"What makes you think you warrant further testing?" This was what Dr. Davis (?) asked me at my visit. Still not sure who he was, but I was left alone in a room with him until Dr. Neumeister came in. I was trying to be seen regarding a second opinion on Cyclical Cushing's Disease/Syndrome. I absolutely would not recommend UNMC if you believe that you have Cushings. I did not have a great experience with any doctors in Nebraska when it came to testing as no one was knowledgeable. Dr. Neumeister herself told me that unless my 24 hour UFC came back, "astronomically high" there is no way I could have Cushings because it is SO rare. As with the other doctors I had seen prior, they wanted to blame my weight, basically call me lazy. Guess what? I was diagnosed with cyclical cushings. The reason that this is so "rare" is not that it's rare necessarily, but rather underdiagnosed because doctors these days want to blame the patient for everything. Frankly addresses issues at hand, dealt sensitively with concerns. Course-corrected PCP's errors and eliminated unnecessary medication.

Friendly & knowledgeable doctor. Slow with results and returning phone calls. I just couldn't take the slow pace. Otherwise, highly recommended.

I loved Dr. Amy Neumeister!!! We lived in Omaha temporarily and Dr. Neumeister worked with me and my thyroid issues through two pregnancies. She treated me and my children kindly when I couldn’t find babysitters and had to bring them with me to my appointments. Dr. Neumeister always listened to my concerns and was just awesome! Dr. Neumeister does not listen to her patients, she believes whatever her first answer is not only is the best plan but the only plan. Appointments can take months and when you do finally see her she talks down to you and doesn't answer questions.

Amy is AMAZING!! she takes the time to get to no her patients n really listens n cares. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her she is so loving n caring n for being in Omaha not a small town like I'm use to she made me feel like my primary small town dr

I've had many endocrinologists over the last 15 years of being a type one diabetic. None come close to the knowledge, care, and concern of Dr. Neumeister. She is incredibly helpful and supportive, offering insight to help me reach my health goals. She carefully reviews blood sugars and trends to help you lower your numbers safely. Very attentive and knowledgeable and has genuine care for her patients. She is very busy, so be aware that you will need to book appointments a few months in advance.

I do not feel this Dr. Has done anything really to help me. Never get to see her.She never tries to give more information that would help control blood sugars over all very Disappointed with this dr
