My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Sethi’s for years. We have always had our needs taken care of. Recently Dr. Sethi recommended getting refractive lens exchange surgery for my wife, something we hadn’t heard of. He recommended a great surgeon in San Jose who took great care of my wife. Do not go to Crisp Vision Optometry. Dr. Anil Sethi is no good, he will do anything to get more money from his patient, per example, he will show you a picture of another person who has some kind of eye disease saying this is yours, in order to make you scared, and so you will listen to him and come more often to his office for that reason (for more money of course). When I requested my eye medical file, he talked to me with a bad attitude that you can hear in his voice. He examined my eyes on different day and was nothing wrong except for dry eyes. You always get a phone from his office making an appointment for you without your request, and it is so hard to cancel it. They keeping sending you emails and calling you for your appointment that you didn’t arrange (this is bugging). One time what happened is that they took a lot of money from me for two glasses not just that I have to wait over two weeks finally; they gave me two very sheep glasses, not the one that I choose.

I agree with padded on procedures and inflated pricing. I left with vitamins, a heating pad for dry eyes, and 700.00 for a year of daily contacts. I was told I would be given a form for rebate because I have insurance. I was never given the form or my prescription. I have to call to get it. When I was there the insurance company for someone else was on hold as well. I was advised to come back for 3 procedures costing 150.00 each for dry eyes. In the waiting room there were pamphlets and videos about dry eyes and discussion overheard was mostly concerning insurance situations. I felt scammed when I left. I have been Dr. Sethi's patient at the Monterey, California office for many years. After many years in the Monterey area, I retired and relocated to Southern California, That move, of course, caused me to change many things, but there was one thing I did not change..........where and by whom I would be provided ongoing eye care services. Years ago, Dr. Sethi was involved before and after my eye surgeries and has conscientiously followed me with regular extensive eye exams with particular emphasis on detecting any changes resulting from my diabetes. He provides an annual report to my medical provider in SoCal, which has been received with respectful acknowledgment by my primary physician of the expertise evidenced in Dr. Sethi's reports. I do not trust anyone else to provide me with essential eye care. I travel to Monterey every year just to see Dr. Sethi and his wonderful caring staff. It is always a joy as I know I am in good hands. During my visits over the years, they have all provided professional and competent services, meeting all of my needs. If you’re seeking a location that has high quality service, this isn’t it. We are new to the area and called requesting to set up an appointment. The lady who answered the phone immediately just asked whether we had insurance, and then said she would need to call me back in 30 min because she had a lot of patients to check in. I said that was no problem. I waited until the end of business (5 hours later) and never received a call back. I called the following day (Friday) and she said that the system was down to check for insurance. That she would call me back on Monday with an update. Monday passes, no call. So I attempt to call Tuesday morning at 9 am and leave a VM. I attempted again at 3 pm since I still had not received a call back. Still nobody is answering the phone. Don’t recommend. They clearly are not in the market for any new clients. If you’re seeking a location that has high quality service, this isn’t it. I was very impressed with Dr. Sethi, he explains conditions and procedures with more description than any other optometrist I've encountered. He treated me with respect and listened to everything I had to say. I wasn't interrupted and laughed at which has been my experience with other optometrists. He even recommended some essential vitamins that will help with my dry eyes. I had a wonderful experience with him and his office staff.

Dr Sethi is a knowledgable physician that really goes above and beyond when it comes to patient care. He is very good at explaining my options when it comes to my eyes, and always works with my insurance to make sure everything is taken care of. It would be very difficult to find a better optometrist in the area with a mix of knowledge, customer care and affordable prices. I do not write any reviews and I am writing this with a heavy heart. For nearly 7 years, I had Dr. Sethi as my eye doctor. during this period, it seems that progressively billing become unnecessarily larger and inflated. I decided to visit another establishment to compare. Lo and behold, each visit charges at the new place, for comparable services was 1/4 th of Dr. Sethi. I brought this to the attention of the management (a family member of Dr. Sethi) to no avail. At one time I needed my records to show what had been done, the management took my records hostage for bloated charges. When I questioned more, the relationship become hostile, getting a pair of eye classes took nearly 7 months and even then not the right product. Be warn of excessive and unnecessary this and that procedure and accompanying charges, and question every treatment up front so you will not have the deteriorating and un healthy experiences that I had.
