Dr. Martin was very quiet and seemed disinterested. He seemed not to care and his staff seemed to care even less. This was a horrible experience. Medication was prescribed that the pharmacy could not fill initially. After several phone calls, the office called back (after hours) and said they would contact the pharmacy. Once the prescription was FINALLY FILLED CORRECTLY, I reached out to his office on MANY MANY MANY MANY occasions...only to get a voice mail that they would return the call before the end of the day. You guessed it, they did not. The medication that (I was told) was critical to my recovery made me extremely ill. Another voicemail was left regarding my health and the medication that he prescribed. I would never ask an enemy to use Dr. Martin's services. Initially, I thought they were not returning the calls because they were out of business...which would have been a blessing in disguise for future patients. I am genuinely embarrassed for this Doctor,

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Waited for one and half hours when I booked an appointment and they told me it will be another 20”-30” like they told me earlier. I am a very busy person, my time is just as valuable as the doctor’s, it is so wrong when they book for 10 people for the same time slots. Find someone will value your time and treat you with respect.

I was referred to Dr. Martin by my Primary Care doctor in 2018. Like her, Dr. Martin is excellent. I went in for a Thyroid issue and now also see him because I discovered I was a diabetic in 2020. Other than my Primary Care doctor, I've never had a doctor that sits down with you and explains what your test results mean. He drew pictures! His knowledge is impressive and he's a man of faith. I understand he may run late sometimes but to me, it's certainly worth the wait. I don't remember having difficulty with his staff or the office staff with the exception of the first visit to the office. It was a front office staff person but I decided to excuse the behavior because of Grace. You never know what's going on with a person. While I wasn't happy with the person's response, I didn't let it keep me from returning to see Dr. Martin. I don't want to dismiss other comments about the behavior of office staff when it's unprofessional or lacks courtesy. What I've chosen to do is to be kind. If I don't get that back, then it's on them. If I had a really serious problem with support staff, I wouldn't hesitate to email Advent Health and not the particular practice. I've had to do it before and I've received prompt responses and solutions to whatever problem I encountered. Back to Dr. Martin, as I age (67), I'm very grateful to have a great team of doctors like Dr. Martin and my Primary Care Physician. As Advent Health grows, I certainly hope they remember the patients and not over work the doctors to the point where they can't see their long time and loyal patients. I'm a new patient of Dr. Martin because my other endo moved. She was fantastic, so to go from a team who is very responsive to this team is incredibly stressful and disappointing. I never get anyone to answer the phone or call me back, even with urgent matters about needing medications. I have never dealt with such poor staff before and on top of that you will be waiting for your appointments for 40+ minutes. I try to schedule my appointments first thing in the morning because I work a full time job and I am NEVER seen on time which makes me late for work/meetings. Every appointment, I have had to call the staff to find out when to expect Dr. Martin to show up, mind you these are virtual appointments. Very disappointed in the care of this office. I have had the WORST experience with the clinical team. No return calls regarding my Dad's care. I asked appointment with Dr Charles Carmina and the hospital gave me another doctor(Andrew Martin). They wrote my tsh wrong.The blood exam was 4.79 and they wrote 4.79!!!!!Crazy. I asked refund and i will not be back anymore.

Dr Martin is very thorough and listens to you. His professionalism and knowledge is excellent. This location has excellent staff also.

I was very pleased with Dr. Martin's knowledge, advice and care on my first teleconference appointment call with him today. Marcella, who works with my Endocrinologist, Dr. Andrew Martin at Advent South is awesome. Dr. Martin discovered my Stage 4-2b Thyroid Cancer with metastases to my Lymph Glands and Lungs over 13 years ago (this is why I have to be extremely cautious with any exposure to Covid 19). In short Dr. Martin is my hero…he saved my life. Since I no longer have a Thyroid I have to take Synthroid which has become expensive so we are now working directly with the manufacturer of Synthroid and have been able to get it for a year free direct from them which is wonderful. They mistakenly sent it to Dr. Martin’s office so we had to go pick it up personally. Marcella graciously worked with us on this so we drove to the parking lot at Advent South and she met us on the 3rd floor to give us my meds. By doing this we were able to avoid walking through the parking garage, over the crossover to the Medical Building, getting into the elevator and going up to the office on the 5th floor. We just called the office and Marcella came down in full PPE gear and gave us the meds. We feel so blessed to have Dr. Martin and his gal here to help out as they did. So THANKFUL!!! I have been a patient of Dr. Martin for almost 20 years and I have never seen this practice in the state it is currently in until the past 4-5 months. Dr. Martin as well as the other physicians and PA’s are great however the office staff has had such a huge turn over in the last couple of months and substantial decline in customer service. The office administrator Catherine is very unprofessional and does not return calls to resolve issues, rather she has a receptionist return the call that can not help as they have no experience in the billing aspect and can not resolve my issue or answer my questions and refer the call back to her which she doesn’t respond. When I did finally get her she was very short and was not able to answer my questions. I am very disappointed as this is not the way you treat a patient, and the over all customer service in the office needs to be improved. I was impressed on how prepared his nurse was regarding my health information such as previos tests reports etc. Dr martin explained in detailed and answered all my questions on a manner i understood.

I have seen Dr Martin twice now. He's a really good doctor and very knowledgeable. He's a great listener and cares very much for his patients. The office is run like a tight ship and the staff are always very friendly. It is well worth the hour drive from my house to the Advent health location in Orlando.

Literally the best thing about this practice, pretty much the only good thing about it is Dr. Martin. In my opinion, he is one of the best doctors I've ever known and I've known very many doctors. I highly recommend him and truthfully, if he ever left this practice, I would be out of there so fast.

Dr. Martin is the absolute best and if he ever leaves Florida Diabetes and Endocrine, I am leaving too. He's the ONLY reason I still go there. He's one of the finest Doctors I've ever known.

Dr Martin is Caring, professional without any overbearing tendacies.

Dr. Martin is a excellent doctor. It seems as a thyroid patient it really hard to find a doctor that is willing to listen to the symptoms and not just look at the lab work. I had one thyroid removed and was feeling all the symptoms of hypothyroidism even though my blood was normal and I had functioning thyroid. He looked at my history and even look into preventive measure that I didn’t even think about. I highly recommend him especially for anyone experiencing any type of thyroid issue. I

Call for nurses for several times in fees day then leave a message but it's no return phone.

I have been seeing Dr. Martin for 15 years now. By far the BEST endocrinologist out there!

It has been almost a month since I have seen Dr. Martin and almost 2 weeks since I received my lab results from Quest Diagnostics. I have yet to receive a call from him or his nurse regarding my results. I have called several times leaving messages on the voicemail as well as with the receptionist and still i have heard nothing back. If you are looking for an attentive doctor who takes each patients health seriously do not go to Dr. Martin. I wish I could give him no stars!

Dr. Martin is an Angel, with patience of a saint, great sense of humor and very humble. He doesn't have a God complex as I've seen in doctors. I had a doctor that when I challenged his treatment methods, he stood up, opened door and tells me as I'm walking out, " when you have a medical degree and training I've had I'd be happy to listen to you!" Didn't finish my appoitment. Dr. Martin must have had his ego surgically removed. He genuinely cares and LISTENS to you. God bless him and keep him.

Dr. Martin saves my life every time I see him. If you have issues in his specialties, please see him.

Dr. Martin is an excellent doctor. I hope he's around for as long as I need him. He also has an excellent staff. They're all very warm and caring individuals and show genuine concern for my healthcare and medical needs. Kudos to Dr. Martin and his staff.
