He was the best Dr I’ve ever had. He gave me hug every time I seen him. Hate he left me

I was so blessed to have Dr. Forero as my doctor. I was dx at 37 with triple positive breast cancer. I went to him as a second opinion and immediately knew I wanted him to be my oncologist. He is such a positive uplifting presence as was so comforting and even supported me in not choosing recon. He is so dedicated to finding a cure that he's now in genetic research. I miss him all of the time. I am so thankful he was my doctor during my fight for cancer.

I was under the care of this doctor for a year for breast cancer. He was both sarcastic and degrading to me as a very ill patient, to the point of making joking comments about my dying and yelled at me and my spouse. I did not file a complaint, however I should have. The joke however, is on him because contrary to his negative statements, 3 years later I am alive and well no thanks to him. I would never use him again or recommend him. Obviously the Hippocratic Oath was meaningless to him. Beware

The staff is friendly and helpful. The doctor talked down on me, rushed through the appointment, dismissed my concerns. All he wanted to talk about was his own accomplishments, kept pushing for a research study and wanted me to sign up for it without even reading it. A nightmare.

Anyone who would not give Dr. Forero five stars is hard for me to believe. I have been his patient for five years and I have referred numerous people to him with amazing results. I have total confidence in him and he is a leader in his field. I trusted him with my life five years ago and would highly suggest if you get devastating news that you trust this man. He is an amazing person and world renowned doctor we are so lucky to have him at UAB

Should of posted this a long time ago but actually didn't know this was available. Diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2008, Dr. Forero-Torres is a warm caring compassionate Dr. I have yearly checkups and have been cancer free as of 2010. He never let me have a pity party and always lifted my spirits. I would recommend Dr. Forero-Torres to anyone diagonosed with cancer, with God,Dr. Helen Krontiras and Dr. Forero I am alive and cancer free, ready for year 6 now. I Love you Dr. Forero

BC diagnosed by UAB Breast Care Center, Dec 2015. Many tests performed prior to learning I have Stage 4, Dr Forero prescribed Ibrance 100 mg and Letrozole 2.5 mg estrogen blocker for me beginning 1/28/16. My 2nd PET scan taken 3/2816 shows NO CANCER!!! I'm still in shock... Yes, it was Stage 4 HER2 on right breast, lymph nodes and left lung, all biopsies-all positive! I'm so glad I called UAB instead of a general surgeon; that would've been fatal! And now, 55 chemo pills later, I'm CANCER FREE
