Problem with trigger finger. He also was my surgeon back in 2015. He removed a cyst from my left thumb and I have never had any more problems. Can barely see a scar.

Drs Ishak and Zeman have provided excellent care when I had serious injuries from falls. This included rebuilding one arm that was crushed so badly that doctors at USC said I’d never use it again. And remedying severed tendons in the other hand.

Very caring staff! Dr. Ishak even called me after my son’s surgery! Best experience we have had at a doctor office! We felt my son was well takes care of since the beginning!

Great surgeon. Fixed my carpal tunnel, all pain gone. Can sleep again and able to pick things up without dropping them all the time. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Ishak has performed two wrist surgeries on my broken wrist. Both times I recovered well with total movement and use of my wrist. He answered my questions and explained all procedures he performed. He is caring and highly competent. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ishak to anyone looking for a hand or wrist surgeon.

Complete professional’s from the front desk, PT staff and Dr. Ishak. Convenient location’s for easy appointments. Hopeful I’ll never have to see them again but if I do I wouldn’t hesitate one sec to choose Ventura Orthopedic’s. Thank’s for all your help with my Jersey Finger surgery.

Dr Ishak is excellent. He has done surgery on three fingers on my right hand for trigger finger release and next month I'm having two more on my left hand done. He and his staff are great.

Dr. Ishak treated my son for a broken finger. I was fully expecting that my son’s finger would require surgery since the break was quite bad, but Dr. Ishak was able to manually manipulate the bone back into place so it could heal. I was honestly in awe of his skills as a physician and was so grateful that my son was able to avoid surgery. Dr. Ishak’s bedside manner is professional and courteous. He was very kind to us and made sure to answer any questions we had. The office staff are also vey friendly, professional and courteous. The wait time is very reasonable and typically very short. We were very pleased with the care we received. Thank you ,Dr. Ishak, and staff.

Please Dr Ishak wanted to just straight to surgery without anything to back it up. Poor bedside manner as well. I asked him a question about a bump on my hand on my first visit and these were his exact words, “Look, you’re 55. You have arthritis.” It was not arthritis. It was a rheumatoid nodule.

He was great. I had same surgery about 12 years ago, I remember being in excruciating pain after surgery. This time y experience is so much more pleasant. He is a wonderful physician!

Ventura Orthopedics and Dr. Ishak turned a scary experience into a pleasant one. Dr. Ishak and his staff, from office staff to surgery staff to therapy staff, were all wonderful to work with. They were pleasant, efficient, kind, knowledgeable, and informative. Although I hope to never require their services again, I absolutely recommend them for orthopedic care and will return if necessary.

Occupational therapist did an outstanding job in fabricating my splint, in an addition to great medical side.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ishak. He answered all my questions and explained everything in detail. Very professional office with very caring staff.

After looking for a hand surgeon willing to do my finger after fracturing it a year ago dr. Ishak performed the surgery and I'm forever grateful!!!!! Not only is my finger finally ending straight but I literally not once take any pain medicine!!!!

Dr. Ishak is very thorough and gets to the heart of the issue quickly while answering all your questions. I had a very painful hand problem come up during the night and I saw him the following morning and it was thoroughly taken care of with the appropriate medication prescribed, great job Dr.

Dr. Ishak’s diagnosis was that I’m going to require surgery. I opted through dr. Ballard, for 2nd opinion, who told me that yes, with my type of sport injury, I’ll need surgery & if he needed one himself, dr. Ishak would be the one he’d pick for the surgery, I was 50 then, 2012. Here I am, 7 yrs later after the surgery, dr. Ishak’s results, on me at least, are phenomenal. With therapy, my surgery that involved a 6” plate & 12 screws in my wrist, feels like normal again. Wait time to see Dr. Ishak was brief. He was very kind, considerate and answered all my questions. When l had to cancel my second appointment due to bronchitis, it was easy to reach the office.

Extremely satisfied with Dr. Ishak and his office. I never have to wait a long time to see the doctor. So many doctors want to have a backlog in their waiting room. I definitely feel like Dr. Ishak’s staff schedules appropriately so patients are not waiting a long time. Besides that, they show concern for your needs. I think Dr. Ishak did a very good job on my hand surgery - no complications with a good result. The surgery center he uses was outstanding as well. On my last appointment Dr. Ishak himself came out to get me from the waiting room, which is very unusual. I asked and he said “well it’s all hands on deck” and I thought that was a great attitude for taking care of the patient. Excellent care, Dr. Ishaks Medical assistant was wonderful. Dr.Ishak is a great doctor I really appreciated his honesty and being straight forward about my procedure no sugar coating. With that being said the results of my surgery went great with minimal scarring.

Dr. Ishak is the best. I broke my wrist right before Thanksgiving and needed surgery. Without hesitation Dr. Ishak moved his schedule in order get me into surgery asap. His follow up care, along with his team, was thoughtful and thorough. Since my accident I have come across so many people that he has treated and we all agree. He is the best!!!!

Dr Ishak has performed two different surgeries on my wrists. He is an excellent surgeon, efficient and practical. He wont do more than necessary but will recommend the best treatment and get it done. I had a small fracture in my right wrist and the bone didnt heal right so after some therapy Dr Ishak recommended surgery to remove a small bone fragment - effectively ending months of pain. A year or so later I shattered my radius bone in a fall, it was a severe break on my left wrist. I called Dr Ishak from ER and he advised me to not have emergency surgery at the hospital. I saw him the next day and he scheduled a CT and surgery a few days later. I have a plate, screws and a couple of pins to piece the bone back together. The pins were removed a few weeks after surgery. I have some limitations on range of motion but due to the severity of the break I feel Dr Ishak put me back together as well as humanly possible. I would recommend Dr Ishak for any treatment for hand or wrist issues.

Dr Ishak recently performed a Xiaflex procedure for Dupuytren's contracture on my right hand. Dr Ishak and his staff were courteous and professional from the first appointment to discuss the procedure, the two procedure visits and the follow-up visit. Dr Ishak and Ventura Orthopedic have a hand therapy group on site for post procedure therapy which makes the procedure and the follow up therapy that much easier. I would highly recommend Dr Ishak and Ventura Orthopedics for all hand and any other orthopedic issues.

I wrote a review yesterday and said what an excellent hand surgeon Dr. Ishak is, but also I want to say what a beautiful facility he works at. Also his staff are friendly and kind. The hand therapy department is outstanding. The physical therapists are knowledgeable and kind. My hand healed beautifully!

Professional staff, short wait times, the doctor himself is knowledgeable, has a clear passion for his work and is willing to share his insight into the diagnosis. I would recommend friends and family to Dr. Ishak for any hand needs.

Worst doctor ever. Please be careful and stay away from him.

I had a distal radius fracture and Dr. Ishak did a great job fixing me up. He really knows his stuff and is super confident. He did a great job with surgery by putting a plate in my wrist and follow care was very good.

Dr Ishak is a friendly, concerned, no nonsense kind of doctor. He gave me a clear explanation of my situation and his recommended remedy first for trigger finger then a broken wrist. This doctor runs a mill - I'm not surprised if he doesn't do 30-40 surgeries per day on Thursdays. He and his cohorts at Ventura Medical own a surgery center in Ventura and require all patients to have procedures done there no matter how simple. I can't go under general anesthetic but the doctor insisted I do so. While sure of himself he cares nothing about building patients trust. His office staff actually hung up on me when I asked a question they didn't want to answer.

Dr. Ishak and his staff are very friendly and efficient. Had surgery 2 weeks ago and you wouldn't know anything was wrong. Great job.

He is a very good surgeon. Fixed my carpal tunnel issue in my right hand and advised against another proceedure that had a low chance of success. I’m going back for my left hand.

When I shattered my wrist I wasn't sure if I would be able to use my hand again, but thanks to you doing such a wonderful job my recovery is far greater than I would have imagined. Dr. Ishak and Ventura Orthopedics are in my opinion among the best in SoCal. In a professional capacity, I work with and have contracted with my physicians for biotech drug development. As a result, I have become quite selective in whom I trust, especially for invasive procedures such as the treatment of Dupuytren contracture with Xiaflex or surgery. On the recommendation of Dr. Ishak, I chose Xiaflex and the result was spectacular! The staff is professional and courteous as well.

Our son suffered a traumatic hand injury. Dr. Ishak went out of his way (after hours) to evaluate our son's injury and schedule surgery for the next day. Four months, three surgeries and a handful of physical therapies later, our son is back to normal. I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Ishak's attention to our son's surgeries and progress. Dr. Ishak is a personable, highly skilled, no nonsense surgeon who simply takes care of business in a competent and direct manner. Highly recommended!!

Ventura Orthopedics staffing is excellent! During a 3 month period I have worked with therapists in both Ventura/Oxnard offices. Both PT programs were exceptional. Dr. Ishak has been professional and helpful, reg. recovering use of right hand following a fall, broken fingers, etc. I have been able to receive encouragement and support , for approximately 25 appts. From Front Desk, to scheduling, to actually doing the 'hard work', all members of this Orthopedic group have been outstanding!

On my first visit with Dr. Ishak I was in very bad shape. He made his afternoon schedule available for my emergency surgery to save my left index finger. Through his care and expertise my finger did not have to be amputated.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Ishak. Some may not love his bedside manners, but I loved him. He is straightforward and honest with you. He never rushed me and never made me feel dumb, (and I asked lots of dumb questions!). What I like the most about him though is that he knows his stuff. I had a pretty bad hand injury, (shredded some fingers in a lawnmower), and he knew exactly what to do and how to do it. He is an expert at what he does. Also, it doesn't hurt that he has an amazing staff!!

Dr Ishak has a very caring staff. Making any appointment or inquiries are always treated in a very professional manner.(Lisa/Jackie) Margarita Dr Ishak nurse is so wonderful and caring. Getting exrays was the fastest ever. Loving to only have to go to one office and get it all done. The thing I've see in this how well the staff treats each other. If you are looking for a Dr who cares about your health with a Wonderful staff go to him. Dr Ishak you and your staff are a 10 in my view.

Horrible experience with this dr. Didn't listen to my problems. Felt rushed. Wanted to perform tests I didn't even need. Saw a different doctor who helped me in one appt. This dr does not listen to his patients!
