Dr. Amy Lu is an exceptional surgeon and I would highly recommend her and her team. I have honestly never been so impressed with a surgeon like her. Dr. LU did a kidney transplant on me Feb 3, 2022 and the care I received was exceptional at HCA Largo Medical Center. Dr. LU is a very caring doctor and her team she has is the best. I didn’t know what to expect beforehand however her skills are superior. The team that cared for me post were all top notch and don’t have any complaints about her skills, bedside manner’s, or the continuous care I received post transplant. If you are thinking about this surgeon, I think she is top notch and very pleased and highly recommend her and her outstanding team of ICU nursing staff, transplant coordinators, and advanced kidney care staff post surgery that make sure you’re in the best of hands 24/7 I’m really happy with all the staff from the transplant coordinators that were on top of my progress throughout my process. I did everything that was asked by the transplant coordinators and never skipped a dialysis day and was completely compliant. Stay positive and strong, you are in the best of care here and the hospital surprisingly the hospital staff is all very friendly and feels like a very close family throughout the hospital and staff. Dr. Lu saved my life......what more can I say ?

Dr Lu - so many things to say about this surgeon at Tampa General. She is caring, compassionate and attentive to detail. Quite frankly she gives so much. We had a tough call as liver wasn’t strong and she called off surgery at last minute. It was a tough choice and we will forever respect her for that from your number 1 fan club! #TeamKen #TattooKen
