Arlene Morales

I would not recommend this place or Dr Morales. She is a very cold person and to me, come across as a money maker. She doesn't care about her patients. She has no interest in possible underlying issues that might be the root cause to infertility. She will run all the tests she can - whether they matter or not. The clinic is also extremely disorganized, they would reach out for my credit card weekly, and every call I had with Dr Morales we repeatedly talked about the same thing over and over again - followed by "1 more test". Somehow, that was always the solution. Yet, when I had to cancel a call to review my MRI I never heard anything back from Dr Morales or her staff. I had at that point, taken all the tests I could possible take. I guess it makes sense for them to not connect again... Not only did I have a bad experience, many people that I came in touch with during my time as a patient would express their dislike of this place as well. Very sad as infertility is hard as it is. Very friendly staff. Dr. Shelly and her team we’re always on time and made everything go seamlessly. Pregnant at first IVF. Couldn’t ask for more.

All I can say is Dr Morales and her team are the best! I’ve been to both location, San Diego and Carlsbad and everyone is so wonderful. Dr Morales explained everything in detailed to me and made me feel very comfortable. She has a very good sense of humor as well. I just had the transfer and I feel very good about it. My husband and I went to Dr. Morales 1 year ago for preconception screening and she was very thorough and has a very welcoming and "mama bear" vibe. I went back to her this year after a loss and a misdiagnosis that was one of the most stressful times in my life. The amount of support, validation and empathy she provided was unparalleled to other experiences I have had. Furthermore, although I did participate in genetic screenings and ultrasounds, there were additional procedures that she did not recommend to us at the time. Encouraging us to give it more time naturally first; proving she genuinely cares about you, your finances and your situation by not over prescribing or over testing. If confidentiality or HIPAA are important factors ...then this doctor is not for you!

I am very pleased with my overall experience with Dr. Morales and FSMG. It took some time but ultimately IVF worked for us! The clinic has very flexible scheduling which was good for work and someone is always on the other end of the phone. I can see what the others are saying in the negative reviews, but ultimately, I can say that once the staff gets to know you they really do care and the number one goal is to get you pregnant. Dr. M really knows her stuff - she is seasoned and efficient.

Horrible doctor. I and many other people I know and/or have run into have nothing but negative things to say about her. Mean, nasty, disorganized, money grubbing. My experience was nothing short of terrible in every way. Seeing a new doctor in town who is a dream in every way compared to this mess. Clinic and staff at the clinic are terrible too, high turnover rate due to being such a horrible, disorganized, low moral place to work mainly because of Dr. Morales. Know two former employees who had nothing but bad experiences and are so much happier at other places now. My husband and I came to Arlene in October of 2016. She took my husband and I very seriously, even though we are young, and she quickly ordered tests for us, found out what our fertility problems were and had a plan to help us conceive. Multiple times I was called by the financial team there to discuss cheaper options for my tests, etc, which I was not expecting. I was started on medication by the end of November and we are now expecting a sweet baby boy this October! We both felt so comfortable and taken care by Arlene and the fertility team there, and are SO thankful to have found them! My husband and I came to Arlene in October of 2016. Dr. Morales is a fertility genius. After going to dr. Park at sdfc and having three failed transfers I switched to Dr. Morales for a second opinion. With a new and different protocol and new testing she got me pregnant finally after years of trying and miscarriages. She is the most hardworking and caring RE. Everyone at Their office is awesome and flexible. We love them all there. We are now trying for baby number two and I have so much trust in them. They are the best in SAn Diego hands down. I would highly recommend not going anywhere else. I have 4 friends who did not have good luck at SDFC and switched over eventually or gave up. Dr. Morales is a fertility genius. After going to dr. Dr. Morales and the entire team at FSMG were absolutely wonderful throughout the entire testing and treatment process. I felt that everyone, from the RN's to the financial team, was incredibly helpful and communicative, and that Dr. Morales really took the time to treat me as an individual. Highly recommend!

I saw Dr. Morales at the recommendation of a few friends and am incredibly glad and grateful that I had her, and her staff along my side throughout this journey. I also saw Dr. Shelly and Dr. Maas at a few visits and they always knew right where I was in my treatment cycle. Infertility is tough, and surrounding yourself with caring and intelligent doctors, nurses and support staff can make all the difference. I felt that Dr. Morales was very up-front on my family building options from the start, and felt that all medical information was clearly presented, and that everyone was walking me through every step of the process.I really did my research on Dr. Morales and FSMG before jumping into anything, and I'm glad I did. Dr. Morales is very active in bioethics, research and cutting-edge technologies, things that were very important to me! Although I didn't have insurance coverage, the financial team was always very clear on how much everything would cost and when all payment was due. I'm thankful to Dr. Morales and the entire FSMG staff ( shout out to Martha!) for not only helping me build my wonderful family, but guiding me what can be a very stressful process. Excellent experience with Dr. Morales and the entire FSMG staff. I felt comfortable throughout the testing and treatment process, and felt supported every step of the way! I spent quite a bit of time with the financial department making sure I understood everything (insurance is confusing!) and everyone was so patient and understanding. HIGHLY recommend!

Horrible doctor. No bedside manner. Rude, disorganized and incompetent. My experience was terrible in many ways. Former patients and staff members all have nothing nice to say. You have a choice, there are many doctors in town who are competent, nice and organized as they should be with fertility and the emotional and financial strain that it is.

Dr Morales is the best fertility doctor in San Diego. I know because I've been to two of the major offices. I switched to get care with her after sdfc wasted my time and money for 2 years. She got me pregnant quickly with my son. She is the best of the best and works sooo hard to help others. She truly cares about her patients.

If you go to her, she'll try to push you to the most expensive treatment "egg donor"........ she's a money maker face...........I tried IUI from her, but didn't work. I went to another doctor and he said he didn't know why dr Morales did IUI for me, which is obviously not the choice for my case. Now I know, all she did is trying to take your money as much as possible...........I highly not recommend this doctor to anyone!!!
