We were assigned Dr. Ellis for our family social study while going through a custody dispute. Dr. Ellis was one of the most incompetent drs I've ever seen. She "accidently" included my child's information in the social study report of another parent (I never would have known except that parent was able to contact me and inform due to the sensitive information she had recieved of mine from Dr. Ellis in her report). She came to my home the same week she had a hip replacement and claimed as she climbed the stairs she wasn't even taking pain meds. Well no one asked and for that information to be just thrown out the there was a very odd statement and truthfully made me think the exact opposite, that she most likely was on medication. Ultimately she concluded that I the primary custodian was an over thinker who need to get a job outside the home and not worry about my child so much (never mind the fact that the parent trying to gain more time was a 3x convicted alcoholic and consequently served additional jail time for offenses occurring after she deemed him a great example with a loving home). After being put through the ringer and drained of finances attempting to protect my child the other parent had another child and decided he no longer wanted his son and terminated his rights. But according to Dr. Ellis he was a wonderfully fit parent and should be given all the rights and time desired.
