Excellent practice! I was at ease the entire time I was at the office and during my procedure. Dr. Michaels' talked me through every step.

The staff was very accommodating and explained every detail of the procedure. They made me feel very comfortable and eased all of my anxieties about the procedure. Colonoscopies are straight up no fun but they made the process as comfortable as possible.

My interaction with Dr. Michaels in person and on the phone has been everything I could have asked for. He was personable and professional, explained my options fully and clearly, and called me immediately following his meeting with the panel of specialists who reviewed my case. Dr. Michaels is a wonderful, personal and caring doctor that I have seen for the past several years. When he left his former job, I followed him to OGG because of my comfort and experience with him. I do not want to start over with any other doctor for my medical concerns.

This was my first appt with Dr. Michaels. He answered all my questions, explained my condition, and I did not feel rushed. Am very happy with my care.

Terrible! He did not explain a single thing to me. He answers questions with questions and is very rude. My initial appointment I did not even get a physical exam. He gave me zero advice, would not explain what stage I was in and the only thing he was concerned about was when i get sick enough to get a transplant. But he did mark my office visit as High CPT code for a 9 minute visit each time. Well I was previously told by another Dr that we caught this early enough and it was reversible. I stuck with him for a few appointments because I wanted make sure I had a local Dr.

I really liked Dr Michael's. He did not hurry through the appointment and explained things very well. I look forward to my next visit.

Dr. Michaels has been my doctor for 11 years. 5 years ago he led me through a liver transplant and has taken great care of me. His staff is very helpful. I have recommended a few people to him ,because I have confidence. in him.

Great doctor, polite, quick to respond to questions via mychart. No complaints

Dr. Michaels has treated me in the Liver Clinic at OSU for a number of years. He always answers my questions, and takes time to inquire about my life. It is my perception he genuinely cares. He promptly responds to questions sent to him via OSU My Chart. In addition, staff seems to get along and enjoy working with him, making my visits pleasant.

I was not impressed with his bedside manner. Seemed to want to shame my dad about asking him how he got hepatitis. Not sure why that mattered when he said he only had months to live. St. Anne's sent him to OSU for possible liver transplant. Dr. Michael's didn't really explain but said that is not an option after I asked him. Was not impressed with the resident at OSU. She did not know what she was doing and fluid was spilling out of machine when she drained his stomach fluid.

A previous doctor diagnosed me with an autoimmune liver disease, PBC that is somewhat rare. I moved to Dr Michaels to get more information and better care and I have not been disappointed. He has taken time to answer all of my questions and quickly responds to my ongoing questions through the patient portal.

If you value your life, find a different Doctor. My sister was under his care and now she's dead due to his carelessness!

He's a great doctor and answered all my questions regarding my liver condition. I feel like a person, not a case number, to him.

Dr. Michaels is an awesome doctor. He really cares about his patients and he is so nice. He pays attention to you and your problems and does what he can to help. He's so sweet and really funny too.
