Dr. Angela Lorraine Gray

My baby had an ovarian cyst that was missed by a previous doctor and Dr Gray caught it. Thank you doesn't begin to cover my gratitude for this woman. Also appreciated how straight forward she is!

I have experienced multiple miscarriages (over 6) and never had any answers. Now pregnant with my rainbow baby, Dr Gray had to deliver some scary news to me about my cervix being open at 20 weeks! I knew I was going to lose this baby, but Dr Gray have me options and performed an emergency procedure to save my pregnancy. I am soooo thankful for her! She is so kind and compassionate. Highly recommend if you need to see MFM.

I saw Dr. Gray once for an ultrasound at 32 weeks. I saw midwives for my entire pregnancy and they recommended I have a 32 week ultrasound because my baby was measuring on the big side at 20 weeks. He measured slightly big at the 32 week ultrasound as well and Dr. Gray tried to scare me out of having a home birth. It’s known that ultrasounds aren’t a reliable way to measure for a big baby and my midwives told me not to put too much weight on the ultrasound. My find all height was measuring right on and the midwives told me he didn’t feel like a big baby. Dr. Gray said there was no way my midwives were measuring me right. That said, she didn’t lay a hand on me. She told me the risks of a big baby and that o could have a distended uterus and a hemorrhage and there was no way I could safely birth at home. I chose to listen to my midwives who were extremely supportive and knowledgeable. I had a home birth at 40 weeks +2 and had a perfect 7 lb 10 oz baby.

If you want a personable Dr. & experience, Dr. Gray is not the Dr. for you. I initially enjoyed her energy & honesty, but in the last months of my pregnancy I felt rushed like another random labor & delivery. She wanted to induce me for no reason other than to accomodate her "off schedule" (her words). She came to the hospital right when i delivered and cut the umbilical cord of my FIRST CHILD without even asking my husband if he wanted the honors/experience with his first born son. She then preceeded to sew me up without numbing me and assumed that because i went natural during labor that i could "handle the pain" of being sewn up...i literally just labored for 26 hours and had a baby naturally...i couldn't believe the lack of compassion and care. Im saddened to even have to write this review, but as a first time mother in the middle of a pandemic (my entire pregnancy experience was taken from me), I wish i had a better experience with Dr. Gray to remember & write about.
