For me this was a waste of time had a injection did nothing no follow up.

I thought pain management was just that!! 2 rounds of shots in my back that didn't work he says 'oh well ' you need a new mri blah blah blah DUH he should have had a mri before

The worst experience medically I ever had. His staff is awful and uncaring. They don't do their job and then blame you for it. They are very rude and standoffish. I had to drive almost 2 hours even to see him, then when they set me up for injections they canceled my appointment and didn't bother to call then set it up for the next day and had to spend 2 hours trying to fix mistakes that were made before I could even get the injections. Was suppose to go for 2 set of injections and they call the day before and said they had to cancel because they couldn't reach me and they had 2 different numbers to call and didn't. If I could give zero stars I would. He forces you to go through many painful, very invasive procedures before he will he even consider any other form of pain relief. I did them all, nothing worked. He then said,”sorry, I will not be prescribing any pain medication, try ibuprofen.” I didn’t ask for anything and it took month’s to go through all of his pain shots and nerve ablation procedures. He never let the numbing medicine kick in before he stabbed me with the huge needle to guide the shot through. Excruciating! Barbaric! If I could give zero stars I would. I deal with a lot of pain. Dr. Casanova has helped me with a large amount of it. He helped me understand the cause of the pain and over time has helped greatly. Had another round of injections today and I expect it will be very effective as before. I find him and his staff to be be very knowledgeable and helpful. I am thankful for their help. This dr and staff are rude and horrible bed side manner. They did not help me if anything my pain is worse. It was 2 yrs ago and yet after visiting them i am scared to try anyone else. Drs are not cheap with insurance but if you dont have it it is worse for those that go and try to seek help and walk out feeling worse off. Great doctor!! Very talented in administering injections for pain. Does not talk much, but explains what he will be doing. Katy is NP is very knowledgeable and explains also. Great team!!!!!

I went in with four herniated discs, and Dr. Casanova gave me an epidural to help manage the pain. I had a bad reaction to it, and by no fault of his own I had utter fear of going in for another. He took the time out of his busy schedule,to come speak to my husband and myself and explain why everything went how it did. He stated he didn’t think another would do any good, and he noticed my panic and fear, and really took the time to comfort me. Doctors don’t usually do this, and I know him doing so, made him late for other appointments. I have total faith in him as a doctor and I am grateful I am a patient of his.

Hurt on job 2005 dr. Casanova and his staff have been wonderful to me taking care of me for years I definitely recommend dr. Casanova he's straight and to the point and tells you how it is and takes care of you to a certain extent but he won't tolerate no pill poppers looking to get high good doctor and real friendly staff... ??

Dr Casanova is one of the best pain doctors in Joplin Missouri I fired dr. Stelling she had me on six different kinds of pain medicine I had it for level double Fusion I've got 14 1 inch steel rods in my back he has got me down to four medications to 6 so I fired dr. Had an injection after a hip replacement. It was the worst experience of my life. The pain following kept me in bed for 8 days.

Don't waste your time with this inept fool or his staff. Back pain was better off being treated with hopes and dreams. Not to mention the staff putting off sending in paperwork that would keep my short term disability paperwork from lapsing. It's the 24th as I write this, said paperwork was given to them on the 5th with notice that my benefits were to be cut on the 8th if that was not sent off. On the 23rd they finally sent it to a third party who completely ignored the fax number and put my time sensitive paperwork through the mail. I don't think. This place would get one star if it didn't require at least one. Edit- it's now the 27th, they are closed today or i would be well on my way up there. They are too dumb to even send the proper paperwork required to get my disability back on track. Any other profession you'd be fired for being this bad at your job. He gave me a esi or otherwise a epidural steroid injection that was the most painful thing I had ever had. He did this after the first visit and I never went back.

Dr. Casanova may very well have saved my life. He found that the meds I was being prescribed could have had adverse effects on my respiratory system. I found his bedside manner to be friendly and his explanation of my chronic pain to be easy to understand. Patient for more than 3 yrs. Had a great nurse practitioner and lost her ??. Poor "bedside manner" and no afternoon appts. Half butted helper!

The doctor off was clean and the people where very nice and informed was treated like a person, was not talked down to. The dr did a real exam, asked a lot of questions and explained everything very well. Did not have to wait to be seen. Was very pleased!
