My mother was referred to Dr. Patel after her previous surgeon intensified her wrist pain and kept going in circles. Dr. Patel thoroughly explained the situation in simple terms which enabled me and my mother to fully understand the situation for the first time. He then suggested a surgery. He reiterated several time to completely follow his directions. My mother carefully followed his advice. After the surgery, my mother has never even once complained about her wrist pain. He has completely eradicated her pain. I am glad my mother was referred to Dr. Patel after she suffered with that other surgeon. She wanted me to write this review on her behalf as she has difficulties with technology. I saw another review which does not seem to genuine as my experience with Dr. Patel excels beyond the rating scale on this site. All know is I would definitely recommend Dr. Patel to everyone I know.

Dr. Patel is amazing! I am writing this review on behalf of my mother. She asked me to write a review as she does not feel any pain after the ankle replacement surgery. After diligently following his directions, she can now finally get on about her day. She can now drive without pain and is grateful for him. She even calls him an magician as he eradicated her ankle pain in just 6 weeks. He is very kind, understanding, compassionate and detailed orientated. Last but not least he transcendences as a surgeon.

Dr. Patel is one of the most incredible doctors. He built me a new foot. I was unable to walk for about 2 years due to damage to my foot. I didn't think it was going to be able to be repaired. It took Dr. Patel 6 hours non-stop surgery, amazing individual. The results are I have a new foot, everything went better than expected. I have to say, "you must follow directions for healing," there is no "No" I can't or you sabotage your own healing. He does know best, it was the hardest recovery I have ever had to do, 3 months in bed with foot above my heart, "why" you ask, that's what the doctor said. I didn't like it, but God Bless Him and his family. What a true medical miracle. Thank you Doctor Patel for a new lease on life. You too can have a new foot, give him a call. Had right hand surgery that was hurting since July he took his time to find out what was actually wrong and fixed it. He was very nice and explained everything so I understand what to expect . I would definitely recommend him for anything to do with hand problems.

Dr. Patel is just wonderful to say the least. He explains things in detail and understandable. He has a fantastic bed side manner and always courteous.

The treatment I received was fantastic. I would recommend him to my family without hesitation.

I understand that physicians and nurses have to interrupt people at times to get to the nitty gritty of pertinent information, because we rarely need someone’s entire life story. This being said, being ignorant, arrogant, and dismissive every time your patient speaks is incredibly disrespectful, especially when they’re trying to give you important details. I’ve had numerous surgeries during my life, but Dr. Patel of Penn Highlands orthopedics takes the cake for being the worst physician I have ever had the displeasure dealing with. After 7 months with a debilitating injury, and three months of only being tortured and financially crippled by his unnecessarily brutal assessment practices and unnecessary tests, studies and exams, I will never recommend this individual to anyone I care about, and can only hope he remembers patients are already suffering when they come to see him, and being a jerk and further delaying their treatment only makes their pain and suffering worse.
