Dr. Andrew Romano

My parents have been patients of Dr Romano, and I have found him to be unprofessional, abrupt, aggressive, judgmental and self righteous. I am very unhappy with him and will be finding them a new doctor.

I have been seeing this Dr for 8 years and all of a sudden he dropped me as a patient because we disagreed about a situation. He knows I am on SSDI and can't afford much of anything and he didn't care or have any concern about my situation.

Maintains scarce office hours and no-one in the office ever answers the phone, even when the office is open. They had an issue with my insurance and, instead of calling and rectifying the issue, they put me in collections and damaged my credit. In the process of suing them on that matter as of the date of this rating. However this collection action coincided with dumping a bunch of patients who didn't sign on to his $2,500/yr agreement to have him as your on-call doctor who, when you call, you get a recording. Be careful about using him. He wasn't a bad doctor, but his business plan is abnormal and definitely not conducive to the average family.

A can't speak highly enough about Dr Romano. My dad had open heart surgery over the summer. He had Pumphead and was out of it after the surgery. Dr Romano was RIGHT there for us. I was in contact with his office with my questions and concerns and Dr Romano understood how afraid I was. His office staff is amazing. Dr Romano called me on a Saturday to give me a prescription for my dad, which was completely outside the scope of what was expected of him. His bedside manner with my dad while he was in the hospital for an emergency stay right after his surgery put my dad completely at ease. The most important thing my dad and I can say about Dr Romano is that we completely trust that he will do what is the best thing for us because of his depth of knowledge and experience. So grateful for him.

Very nice man. As a doctor, he seems to be to layback. You cannot get him on off hours or on weekends. He tells you to go to a hospital if you need medical care. If you're 15 minutes late for an appointment, he doesn't take you. Now he has a new program where you can pay $2000 up front (out-of-pocket) and he will start to provide the service he should have been providing all along. He's hot stuff. We love Dr Romano! He is no nonsense but still a very nice guy, an excellent diagnostician, and he seems to have a gift for looking at all of a patient's info -- history, bloodwork, symptoms, meds, lifestyle -- and zeroing in on what needs to happen. I credit him with saving my husband's life 2 years ago and keeping him in good shape now. He's also the first doctor who ever worked with me to get my A1C and cholesterol under control, which they have remained. I have recommended dr Romano to anyone I know who's not happy with their own treatment. We can't say enough about him.

Dr Romano & staff are fabulous people. Doctor Romano is attentive, instructive, direct, thorough, and dynamic. All staff are professional in dress & demeanor. Usually Clare answers the phone & is very reliable to give Doctor a message; he in turn is extremely trustworthy for returning your call. Rob & Jackie are down-to-earth, friendly, patient & kind, as is Clare. RX are promptly sent to your Pharmacy. We are very pleased with Dr. Romano's office & staff!
