dr. Mohty is a one person office so when you see him you have his complete attention. I appreciate his straightforwardness and knowledge of how you need to be helped. He's very patient and is willing to explain his treatments. His front desk is always very helpful as well.

Dr. Mohty is kind, generous with his time, and a consummate expert. He went out of his way to make sure I understood what was happening with my hand and answered all of my many questions. I am a very athletic woman in my 50's and was suffering from arthritis in my hand and wrist. I lift weights, box, do yoga, crossfit and martial arts. I could hardly function and was looking for relief. He took my situation very seriously and performed the surgery and got my in to rehab asap. I recommend him to everyone. He is fabulous. I went to Dr. Mohty for a second opinion given an initial physician recommended surgery for a fractured finger. Dr. Mohty determined surgery was not necessary. Instead the treatment was a splint and competent occupational therapy in addition to weekly to biweekly visits to Dr. Mohty who expertly monitored progress. Two months later no further treatment was needed. Dr. Mohty is extremely knowledgeable, professional and dedicated to excellence in addition to being caring and conscientious.

My 12 year old daughter had injured her finger in PE at school. I was able to book an appt. with Dr. Mohty within the next day. He and his staff were very professional and friendly. The wait time was minimal and when we were called back he saw us right away. He took his time with us and not only treated my daughter's finger, but educated us as well with the type of fracture she had. I would highly recommend Dr. Mohty for any hand injury.

I went to see Dr. Mohty after breaking my finger --- He was awesome in saving me from having to do surgery, Dr. Mohty reffered me to a great Hand Physical Therapist and they worked side by side to get me back to a 100%...Dr. Mohty was great in educating me on every step of the way and making sure I stuck to his methods of treatments. Also, the staff was great and flexible in every aspect!!

Dr. Mohty takes his profession very seriously and has treated me as if I was his only patient every appointment I have had with him over the recovery of my fractured finger. He was open to all my questions and answered them all in a very friendly and understandable manner. 10/10 would recommend! The man is quality!

My daughter broke her finger and we were referred to Dr Mohy. After waiting for over an hour to see Dr Mohty, he did not listen and talked over myself. Additionally the information he gave us on how to treat my daughter ended up being incorrect as we left and saw a different doctor. My daughter received better care and her finger is now healed. After leaving Dr Mohty she was scared and crying as he made us believe she would have a deformed finger. His bedside manner is terrible.

Dr. Mohty is the finest hand surgeon in our community. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and attentive to the patient's needs. He listens very carefully and exercises good judgment in patient care. I would recommend him to all my family and friends. Dr. Mohty possesses surgical skills in hand surgery that very few doctors have.

My husband and I love Dr. Mohty! Angela at the front desk is amazing as well, she is very helpful. Dr. Mohty was incredibly attentive and made both my husband and myself very comfortable with the procedure to be performed. My husband needed surgery on his wrist and Dr. Mohty performed it expertly. We would definitely go back if needed.

I just recently had carpal tunnel surgery. Dr Mohty was very professional and caring. He explained what he was going to be doing from start to finish. He made me feel very comfortable through the whole process. I would recommend him to anyone. In fact, I will be going back for the other hand very soon. :)

Dr. Mohty was wonderful from start to finish! He is a perfectionalist which instills a confidence in his ability and skills as a doctor. Dr. Mohty was very compassionate to my needs and concerned with my treatment, surgery and recovery. I was in excellent hands. My hand after carpel tunnel surgery seems to be getting better, hasn't returned to 100% but I am hopeful. Thank you Dr. Mohty for your wonderful care.
