I WOULD GIVE 0 stars if I COULD !!! I’m reporting this office to the medical board I came in from being discharged from the HOSPITAL! Barley able to walk and the doctor didn’t do anything to help me BUT RUN MY INSURANCE!! All she did was prescribe blood work and ask to see me back in a month! Was not concerned for my health AT ALL! Did not try to help me get better ! LUCKILY I found another care provider, office staff is TRASH AS WELL I called to get assistance and told me she was booked a month out which was a lie!!!! One visit and done! She was very dismissive of my concerns and gave me a very long condescending lecture, without even knowing me. When I called to cancel my follow up appointment, there wasn't any surprise or questioning from the office staff, as if they already knew their doctor wasn't good. I went in for my preventative appointment and I made it clear that I had no concerns. The physician I saw still had not preventative code in the notes and said we discussed concerns that I never brought up. I was charged for the appointment because of the false notes the doctor reported. When I called to discuss the office staff was rude, unhelpful and hung up. I called back with insurance on the line and they passed us off to a billing company who never returned the message we left in reference to a review of the codes. I will the charge, as there isn't much I can do about a dishonest physician's notes, however I will not go back and would not recommend using this office.

When I read some of the reviews on Dr Patel and her staff I can't understand all the negativity. Her staff has always been professional and polite when I call or visit the office NEVER RUDE to us.. Dr. Patel does an outstanding job listening and taking care of my husband who has many health issues.

Trash. I wish I could rate her negative stars. Dr. Patel could care less about her patients (or maybe it was just me). The resident in training was 10x better than she was. Her staff are very u professional and lack knlwledge of anything. One medical assistant told me she couldn't add any more medications to my list after 5... The other medical assistant set up for a pap smear and didn't even have a cover for me to sit on and they don't use disposable packets of lube for the speculum they use tubes and the doctor tried to wipe the speculum on the top of the tube to then try and insert the speculum in me. That is VERY unsanitary. The doctor herself is very quick and doesn't listen much and her staff doesn't know how to put information for appointments and lots of questions were not answered. I was given a urine cup with nonlabel and other patients were giving urine samples, there easily someone can confuse the urines for each patient and can give false results to a patient.The doctor is more interested in charging a patients insurance than actually listen and help with the patients concerns. They lack common sense. They should be reported for the lack of knowledge, common sense, and sanitation as well as patient identification for labs being done in office. If I could rate her a negative I would. Worst experience I have encountered with a Doctor. I have a very bad spine with arthritis causing major pain constantly. State sent me for an evaluation. Dr. Patel was rude, condescending and aggressive in her behavior, she threaten to not do the exam because I was under pain and at one point asked me what i did all day " do you watch birds all day" I could tell she was not interested in doing this examination, obviously State does not pay her enough. Very unprofessional, rude, and don’t care about your needs. Find another Dr. You will be wasting your time if you have a need for referrals, because she trains her staff to suck your insurance first before she sent you away to an specialist. But she will referred you to her cousins with no problem. I would never come back to her again, even if she is the last Dr on earth. I wish there was an option to give this practice a zero star they don't deserve a star. My husband and I moved to Florida and was in search of a new PCP, we found Dr. Patel. I wish we had of taken the time to read the reviews prior to making our appointments. The front office workers are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and INCOMPETENT. I had to have blood drawn and the tech did not know how to draw blood she actually went and got someone else to come stick me. Now I see why they try to send you to Quest to have your blood drawn. When they called to verify my upcoming appointment the following week they called my office instead of my personal contact info and tried to verify my appointment with a co-worker. They never asked to whom they were talking to. As for Dr. Patel, I don't even know how she is qualified to be a Dr. I had the worst experience ever with Dr. Patel. She kept cutting me off during the conversation, she refused to listen to my concerns, basically she kept telling me I was "fat" and all of my health concerns were due to my recent weight gain. I questioned how she was able to diagnose me without any labs etc...... Needless to say......... My husband and I are no longer patients of Dr. Patel and have found a new PCP. The worst doctor that I’ve ever been to. Extremely unprofessional and terrible bedside manner. Her advice and diagnosis cost me thousands of dollars along with wasted time.

After a wait of more than hour i got my turn and see a Practitioner Nurse walking into my room to see me. Damn - Is i am paying you for seeing a Nurse practitioner? The front desk was nice first time there.Dr.Patel was ok she didn't seem concerned, and. continued to cut my conversations off.I won't return!

I like the doctors but the front staff is unprofessional, don't know most of the time what they are doing and don't understand what you are requesting. When you call they just put you on hold, not even mention the business name. Get a new front staff. I work as a receptionist and if we would behave like that we would be fired.

I was reluctant to go here based solely on previous Google, reviews. To my delight the office staff and P.A. were friendly and thorough. Glad I checked them out for myself. I will continue coming here. Thank You!

Awesome!! Listens patiently!! Was overweight and a diabetic with high blood pressure. Thru her guidance I have lost 36 pounds, eat healthy and blood pressure and sugar levels are normal. This was a one year process and I am extremely grateful!

Dr. Patel is wonderful. She always spends a lot of time with me going over my habits, how to improve my health. She is one of the VERY FEW MDs that takes a holistic approach to treating her patients. She doesn't jump to pharmaceuticals, is very slow to prescribe a medication. I always learn a lot from her. Thank you to Elizabeth and the rest of her staff. I do have a suggestion- if You are visiting this office and have a condition that may need more expertise, be sure to schedule with Dr. Patel and not one of her NPs. Dr. Patel is extremely attentive and informative. I searched for a long time for a Primary Care doctor that didn't rush me out of their office or feel like they just wrote prescriptions to shut me up. Dr. Patel is different. She listens and shows empathy for her patients. She strongly enforces the need to naturally take care of one self through a healthy lifestyle and to search for the bottom line issue or causes of the health concern. I would highly recommend her. The worst doctor ever .

I could write a novel so I will condense it to one word......run!!

All the bad reviews are accurate: condescending, no bedside manner, not really into listening, and seemingly has no interest in needs of patient.

I had been going to her for a while but I was in a car accident and my accident doctor said my blood pressure was high and I need to see primary I went 20 minutes later Anita said my BP was normal and sent me on my way later that day I collapsed due to the high blood pressure lost faith in her as a doctor.

I had an appointment today as a new patient and I must say this is the most unprofessional medical office I have ever seen. How is a place like this able to stay in business, they do not care about their patients at all. The nurse practitioner was absolutely horrible. Dr. Patel saved my dad's life 3 times by detecting things his other doctors had missed. She is personally responsible for the additional three years we got to spend with him before he succumbed to the kidney failure. She is caring and thorough. If I could rate a "0" I would! I've been going to Dr. Patel for almost 2yrs. She has the worst bedside manner of any Dr. I've ever had! She doesn't take time to listen to the patients. Dr. Patel consistently refused to give me referrals. The last referral I requested was for a cardiologist after going to the hospital for chest pains. She informed me they had run all the tests and couldn't do anything else for me. I changed my primary who immediately sent me to a cardiologist who discovered my heart is slightly enlarged, my left carotid artery is slightly clogged and that I have a prolapsed valve in my heart. I read these recent reviews, and had to check if I was on the correct website. Dr. Patel has always been GREAT, CARING, and her and her staff have been nothing but professional. Five stars is not enough.

This office is a joke! I am new to this office after being with Dr Jose Berrios for over 20 yrs. I have a history of anxiety and panic attacks. Needless to say today I encountered a severe panic attack due to a series of life events. So I called my Pcp for assistance. They got me in to see their nurse practitioner. Who was very condensending & lecturing me about prescribing xanax and how its addicting & i would need to be able to take care of my kids.. Mind you I had been on them for yrs before I became pregnant with my son who is now 7 months. She then left to speak with Dr Patel. She comes back in to then discuss my thyroid levels. Like seriously! So I left and called to speak with Evelyn to file a greivance. Was put on hold and was "accidentally" disconnected. I called back and she then went on about my thyroid. She said the Dr suggested I go to the ER.. Really? I asked if they reviewed by records and if they saw my hx of anxiety and she said yes but your thyroid... ARE U KIDDING ME! Dr Patel was extremely patient with my mom and was succinct in her explanation of problems and treatments. She helps complete the network of caregivers by weaving specialists into the network. Her intent listening skills are valued.

I am a new patient with Dr Patel and have only seen her once. I see her a second time this week for a follow up (she prescribed precautionary testing per family history). My first visit was great. It was most definitely the kind of experience you want to have when you are trying to become established with a new doc. I am a male and did have some question on my comfort level with her as a woman doctor(that's on me, as I have only ever see male docs) but truly I was comfortable with her. Simply said, I recommend her. I like her throughness (prescribed a heart ultrasound first visit and did ekg in office), I like her "bed side manner", and I am glad to have chosen her as my new doc in the tampa bay area.
