Andrea Ferenczi

I was a patient of Dr Ferenczi since she first arrived in Arizona and worked out of Sun City West. She was always kind and caring and would always spend whatever time was necessary to answer all my questions. I credit Her persistence and due diligence in discovering my thyroid cancer and she advocated for me throughout the process. I was stunned when she left Banner and relocated out in Scotsdale. I am equally stunned to see the negative responses so I wanted to just say you will not find a better epidemiologist in the Valley. Dr Ferenzi, you are very much appreciated and missed! I am very surprised to see all the negative reviews for Dr. Ferenczi. I have been a patient of hers for a number of years. She is bright, kind, caring, and patient. She has my highest recommendation. The staff has been good, not outstanding, but I am rating Dr. Ferenczi, not her staff. She is the best!

After searching for multiple Endo's I found Dr Ferenczi about a mile away. She is an excellent up to the moment research subject matter expert. Extremely thorough and when I got the co pay I was amazed at the reasonable charge for her Office visit. $80 ish out of pocket for the first long set-up visit Picked up my meds at Costco for close to zero cost. I asked for a follow up 6 months later as needed and got in the next day. Dr Ferenczi does not overbill by asking for frequent office visits either. Wow-what a find and she cares too! Love this Dr! Year 2 She only requires one visit for the year!

3 years ago i went to Dr. Ferenczi to see if she would look into what I thought was hyperparathyroidism because I had some thoughts that I might have this because of my symptoms. Because my blood work wasn't what she thought was indicative of this disease, she in the end of 4 or so visits said I didn't have this disease and if I wasn't going to follow her advise, to not come back. Last week I had surgery for hyperparathyroidism which I have had for at least a few years. I feel terrific and wish she had listened more closely to me and seen my symptoms were symptoms of hyperparathyroidism.

It is extremely hard to get an appt with Dr Frenczi. I had to actually go into the office to speak to someone to get an appt. When I told them I had been to the ER and the doctor said I should see Dr Frenczi right away her staff asked for a copy of my DR discharge papers before they would schedule an appt for me. Even though Dr Frenczi had bee my doctor for years. The staff doesn't even get the blood tests before your appt. You never get to actually get to see Dr Frenczi. You are always passed off to someone else even when the doctor is there.

Dr. Ferenczi is a great doctor with good bedside manner. However, she's a little careless and the office is terrible on follow up, responsiveness and they are never proactive. You have to wait after your test results, even with urgent results out of normal range, for weeks, I mean WEEKS, for a response to calls that get properly followed up. I would go elsewhere.

How do you get a hold of anyone? Scheduling department does not answer and mailbox is full. You cant get ahold of front desk either. How does this business exist????

Doctor seemed condescending and dismissive of my issues. Kept focusing on one symptom I mentioned and not any others so the one symptom she kept mentioning, she said was normal and everyone feels tired. Okay well I didn't only say fatigue was an issue, I mentioned MANY others that I have been experiencing for over 2 years which is not normal. Even if not an endocrine issue, still made me feel as though I was stupid to come in to an endocrinologist "all because I was tired." My PCP absolutely did nothing for my symptoms so figured this office could really help me or at least make me feel like they cared about helping me but nope. I was treated very badly at this practice. I was pressured into getting unneccessary in office procedures because they have certain equipment installed in their office. I gave them a bad review because of this, and tried to get a refund of my overpayment from them. For that, they retaliated against me. For your own sake, look elsewhere.

Awful!!! The worse experience I ever had with a specialist. I felt she treated me rudely and was extremely condescending.

Frustrated dealing with them. You can’t even call them to get clarification on anything without them attacking you & giving you attitude for wanting to speak to them. I’m done. Found a more polite and talented doctor who won’t mis diagnose me.

Great endocrinologist! She is such a sweet lady, and I’ve been seeing her on and off for a few years for my Hashimotos Disease. She definitely cares for her patients, and truly listens to them.

Dr. Ferenczi is expert and also explains well & is extremely thorough. She happens to have a great personality too.

Dr Ferenzci is an excellent doctor. However, the communication within the support staff is extremely poor. I have had to spend additional visits, emails, and phone calls to continually correct ongoing issues. Please do something about it. Other reviewers are having the same complaints. Great Doctor

I truly love Dr Ferenczi! She really listens and cares.

Liked the doctor but not how the office is run! Never can get through to make an appointment!

Dr. Ferenczi is an amazing endocrinologist. She had been in Sun City West. We followed her to Scottsdale when Dr. decided to relocate there. Dr. Ferenczi is caring, detailed, thorough and even found a heart issue that was going on. We feel blessed to have my husband as her patient. Thank you, Dr. Ferenczi.

After three appts all the sudden on the 4th I see a PA with no explanation. Then told this is a change in her practice. Every question I asked the PA was told I must check with Doctor and I will call you tomorrow but that never happened even after I called with a reminding call. If I wanted to see a PA I go to Banner. Dr. Ferenczi started treating my wife for Hashimoto’s, and grossly overmedicated her to the point where she had to seek out emergency care with another doctor because her TsH levels hit 0. Her lack of care and improper dosage was Extremely negligent. Her office was extremely unprofessional, and would argue with my wife about wanting to discuss extremely low levels with Dr. Ferenczi, who seemed not to care. When Dr. Ferenczi returned my wife’s call about her dangerously low lab results, she started the call by snapping at my wife, barking that she did not appreciate that my wife was disrupting her day and that she would be charging her for the phone call!!! She ignored my wife’s health concern and was unbelievably unprofessional, especially given it was her negligent overmedication that caused my wife’s numbers to go so low. Dr. Ferenczi proceeded to tell my wife that the “relationship” had degraded and that she would not continue treating her. My wife was in tears after the call and felt violated that this terrible doctor had negligently hurt her body through overmedication and then simply abandoned her when her levels reached dangerous levels — just when she needed care the most. My wife has since found a different doctor who told my wife that she was shocked at the doses prescribed by Dr. Ferenczi. “Negligent and dangerous” were the words used to describe what she did. The new doctor has also reported that Dr. Ferenczi has now failed to release medical records, which is in line with her unprofessional behaviors. Dr. Ferenczi has no quality of care and negligent, improper prescribing practices. I will be putting evidence together to file a complaint with the AZ Medical Review Board in the coming months so this does not happen to anyone else. I will also be pursuing legal action for the harm done to my wife and my family. Very good experience!

Very knowledgeable in Adrenal Insufficiency. She has literally saved my life. Professional yet caring.

Recently blood was drawn. I was told to reduce my meds. I asked to speak to the doctor as I didn't feel comfortable doing so due to my symptoms. She never called. I made an apt to go over my labs with her & discuss treatment. Before my apt, I received a letter saying she would not treat me as I wouldn't "follow medical recommendations." I was told to find a new doctor and was given a token 30 day supply of medication. If I have an emergency in the interm - I was told to go to ER. I am appalled.

Saw Dr. Ferenczi for the first time yesterday. I received the same great care I've come to expect since I first started seeing Dr. Duick at the same practice 8 years ago. Now that Dr. Duick has retired, I'm happy to be Dr. Ferenczi's patient. It was obvious she had read through my chart and recent test results before she saw me. She explained, then listened respectfully, even though I get a little long winded sometimes, and responded thoughtfully to my questions. I'll be back next year.

She may be a good physician but I will never know. I made an appt. a few weeks ago when I called to confirm it The morning of the appt i was told they had cancelled it. I had to call them back the same day after checking to see if I could change another appt first. I did call them back the same day to confirm and set the appt. I told them that and they said I did not. They would not even consider they made a mistake or how this affects me. The Doc needs to know this.

I am not impressed with this practice at all. I actually went here because of her high ratings but it is a joke. I was charged $200 out of pocket after insurance paid for a 20 min appointment with Dr. Ferenczi (billed as a 60 min appointment) where I didn't get much input. She did have me do a water deprivation test at the office where I gave 3 sequential serum and urine samples to check for osmolality. I also had my ADH checked, 3 CMPs, ACTH, and Cortisol. I understand that there may not be much input until the results were back. However, I have has to deal with her medical assistant since the appointment and trying to get information and lab results was an excruciating process. The lab assistant is very frustrating and unclear. I also wrote an email to her asking for more information because all I keep hearing from her is that Dr. Ferenczi finds your lab results inconclusive and that she wants you to take this medication and recheck your labs. I do not take medication anymore unless there are conclusive results and there is a reason. Instead of answering my email I get a call that Dr. Ferenczi wants me to make an appointment if I have questions. I find that is completely unacceptable because I was billed for a 60 minute appointment and I spent at most 20 minutes with her. If you want to spend tons of money to be herded through a practice like cattle then this practice is for you. I am now missing money out of my health fund with no concern or answers. My recommendation is to find and keep a doctor that gives a damn about you. I am not impressed with this practice at all. I actually went here because of her high ratings but it is a joke. Excellent doctor! Andrea discusses all health concerns with an open mind to find a solution. She's up front and honest. I'd highly recommend her.

I can't thank enough to the most caring doctor I ever have Dr. Andrea Ferenczi. She's very accomodating that you can talk to her all about your health problems and give you the best advises what to do and where to go. After Dr. Ferenczi left Banner, I follow her to her new practice in Scottsdale. She is the most caring person I know. She is concern about your health and explain to you what is going on. She doesn't rush like other doctors. She is an outstanding Doctor, I recommend her to anybody. God Bless you Dr. Ferenczi.

I have been going to Dr. Ferenczi for a year and have been very pleased with the level of care that she has provided for my diabetic condition. She is an attentive , caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate person who listens, and demonstrates a caring attitude to your medical issues. Dr. Ferenczi is incredible. I feel like I'm in amazing hands with a provider who cares about her patients. I HIGHLY recommend her and am so thankful to have found such an incredible doctor. It's rare to find a doctor who will actually sit down with you and discuss a situation in depth, listen to what you're saying, and give an in-depth, honest opinion and course of treatment. Dr. Ferenczi is that doctor! She is very sweet, communicates clearly, and takes the stress out of the appointment.
