They are thieves! They overcharged and double billed my insurance. They are unprofessional and lie about the copayment. The dr is useless and unable to prescribe anything. They are left on the 50’s with their medications and services. AVOID this office!

The doctor and the staffs just don"t really care. They don't want to spend too much time with you to explain everything. They just want to make sure you will pay. Not a pleasant experience. AVOID THIS DOCTOR’S OFFICE AT ALL COSTS! My mother went to this clinic for cataract surgery and had a very unpleasant experience. The office tries to process as many patients as possible during a day and functions like a fast food drive thru with no care for customer service or the patient experience. During the second appointment we had some questions for the doctor on which lens to use after the cataract removal, and before we met the doctor the nurse (Noelle) was already annoyed that we had made a second appointment and said “do you have your questions written down?” After meeting with the doctor the nurse asked us to sign a surgery risk consent form and choose our lens on the spot. When we said we needed more time to decide she said “you still haven’t decided on the lens yet?!” She asked us to first sign the form and initial next to a choice of monofocal and astigmatism correction and finalize the choice later that day. Later that day we returned to the doctors office to finalize our lens choice and get a copy of the consent form. We were refused a copy of the form by the nurse! Even though the form clearly states that the patient has been offered a copy of the form, we were never offered a copy, rather when we asked for one we were refused. We also wanted the consent form to be corrected to reflect our choice of lens which is a monofocal but WITHOUT the astigmatism correction. The nurse refused to make this correction on this important legal document. It took a long back and forth before finally the nurse agreed to correct the statement and make a copy of the form. We left the office and spent a few minutes in the elevator lobby when the nurse rushed out saying thankfully we hadn’t left yet and that she needed to “redo” a certain measurement. She didn’t explain what she needed to do and we went back into the office for a procedure which hadn’t been done before, so it was something she had clearly forgotten to do. This is days before the surgery! A month before the surgery, after we did a pre-op the nurse (Christina) gave us a couple times slots for the surgery and we selected 10:30am, but was told that we would get a call before the surgery date to confirm an exact time. A few days before the surgery we still did not have a confirmed time so we called the office. The nurse (Noelle) said there is no guarantee on the timing, and that no one would have asked for our preference of 10:30am, suggesting that we had completely made up this conversation we had with Christina. A day before the surgery we called the doctor to make him aware of the nurse’s neglect for one of the measurements and had a redo a procedure. We wanted to make sure nothing else was missed before doing the surgery. The doctor not only was not concerned about the negligence of his staff that an important measurement was somehow missed, but instead suggested that we just cancel the surgery. We ended up never getting the surgery and had already bought all the medication associated with it and already blocked out time in our schedule for the operation. The doctor very dismissively said we should just cancel. He seems to think there will always be an endless supply of patients for him and gave the impression that losing one is no big deal. I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH HOW HORRIBLE OUR EXPERIENCE WAS. IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER CHOICE IN THE WORLD FOR AN EYE OPERATION YOU SHOULD GO WITH THAT ONE INSTEAD OF THIS CLINIC. My husband ( a Dr., a doctor himself ) and myself were long standing patients of Dr. Phillips until I had cataract surgery. The first procedure on the first eye was successful. The only thing I found disagreeable was he pushed for more money than medicare allotted, stating the outcome would likely be better using a special machine??. The second procedure required more money, however the outcome was disastrous. My sight was blurry. I got to see the Dr. relatively soon after the surgery. He said there was still healing going on. He was sympathetic, said he could correct the problem and not to worry. My husband was with me and heard everything I heard. Time went by, but no improvement. I called the office, no sympathy. One gal said I got what I asked for--blindness? Another lady said I couldn't see the Dr. until I had my eyes checked for glasses .More money generated for the office. I was told before I had this procedure I wouldn't need glasses; in fact my vision was better before. When I finally went to see the Dr.I was by myself he told me he had never told me he could correct my vision problem and he didn't know if he would. I repudiated what he said, which didn't make him too happy. I then told him the extra money I paid to get a better result was money down the drain. Dr. Phillips removed cataracts from both my eyes last April. The results were much better than I had anticipated. I'm 91 yrs of age and don't need glasses now for driving and minimal correction for reading. Sincerely

I'm very Happy with Dr. Phillips and his staff. I've developed corneal inflammation due to my Rheumatoid Arthritis. Went to see him on Aug. 16, 2019 due to severe pain and light sensitivity. I could not hardy open my eye. He gave me all the Best care possible. He told me an area in my cornea was 80% melted. He had me in his office every couple of days to check my cornea. Yesterday I saw him and he said my cornea is almost back to normal. He also called my RA doctor to discuss my future care. I thought that was pretty caring. Dr. Phillips and Dr. Lin are excellent. They have corrected my glaucoma and keep my 76 year-old eyes in near perfect shape. They, and their entire staff, exhibit concern and are efficient. I am happy to be their patient and to write this recommendation.

I've gone to Dr. Phillips for at least 5 years and the only thing I can say is how wonderful, kind, patient and friendly he is. He did my Cataract surgery and my eye site has improved on the right eye. I went to another doctor for my left eye and had to go back in surgery because a small piece was still left in my left eye and my vision is not as good. I also have to complement the office staff they are also wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Phillips. The follow-up appointment the next day was a no hassle event-a very short wait time to see him. It is sad and hurting to know how doctors are taking advantage in america. They want money. thats all. Dr Philip is one of them. He is basically a cataract surgeon. When I called, the question i was asked by the nurse was "what seems to be the problem?". I have floaters and very dry eyes. she gave me appointment to Dr philip, even though there is a doctor in the hospital who specialized in dry eyes. I didn't know a cataract surgeon is not a good doctor for other eye problems. I went to the Dr. He dilated and told me to go to sye specialist. Upon asking more questions of my eye problems, he told he is a cataract surgeon and only specialist will help who is on 1st floor. Really? so, why did he take me in? i already mentioned I have dry eyes and floater? either I get appointment from the doctor who is specialized in dry eyes who is in the same place or direct me to another doctor right? so i pay for my visit, dilation..etc etc right? high way robbery. shame on you Dr philip. there is also a follow up visit to the actual dry eye specialist. this is simply dishonest way of treating a person with eye problems. Dr. Phillips is an exceptional eye doctor. He is patient, knowledgeable and concerned about my eyesight. Having seen him a number of times, including cataract surgery, I am a satisfied patient. Noelle, his assistant is top notch, patient, caring, efficient. Office staff, too, are very professional.

I am so glad I went to Dr. Phillips to get my cataracts removed. He performed my surgeries two weeks apart without any problems. Never even took a Tylenol. My vision now is 20/20. Incledible. All I can say is Thank You so much Dr. Phillips for giving me a bright new world to enjoy. Everything is so vibrant and crisp. I never thought I was missing so much clearity in my vision. I recommend Dr. Phillips without any hesitation.

While Dr. Phillips is wonderful and explains everything in detail, his optometrists Dr. Alice Lee was the coldest and most unfriendly person I have ever met. She did not introduce herself and barely spoke. I actually thought at first she was the receptionist I had to ask her if she was the optometrist.I would never ever go back to her! Dr. Phillips is an angel that was heaven sent! He performed cataract surgery on my left eye this week. I am blind in my right eye and he restored vision in my one eye to 20/20. I went out-of network to have him perform my surgery as he is the top in his field for eye surgery. He seems to do this because he loves to restore vision to those who are in need, not for any other reason. I highly recommend him if you are considering surgery.
