Dr. Andrew W Grace

HORRIBLE experience with Dr. Andrew Grace. Had severe injury while in his care and he would not claim responsibility. Would NEVER go near him again or recommend him to anyone.

Could not even give him 1 star. Had a HORRIBLE experience with him during a simple vein ablation procedure that caused major damage and subsequent major surgery, pain and continued suffering. Never would I recommend him or his staff.

Dr. Grace and his nurse took great care of me. I came to my initial appointment with pain and discomfort from a bulging varicose vein in the back of my knee which was affecting my ability to be active. Ultrasound confirmed vein insufficiency, and Dr. Grace's office staff worked directly with my insurer to ensure that the procedure to remove the vein was pre-approved. Dr. Grace and nurse Susie knew I had anxiety about the procedure and, they made me feel supported and cared for before, during, and after the procedure. Dr. Grace performed an endovenous ablation as well as sclerotherapy, which was painless and quick. Recovery was easy, ( I was able to run just a week post-procedure) and I felt relief immediately. If you are on the fence about dealing with painful varicose veins, don't hesitate to see Dr. Grace.

I did not trust his thought process (not open minded at all). It looked like a hernia, and he insisted that it was and that a hernia surgery with mesh was appropriate. He shrugged off my concerns that I had something other than a hernia going on and my concerns about mesh surgery. I found his cold dismissal very disturbing. He was adamant and confident that I had a hernia. He wouldn’t listen or consider what I was saying and dismissed the odd radiology report and images. He was wrong. I did not have a hernia. I am glad I didn’t let him perform an unnecessary surgery which could have had unnecessary lifelong consequences.

Did not perform a simple surgery well that led to an infection then fistula at surgery site which he ignored. Had to have follow up surgeries with other doctor. Now have permanent nerve damage.

I received paperwork for. My upcoming appointment and to review my medical history form. Much to my surprise I did not receive mine but someone else’s! I canceled the appointment and will not make another. Who received my medical history? Such incompetence! I would give no stars.

He was a very smart doctor very informative and easy to talk to.

Had a hemorroidectomy almost 3 months ago. Everything went great and as I was told. His staff was also great.

I am nurse and a varicose vein patient. I am pleased bozeman has this clinic as a resource. As to the previous comment, patients can always seek a second opinion. The outcome of any surgery especially emergency surgery can have minor to serious consequences.

Dr. Grace was a terrible listener. Perhaps he treats his vein patients with more interest, but I would strongly recommend avoiding him as a general surgeon. I am under 30 and in exceptional health, except that his treatment plan for my burst appendix led to permanent kidney failure and months of hospitalization. I asked him REPEATEDLY for a second opinion. He denied me that opportunity as many times, which is illegal in addition to being an extremely selfish and unkind act of egotism on his part
