Dr. Andrew P Slivka JR.

Slivka is a poor communicator. He does not seem to listen to his patients and does not take time to explain any diagnosis or treatment options. Moreover I found out 4 years later that he had made chart notes about changing my medication that but never communicated that with me nor did he change the actual prescription, leaving me on the wrong medication indefinitely. Luckily an OSU PMC saw this error 4 years later. If you are coherent, find a different doctor. Slivka is a poor communicator. After moving out if state Dr Slivka continued to check in me and communicate with my physicians. He has always gone above and beyond what was necessary. I have yet to meet a more caring, compassionate and knowledgeable physician.

Dr. Slivka needs to retire. He is a cranky old man who is more into staring at his computer screen than evaluating or examining his patient. He has difficulty looking at you while he speaks with you as a patient, and his examination lasted less than 3 minutes. I had to go to the ER 3 times to be seen by his residents to get a correct diagnosis, a diagnosis he could have made in his office if he had bothered to
