Dr. Andrea Marie Abbott

Dr Abbott provided superior guidance and care. Every aspect of the surgery was explained in terms we could absorb and understand.

Dr Abbott is great. She dealt with my complete insanity during my cancer diagnosis with parience and genuine concern. She did her best to give me the facts while also offering me a ray of hope in what was an otherwise very grim and discouraging prognosis. She did my surgery and today she called me to talk about the findings from my surgery. I am cancer free as of today and I give her and her surgical skills a huge amount of credit for that. You can complain about having to wait 30inutes to see her if you think that is important, but I will not complain about something that petty. To me Dr Abbott is quite literally a life saver and I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Dr Abbott is the leader in surgical oncology. She takes extra time to research every case personally to provide the best treatment options. I trust her expertise and her word without a shred of doubt. She truly takes pride and cares for her patients as if they were her own family. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Not impressed. As 2nd opinion, didn't take the time to herself review my medical history and records and images prior to my appt. Additionally over an hour behind and sent in her nurse to go over everything amd do the exam. When she finally did pop her head in she was rushed and when I asked for clarification in my questions she seemed annoyed. Doesn't even order her own diagnostic imagi g or tests. All communication it seems is thru her nurse. Who seems nice enough, but I didn't drive 3 hours (one way) for a 2nd opinion with a nurse. I could have gotten rhat (and more) locally. Only plus is that I did feel comfortable with the radiologist I spoke with who would be doing any procedures. Any doctor too busy to at least pretend to review a new patients records ought not be accepting new patients. And nurse triage should not misrepresent you will e seeing the physician for the 2nd opinion, when obviously that is not the case (but I am sure they will bill my insurance as if it was). Better options @ MUSC. Hindsight, I would have requested another physician. Do not be fooled by her videos on MUSC webpage...this is not the doctor that walked into my exam room.

Dr Abbott is the best. She saved life.Thank you SO MUCH
