Dr. Antoine Emile Chahine

My husband and I have delt with Dr. Chahine and his nurse practitioner for 6 months. It is almost impossible to have a phone call returned or a question answered. Our family physician went so far as to call him and tell him to do a better job! Unfortunately it did nothing. I am a retired R.N. I called with an urgent concern about my husband at 8am and did not receive a return call, the is negligent. I would not recommend Dr. Chahine. Dr. Chahine is very kind, caring and patient. Which is rare to find these days. He explains things thoroughly, until you understand what you are dealing with!! He is trust worthy, and an over all very good person and wonderful Doctor!!!!!

Dr Chahine is a fantastic hematology oncologist. I am thankful that he's part of my team as my local oncologist and handles my treatments. Excellent "bedside" manner. Great staff as well.

I have been seeing Dr. Chahine for 4 years. Went to the Cancer Treatments Center of America for a 2nd opinion. After 10 days, they had the same treatment as Dr. Chahine. There is nothing that I have asked Dr. Chahine that he wasn’t upbeat and very optimistic about. In my worst days, he came up to the hospital and was the only one that did t give up on me. Thanks to Dr. Chahine and my wife I am here 3 yrs. later and going strong. The treatment plan that he has prescribed for me over these last 4 yrs. has put me on total remission from stage iv lung cancer and throat cancer. My wife and I feel that we made the right choice to stay with Dr. Chahine and the staff at the Blood and Cancer Center. We are very lucky to have such a doctor in this area.

Honestly, when my husband had a cancer diagnosis? My gut said Cleveland clinic without a doubt. We weighed the treatment plans and hour drive after chemo ; we decided we could have equal care close to home. We hit the jackpot with Dr Chahine! He’s personable, brilliant, compasssionate and most importantly... seems to treat each case individually. Our plan recently changed due to new research. Having a doctor keep up at the mind boggling pace of cancer research is a blessing beyond expectations.

Absolutely ridiculous. Chahine told us that the biopsy performed at St. Joe's hospital was flawed and that he was unable to tell what kind of lung cancer we have, therefor unable to treat. We have been in the hospital now for exactly one week and have not seen, nor heard from him. Surprisingly, we are about to receive the first chemo treatment... We demanded to speak with him before proceeding with chemo. He didn't have the decency to speak with us in person, and called to say it's stage IV.

Exceptional caregiver! Thoughtful, empathetic, caring, and very knowledgeable.
