I have been seeing Dr. McCollum for Stage 3 Colon Cancer since march of 2020 and suffice it to say, I actually look forward to seeing him on my 3 month visits, he is that personable and enjoyable to talk with. Dr. McCollum is thoughtful practitioner that looks out for his patient's needs and is responsive to any questions or concerns brought up by the patient or their caregivers.

I have been going to Dr. McCollum since March, 2020. I had pancreatic cancer and had 6 months of chemo. Dr. McCollum is very thorough in making sure that the chemo meds were adjusted when my health warranted this. He would ask me how I felt and all the side effects I was having and adjusted the meds to keep the severe side effects to a minimum to help be get through the full 6 months. I have been very happy with the care I have received with Dr. McCollum and his staff.

He has been my oncologist for 7 years and is open and honest about my treatment.

Dr. McCollum answered all of my questions, my wife's questions and my daughters question about meds, treatment and everything my wife and daughter could think of. He was very open to my daughter listening to my check ups via speakerphone. Very professional and very approachable. A rare combination in my experience. Would I recommend Dr. McCollum to friends or family? I trusted his treatment plan with my life. Yes I would recommend Dr. McCollum.

The transition from Dr. Peters to Dr. MCCollum 4 years ago was seamless. The care from both teams has made a difference in building confidence from day one. The whole staff from reception the lab, the the third floor chemo nurses all show they care You can tell they care as professionals and about each patient. My story began at another hospital . I didn’t feel that way when they left out a step in the prep . I knew enough to ask. I changed doctors hospitals . I am glad I did. From Dr. Peters has staff and all the attendants and nurses on the 14th floor through Dr. McCollums care and the Sammons team I feel blessed. It’s not any one person but the whole team . Yes Dr. MCCollum is a great asset to your team . Besides he is a fly fisherman. All Good I’m my book. The Best.

I liked his honesty and directness when talking about my condition. He is to the point, but as optimistic as a Sunday morning preacher. He is the type of person you want in your corner when you are dealing with cancer.
