The worst … she uses hypnosis to get you to sign surgical consent . If she comes in crying run. She removed my thyroid and never checked if I was a surgical candidate , never advising me of the issues I could face only saying you just take a pill. She’s a horrible and her only interest is monetary gain . Stay away from this physician , stay away from Aurora. I was in perfect health until seeing this Dr later finding out I didn’t need my thyroid removed .

Stay away from Aurora , Dr Ashley Cayo is targeting elderly black Americans and doing unjustified surgical procedures thyroidectomies. She is using hypnosis to get people to sign surgical contracts for removal of your thyroid r . She came in the office in tears , got close to me and that’s all I remember . Stay away from this physician .she will also say all you have to do is take a pill after surgery . This is not true , there are many side affects to this medication . She made no attempt to educate me on thyroid medication and made no attempt to determine if I was a surgical candidate . I later found out I did not need the surgery .

Stay away from this physical snd if referral decline . She’s horrible , she did not explain what to expect post surgery , challenges etc this is to discourage refusal to have surgery . She will offer no other options and deny any potential problems. My thyroid was removed and did not have to come out. Do not trust this physician. When informing her of what I found on internet , she said stay off the internet. Run from this physician she does not have you at her best interest only interested in the money.

Was my surgeon for thyroid cancer. Took time to explain everything and make sure I understood. Was always available to answer any follow-ups. Great demeanor, would ask for this Dr again, if need be.
